On July 24th I literally had a freak accident and fell 3 feet breaking 3 vetebra in my back and doing extensive tissue, muscle and nerve damage. I'm seeing a Neuro Surgeon UK but he is unwilling to perscribe me anything above a Loritab 10 now, but when I was in the hospital I was being given 2 - Perc 30's and 1 - Valium to keep the pain away which was working completely awesome. I am in need of a pain clinic or Doctor here in Kentucky, I don't mind driving, to get the help that I need. PLEASE someone help me find a doctor that will help be out of this misery as this is the FIRST EVER bones I have ever broken. THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP!! ## Hello, Sorry to hear about your accident BearAngelEyes. I may not have a doctor I can refer you to, but I can provide you...

I'm overweight and have severe knee pain..I can't take loratabs or anything with codeine because of itching and nausea...1/2 of oxycodone 30mg gets rid of my pain with no itching or nausea..why does this occur if they are both similar as far as being opiates? Also, is it OK to take oxycodone during the day and somas for my pain at night as they help me sleep? ## Different medications affect people differently. There is really no other explanation for it. For example, if I take Morphine, it makes me very, very drowsy, and I can't stay awake, and Dilaudid is often given to people in the ER, who present with severe migraines, but it actually gives me a headache and makes me sick. All are possible side effects, as listed by the FDA, it is really just a matter of finding one that...

i am 32 years old and have suffered from lower back pain approx 5 to 6 years. i do belive it is mainly from my job as a drywall hanger for the past 16 yrs. i have been taking about 3 or 4 10 mg percocets a day but can no longer afford to buy them, i am a single dad with a 7 and 3 yr old and money is tight. without the percocet i cant sleep and its hard to work at my job. does anyone have any sugesstions for a dr in the st.louis area that will listen to me rather than automaticaly assume i am a drug adict just because i have worked to take care of my family and understand i have a bad back because of it ## Well, regardless of what doctor you use, even if you find a better one, it is not going to solve the problem of paying for the medication. Unfortunately, since narcotics are controlled...

I have pain shooting from my left lower back. It runs down the left side to the foot. Also tingling. I am on 10mg oxycodone + 325mg acetaminophen. I've been on them for I think 3 yrs. So they are not working. My question is how do I go about telling my doctor that I need something stronger without sounding like an addict? Thanks for all answers. Greatly appreciated! ## Hello, Mack! How are you? Has there been any change? At this point, I don't think the concern is needing more medications, but to make sure that you are not experiencing a heart problem, which many such issues on the left side of your body could possibly indicate. Thus, it is best to just tell your doctor what is happening, including the pain you're experiencing, and go from there. However, do not ask them for...

Walmart has been getting the green 10/325 oxycodone is there any difference from the oblong white 10/325? I have been getting those at Walmart and now they have changed it. ## Hello, Patti! How are you? When a medication is available as a generic, it is usually manufactured by several different companies, the FDA has done this to try to create market competition to help keep prices down. As a result, which one your pharmacy carries may change, at any given time, depending on who was offering the cheapest price, when they needed to restock their supply. Without knowing the markings on it, I can only theorize, but my best guess is that they have just been manufactured by a different company. However, if you post back with the markings, I will be happy to double check for you to be sure. T...

Can u tell me how the np 13 yellow pill is different from light blue 15's? I understand u are saying they are both oxycodone, 15 mg', but there is something very different on relief recieved. Why would that be the case? ## Hello, Sherry! How are you? Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient, by as much as plus or minus 20%. Additionally, generics are not required to measure against each other, only against the name brand, so that can sometimes create problems, if someone is sensitive to medications, any slight fluctuation could cause them problems. The FDA considers this an acceptable therapeutic window, and most people never experience a difference, but sometimes, it can cause a problem. The g...

Is this the same as taking Percocet yellow oblong pill one dide says percocet the other says 10/325 are they as strong? ## Hello, Kim! How are you? Yes, it is just a generic version of it. There can be slight fluctuations, as permitted under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, but the only way to see if helps you is by trying them. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Got some 25mg amitriplytine and guy told me it is a percoet 15mg are they close to see feeling from doing them to releieve pain ## Hello, Eddy! How are you? NO, Amitriptyline is an antidepressant, thought it can sometimes help with some types of nerve pain, it must be taken consistently for several weeks, before it usually starts to help. It does not have any immediate pain relieving properties like Percocet does. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and weight changes. Is there anything anything else I can help with?

Hi everyone/anyone...I was told that the round white oxycodone 10/325 made by mylan with a National Drug Code of 00378710601 (the only one that worked for me)..was not being made/suppled anymore... ## Yes it is. I got it a few mos ago after Surgery ## Hi Church lady, I'm looking at the timing of the original post when Wanda stated that it was not being made/supplied anymore, and it just so happens that July is only a few months away from October (the timing of your post when you said you "got it a few months ago"). So my guess is that you may have got the last of it around the same time frame Wanda posted this thread. It's the only logical conclusion I could come to. Just wanted to help add some closure to this reasoning. Has anyone else out there managed to find a worki...

I've never taken oxycodone/acetaminophen 7.5/325 in my life until yesterday for pain. I took a total of 1 3/4 pills total and don't plan on taking any more. I took 1/2 pill at 10 am, another 1/2 at 2 pm, 1/2 at bedtime and this morning I cut the remaining 1/2 pill in half and took that at 7 am. When would it be safe to drink wine? It is now 12 hours after I took the last 1/4 pill. ## Hello, Olivia! How are you? After 12 hours it should fine, but it would be best to double check with your pharmacist to be certain. The main reason you are told not to drink with it is due to the way alcohol tends to worsen the side effects, which can include depression of the central nervous system. In some cases, if someone indulges in too much of either one, there is a risk of death, according to...

I have an off white /light yellow round tablet with 230 on one side and a weird logo on other side it looks sorta like pacman. Can u tell me what it is? ## Hello, Joe! How are you? Yes, this tablet is manufactured by Alvogen and they list it as containing 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, a generic for Percocet. The FDA classifies this tablet as a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was changed from hydrocodone 10-325 to oxycodone 10 -325. The hydrcodone always showed in my blood tests but through a DNA pharmaceutical screening I was told that I didn't metabolize it well and was changed to oxycodone and all the sudden it did not show in my blood work. I have been accused of not taking my medication! It was stopped and I have been suffering for four months now! I'm really trying to research this because my pcp says it was questioned by a pain management dr that said, I couldn't be taking my meds. I have a failed fusion in my spine from the T-10 to the L-2, I'm diabetic, I have fibromyalgia, spondilosis L-4 and L-5, arthritis in all above and below the surgical areas of my spine. I have gout and chronic kidney problems, I have a large hyaddle hernia...

i receive oxycodone on a monthly basis for severe pain, i have not had one (10/325mg) in 3 weeks, if i take one tonite and one in the morning will my urine show up positive tomorrow morning when i see the doctor??? ## It probably will, but there could be another problem that you may run into. On most of these tests, the doctors aren't just checking for the presence of the drug in question, but they also check the levels of it. When you are prescribed a certain dosage, at a certain frequency, your levels should fall within a certain range and anything that falls outside of that range can alert them to a problem. Too high can mean that someone is abusing their medications and too low can mean that someone isn't taking them as prescribed and may be selling them. Are there any other...

I was given a plain yellow round pill that was supposed to be a new oxycodone 15 that can't be abused but it has no imprint codes or markings at all. Is this what it is? ## Hello, Cj! How are you? No, that is most likely something available over the counter, though there could be a small chance that is some type of foreign medication. Under current FDA law, all prescription tablets must have unique imprints to enable their identification, in case of emergency. The only exception would be for medications specially ordered by a doctor and done by a compounding pharmacy, which would be in capsules. The ones that are available from Purdue that have the abuse deterrent feature all have markings, they use OP on them and then the number of the dosage on the opposite side and the 15mg table...

Is this oxicodone 15? ## Yes, this tablet is manufactured by Epic Pharma and they list it as containing 15mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. I changed pharmacies the other day and received what is supposed to be Mallinckrodt 30mg oxy and 60mg morphine from Mallinckrodt. Both scripts the pills have a clean score mark on one side and 30 above the line and the infamous M in a box on the other. The oxy is white with a slight blue hue to it very, very light. The morphine same instead is has a 60 on the one side And M on the other. They are yellowish. Both scripts have pills missing stamps and are either rubbed off or something and the outer edge it looks like 2 pills smashed together. The oxy has a lot of powder in the bottom of the bottle and I dissolved one in water and it left about 1-10th of the pill powder behind. The morphine is just plain bad looking. Lots of missed stamps and no powder in the bottle. The color is quite od...

I ran out of 10/325 Oxycodone and can't get them from my doctor until Tuesday. Can I take one and a half of 7.5/325. The 7.5 has a M522 on it and is made by Mallinkrt Pharm ## Hello, Leander! How are you? They are not time released tablets, so they can be cut, but it would be best to make sure you have your doctor or pharmacist's approval to do so. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
