Transferring within company and have legal scripts for pain management have to take urine drug screen. Can they fire you for testing positive ## I take Norco 4 times a day. On a drug test it showed positive for opiates. Is that how it should be? Did I pass the test?

I am a teenager and I am suffering from severe pain during the periods. The doctor I consulted did not ask any details nor did tell the reason why I have got the pain, she prescribed me half a tablet cyclopam to be consumed when I get the menstrual cramps. I have Crohn's disease and IBS that causes severe debilitating abdominal pain and have been prescribed oxycodone and morphine to help control it. However, now that I've moved to Richmond Virginia I can't find any pain management doctors that are willing to treat stomach pain. I've hit a dead end, and don't know what to do. My mom just got her pain medicine and it says A 40 on it and I can't find an image anywhere so I can make sure they're ok to take. ## If your mom just got her prescription filled at a licensed pharmacy, she should have received it in a normal prescription bottle with a label attached. I find it very alarming that this information would be absent. I did locate a white capsule-shaped pill marked with "A 40" that reportedly contains a combination of Acetaminophen (325mg) + Hydrocodone bitartrate (10mg), made by KVK-Tech. the capsule i saw had no imprints or colored lines separating the red and blue.... was this an authentic oxycodone 30??? ## If there were no imprints, then it wasn't a legal, manufactured Oxycodone from the U.S. They are all required to have imprints to enable their identification. The only way a capsule containing Oxycodone wouldn't have imprints, would be if a doctor specially ordered a certain dosage and combination of the medication, which had to be done by a compounding pharmacy. In those cases, the capsules are also usually clear, not red and blue. Are there any other questions? ## I just got the same thing. I was put on Hydrocodone for 3 years due to a stroke I had. My pain is coming from the brain. The PM'S started me off with 5-325. No results on the pain. Then they increased the dose 7.5-325. Some relief but not much in order to have a quality of life. Then they increased it to 10-325 90 per month. In the wee hours of the morning I would wake up with pain, so I was cutting one in half, leaving me short of pills for the month. So they increased it to 120. I got to where I was taking too many and the PM discharged me for a breach of contract. Then I found another PM. Same thing happened, but this time instead of discharging me they put me on week to week basis - 21 pills a week. I was diagnosed 5 years ago with DDS and at first by back pain was minimal. After a year or so it began to get bad enough for me to see the Dr. every 3 months or so for a prescription of Oxycodone and 800mg Ibuprofen. I have since moved and my Dr I have now told me flat out he would not give me "narcotics". Why do Dr's treat us this way. I have medical records showing my valid medical issue. It is either Oxycontin, which is a 12 hour time released medication, meant to be taken twice a day or Roxicodone, which is meant to be taken more frequently. Ha, whoever said Mallinckrodt is better than Qualitest is badly mistaken....The 10mg/325 Norcos by Qualitest are some of the best going....Mallies give people headaches.....I'd give about .50 cents for a 5mg one..... ## The differences people are noticing across one manufacturer to another vary based on so many different factors (i.e. tolerance, age, weight, metabolism, digestive health, mentality, body chemistry, etc) that there is virtually no way to disprove someone's own reasoning / opinion as to why they feel the way they do about one tablet working better or worse than the other. For 7 yrs. I have been prescribed 15 mg.Oxycodone I.R. And the pharmacy has always been consistent with Activis Brand : 15 on 1 side / A214 on the other. My pharmacy has switched to Mallincrodt with the markings of M on 1 side / 15 on the other side. Does anybody have input as to which they believe to be better / worse ?
