## I HAVE TAKEN FENTANYL TRANS PATCHES FOR QUITE SOME TIME NOW, DUE TO ENDOMETRIOSIS. BEWARE WHEN YOU GO INTO HOSPITAL, YOUR BODY COULD BUILD UP A RESISTANCE TO MORPHINE. MINE DID AND ON THREE OCCASIONS. DOCTORS DIDNT LISTEN WHEN I TOLD THEM MORPHINE DIDNT WORK, LEFT IN AGONY ON ALL OCCASIONS. ONE TIME IT WAS FOR MAJOR SURGERY. I FEEL ALL SHOULD BE AWARE OF THIS. HAS IT HAPPENED TO ANYONE ELSE? PLEASE LET ME KNOW. ## my daughter was given 75mg patches and dismissed from the hospital at noon one day and died at l0:30 the next morning due to overdose. She was a cystic fibrosis patient that had breathing problems and weighed at her best 89 pounds. I know a man that gets prescribed pain killers from his doctor and sells the pills to people on the street so they can be high. I don't think his doctor is aware of what he is doing with the pills. What can be done about the situation? ## Sue I would make a call to his doc and not give my name because its people like him that makes it hard for people who need them! I've been in pain management for over 19 yrs. I have and infused neck front and back my neck was broken from the airbag and a drunk driver and I'm 56 years old and I've never been high from my meds and knew it OK I'm too busy trying not hurt and to sell one of them hell no I don't even give any away lol ## Please help me stop a woman who is selling vicodin 10/325 and 15mg roxicodone to people in NY. I have oxycodone 10’s (5 of them) and it looks like they got wet or something. The imprint is kind of faded. I can barely see the numbers and it didn’t take the pain away like it usually does. My question is, what could it be? Could they have gotten wet or is it a bad batch from the pharmacy? ## Hi Red, Sorry to hear about your situation. In my opinion I think you should contact your primary care physician since the pills are not working for you in the way that they normally do and explain the situation. Considering your pills are still in tact and the imprint is still legible he/she may be willing to refill your script or exchange them so that you are not taking partial doses of your medication. I suppose ultimately it would come down to your opinion of if the pills are sti...

Is it safe to take ibuprofen that expired 3 years ago? What are the pros or cons? That’s all I have to ask. ## It doesn't become dangerous, but it may have lost some efficacy, according to FDA warnings, so it may not work as well as it did, when it was new. Overall, it usually best to dispose of expired medications, and purchase a new supply. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with? Specifically, regarding your question, it might be milder than it originally was so that's a pro, but it might not work as well as you need, which could be a con. You should also take into consideration any other medications you are on, and if your doctor ...

Hi. I have been taking Enanplus (75mg tramadol + 25mg dexketoprofen combo) for many weeks, for pain from a cam hip. Although I have tried to stop them, I get a few unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. I believe i should gradually decrease the dosage, but they only come in a standard dose. Am I correct in thinking, that if I split the tabs (e.g. go from 1 tab to 3/4, then 1/2 etc) I should be able to wean myself off of them? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

ive experienced fainting, diarrhea, severe abdominal cramps on the first day of my period starting again. Earlier i found my mefenamic acid tablets that was prescribed to me last year, i was wondering if i could take paracetamol as well as the mefenamic acid tablet. I have looked online to see if i could, but some websites say not to take it and some say you can, can anyone help me please? ## I've checked some of the most reliable webpages and haven't found any drug interactions listed between these two medications. I also came across the following paragraph from emedtv.com, stating: "If you do not take your mefenamic acid dosage as scheduled, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is close to the next scheduled dose, skip the missed one and continue with norma...

Hi, I have been taking 100mg tramadol and hydrocodone 10-325mg for 6years together for chronic pain. I recently tried to fill both my scripts and was told by the pharmacist that I can no longer fill both since tramadol has been classed as a controlled substance that I would have to pick one that I want to take. I am pretty upset. Is there a way around this, I am a nurse and have patients that get multiple narcotic perscriptions at the same time how are they able to do that. Many people are on different types of narcotics at the same time for chronic pain because they work differently I dont see how the government can do this to people. ## I am very sorry about the problem that you've run into. It really makes no sense, because there is no regulation restricting someone to just one b...

Can you tell me if this drug is legitimate? it is packaged as V C Don, mfd. in India by a Vax pharmaceuticals. Supposed to be hydrocodone and aceteminophen, 10/625. it is an oblong, tan colored pill and comes in blister packs. ## Hello, Ramette! How are you? As to this medication, I have to say that your guess is as good as anyone else's. When it comes to unmarked tablets ordered from a foreign, non-FDA approved source, the only way to be certain of what you've received would be to pay to have it analyzed. It may be their version of Vicodin, it could be a placebo, or it could be something else entirely. Learn more Vicodin details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry ...

Need help finding a doctor that will prescribe in Minnesota. I have been dealing with chronic back pain for many years. Ruptures my L5-S1 disk and it keeps getting worse. In the past, I have been on Vicodin, percocet, etc, and my quality of life was much better. But that doctor left. Over time, pain came back more and more, exercise decreased due to pain, quality of life is low. Tired of dealing with Chiropractors and such, and docs that only say stuff like "try Advil". Need something to help with the pain, so I can exercise and get some quality of life back. I live in the Twin Cities. If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know! ## I am in the same boat but I am post SI joint fusion, fibromyalgia which most docs don't believe in yet a med was created for that........

my husband used to take empirin#3 and wants to try it again because of chronic pain but we are not sure if it is even available. ## I too would like to know if empirin #3 is available. Did you ever find out? Would appreciate a reply. Thanks. ## The name of the medication is actually Empirin with Codeine, the marking on the tablets is Empirin 3. It contains Aspirin and Codeine, so it's a narcotic analgesic and yes, even several years from the time of the posts asking, in 2013, it is still available. Learn more Aspirin details here and you can learn more Codeine details here. Since it contains a narcotic, it does have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Seriously? Is Everyone just hoping their little white pills are some kind of hydrocodone! Wow. Wonder why 2015 is the year the FDA decided that all C2 RX would have to be written, signed off by a DR. and carried into the pharmacy. The good old fax, phone call came to a screaming halt, due to the general public wanting to catch a buzz. Pissed off the rest of us who really need pain meds to function on a day to day basis. Try cannabis or grab a beer. Get off my RX. Refills. I don't take your food do I? Get help. ## Do you even know why so many people are asking if this is hydrocodone? No? Me either, but if they're going through what I'm going through right now, then they may be freaking out cause they just found this pill in their teenagers room, or they got their meds mixed u...

My 50 yr old son took 4 tabs of hydrocodone bitartrate w/ apap (5mg/325mg) ## In my honest opinion, any type of drug related overdose can be pretty serious, especially because many of them tend to be life-threatening as well! Based on my research, symptoms associated with Hydrocodone overdose may include the following: -narrowed or widened pupils -slow, shallow, or stopped breathing -slowed or stopped heartbeat -cold, clammy, or blue skin -excessive sleepiness -loss of consciousness -seizures -death I also need to point out that if someone takes more than the recommended dose of acetaminophen, it is imperative that they get medical help immediately, even if the person does not have any symptoms. Symptoms of an acetaminophen overdose may include: -nausea -vomiting -loss of appetite -swea...

white oblong no markings score on one side ## does anyone know what a white oblong shaped pill scored with no other marking is? it says Stellas International, UK ## I placed an order over the Internet for 10G generic Amben. Well guess what, they are fake. Each pill should have some type of identifying letters or numbers. BEWARE!!! ## The law regarding them having to have identifying numbers is only relevant to the U.S. and Canada. Other countries do not have the same regulations in place, so you could very well receive medications from another country that does not have any markings on it, but may still be exactly what you ordered. The problem, of course, is that without any markings, there is no way to be certain that they are what you received. In the U.S. if a tablet doesn't have...

Was told this medication was klonepan. But, I've never saw or heard of those in orange. ## Hi! How are you? It's a generic or store brand of Advil or Motrin. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach irritation. Learn more Ibuprofen details here. I am prescribed 10 mg Norco's 4x per day, 10 mg Valium 3 x daily, topical lidocaine and benzocaine, 50 mg of duloxetine per day, 50 mg of amitriptyline per day, 2 mg estradiol per day, I use a pro air inhaler which has albuterol, Ibuprofen as needed, melatonin as needed, and an iron pill. The problem is I just took a drug screen for work and they did a dip test which showed up positive for morphine, Oxy, and benzodiazepines. I have never taken OxyContin or oxycodone before. I have never taken morphine before with the exception of a post surgical drip three years ago. I would like to know what would cause an overdose in a male who is 225 lbs. in weight using oxycodone. I have over 220 5 mg. tabs. ## Please correct me if I am wrong, but to my knowledge, Oxycodone doses aren't usually based on weight, but rather the severity of the pain you're dealing with. I went ahead and posted the adult dosing guidelines below...As far as ODing on oxycodone, I would guess anything over a 100mg, since you can get them in doses of as high as 80mg and oxycontin at even higher doses. For initial treatment the following dosing schedule is recommended: Immediate Release (IR): 5 mg to 15 mg orally every 4 to 6 hours Controlled Release (CR): 10 mg orally every 12 hours. For maintenance treatment: Immediate Release: 10 mg to 30 mg orally every 4 hours. Doses greater...
