I use to take 10-325 of Percocet 5 times a day. My new doctor lowered the dosage to 3times a day. Saying I was takin too much. I had bad withdrawal and ended up in the hospital. I now take 3 10-325 along with 500mg of tyenol to control my pain. Even with that amount I'm still in a lot of pain. What should i do, I feel like my doctor is not listening to me. I feel the only reason he lower the dosage was because the CDC is being hard on them. Naproxen and Paracetamol/Acetaminophen is the combination you mentioned. This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory combo used to treat pain and swelling. Acetaminophen is actually not directly classified as such, in the U.S., but it is similar enough that the FDA will not allow these medications to be combined into one product, here, due to the dangers. What rights do patients have to receive effective pain management? What recourse does one have when every health care professional they are seeing refuses to treat pain effectively? Why are there so many people receiving strong opiates when they don't actually have any legitimate diagnosis to support the use of such medications. I am changing from 125 mcg of Fentanyl with 10 mg oxycodone 4x daily to hydrpmorphone and Lyrica since pain isn't being controlled. What should the new dosings be? The doctor said i was being prescribed vicodin but the bottle says "hydrod/apap 5/500 mallin". Is that the same as vicodin? ## Based on the abbreviation of hydrod/apap 5/500 that points to the active ingredients Hydrocodone 5 mg / Acetaminophen (APAP) 500 mg, which are the same ingredients as in Vicodin. Mallin is most likely referring to the manufacturer of the medication (Mallinckrodt?) - So yes, what you have is a generic equivalent of Vicodin. ## I thought it was same as norco. I've googled and searched message boards and haven't found anything that looks like this pill. It's small, round, kind of a Pepto bismol pink, and has only a triangle imprint. There is no scoring, letters, or numbers. It is a hard consistency. Does not break easily. Does anyone have any ideas what this may be?
