Pain Management Broome County Ny

Are there any drs in or near Binghamton ny that aren't scared to wright pain med prescriptions my original dr went out with cancer and ever since then I've had nothing but problems I've been on the same meds for eight years and now with all the people abusing it I'm a target and in severe pain I've lost twenty plus pounds and lost a awsome job cause I have to worry week to week about my pain meds

The first question is, how are you looking for a doctor?

The reason I'm asking is because if you're calling them and asking if they'll prescribe a specific medication, then it is highly likely that you will have problems, because most doctors will consider that drug seeking behavior.

What you need to do is set up an appointment and make sure they receive a full copy of your most current medical records. If they can see what has and hasn't worked for you as documented by a fellow physician, they will be more likely to prescribe accordingly.

Does anyone have a specific doctor in that area that they can recommend?

Never ask for specific . Just want something done besides given tons of meds that don't work and someone who will listen and do something when the original plans not working AMD not give up

It has been my own experience that most doctors in Broome county won't give out pain medication. Period. They will gladly give scripts for nsaids or suggest a patient takes Tylenol- I'm also suffering dreadfully from ongoing back pain and hip pain and sciatica also. Plus I'm diabetic with kidney issues from the diabetes and I see a neurologist ( kidney specialist) who specifically stated I would be better off taking Percocet than to take nsaids or Tylenol because of the effects they have on the kidney and liver and my Dr office still won't prescribe anything. It a ridiculous.

I was on pain meds for fifteen years. Dr. Hodgeman, but he left and remain will but she is very rude and pisses you very often. Which if you take them regularly no problem. However, she WILL NOT UP YOUR DOSE! SHE PLAYS GAMES SHE WILL ADD Prozac, or cymbalta. But she will give them out.
