I just realized my painkillers are not scored down the middle,they are small yellow round tablets with an fancy V on one side and 230 on other.It it okay to break them? Was given to me at pharmacy...But I can't find them any where. ## Hi Shonta, There is a white round tablet imprinted with R P 30, that's identified as a 30mg Oxycodone hydrochloride pill. However I haven't seen an actual photograph and can only base this off of a description from Rhodes Pharmaceuticals (hence the R P). That said, these descriptions are somewhat vague and do not mention whether or not there is a score line. Although from what I'm finding, no other pill description matches yours as closely as this one does. So I'd be willing to bet that Oxycodone is what it is. I am currently taking oxycodone hcl ir 10mg 3 times a day as prescribed by my dr for 4 herniated disks with degeneration in my neck. I have very severe chronic pain in my neck, shoulder, and arm from this. The pills do help with the pain, but only last about 3 hours. which still leaves me in pain a lot of the day. Should I just inform my dr of this, or should I request a certain amount a day? I have been taking this amount for about 5 months now. I need to find a doctor or a pain treatment center that will prescribe Oxycodone 30 mg for treatment of oestoparosis, degenerative disc decease, protruding disc, tare in my thecal sac. Hi, I've read these forums for years now and have never posted anything myself but I am in a panic. I have been taking 30 milligram oxycodone 4 times a day for 5 years. I had two major back surgery is and I'm not eligible for a third one due to scar tissue at the surgical site. Every month I swear to myself up and down that I will never run out of these pills again and every month I run out. Well this month it's been the worst I have been taking 180 milligrams that's 6 pills a day for the last 3 or 4 days my prescription runs out on the 24th of this month and I have 12 pills left. My main question is can I start weaning off of it from 180 milligrams down to one pill a day which is 30 milligrams or is that just too drastic of a cut. Also I'm seeing my doctor on Friday...

I am currently prescribed fentanyl 25mcg and hydromorphone 4mg aka dilaudid. I am currently 8 weeks pregnant and have been on prescribed oxycodone 30mg 3x a day for the past 8 years. I do not want to take it during my pregnancy and have been trying to self taper but scared withdrawals will cause a miscarriage. This baby is so loved and wanted its just unfourtunate i have 11 discs in my neck n spine that are in some way outta wack on top of Rheumotoid Arthritis which i am on no meds for. I want to try to switch to subutex and then taper off that and be totally free of addictive meds by 6 mos and have a non addicted baby with no need to withdrawal. My husband got a refill of his oxycodone/apap from the VA that has 4839 over a line and a "v" in script under the line. They usually have 512 on one side and the line on the other side. Is it possible that the same medicine Oxycodone 30mg, made by two different manufacturers, different codes, are both legitimate? One is darker than the other.
