I have been changed from 140mgs oxycodone to 40 x 2 mgs Oxycontin. I had so much more pain control with the Oxycodone but doc wants me on a ER medication and one for breakthrough. I feel a huge difference with the Ocycontin, not in a good way. Would like to go back to what I was taking as the relief was superior. The Oxycontin I barely feel any relief. How can that be? BTW, have two herniated disc, one completely gone so bone on bone, spinal stenosis at two levels. Sciatica. Again with all the new laws I feel like I have to be grateful to get anything? 52 years old, and docs always thinking you're looking for something. I see a new doctor and would like to know if anyone knows how many oxycodone they are allowed to give before it's red flagged? ## Well, this is a little late, but thought i'd answer anyway in case anyone else looks it up....and I don't know if it varies by state, but in PA, I saw the 'report' the pharmacist has to submit(i THINK it was only for controlled substances), and it read like a damn government spy report, it was so pathetic... I guess the pharmacist gave it to me by accident. Anyway, one of the check boxes was 'More than 180 units?' So i guess it's 180 pills, then they had to special report it(to whom, i don't know.). I wish i had kept that paper, as I'm sure very few people have ever seen one,but this was over a year ago(from march 2017)...

I broke my foot and I'm in severe pain. What I have is called a lisfranc fracture. I was on Tylenol threes and they didn't help and then I got hydrocodone 5 - 3 - 5 and they didn't help the last thing I tried was Oxycodone 5 325 and they still didn't really take the pain away. So I asked my doctor for something that would help the pain and he prescribed me Tramadol 50 mg. I am apprehensive to get it filled and try it because I'm not reading anything positive about it. Please help! What is the next thing I should ask for if Oxycodone 5 325 isn't helping with my pain? Ok my drug test I bought from walmart came out negative and then I went right to probation to pee and it was dirty. How can that be possible? Is there any such thing as false positives? ## Yes, false positives are known to occur on standard urine tests anywhere from 4 to 50% of the time they are used. The main problem stems from the fact that most places are not required to use certified drug tests. Hello. Hope someone can help me. I'm 35 years old from CO professional skier. I had a total of 3 lumbar back surgeries since mid Augest. I am healing well but still have many nights sleepless because of pain. Most resent surgery was only 3 weeks ago. I came to my parent home in Newport Beach CA to recover. My doctor at the University of Colorado Spine center sent with me a totally 100% legitimate prescription for 10 mg Oxycodone. It's the real original sheet complete with his signature, DEA and licence number and all the security features. Is it possible to at least cut these in half in order to take a lower doseage? ## These are time released tablets and, even though they have tried to formulate them to prevent it, cutting them in half could still result in your getting too much of the medication released, at once. The Oxycodone in this is a very potent narcotic analgesic and getting too much at once could be very dangerous. If you require a lower dosage, you should contact your doctor, as they can prescribe them in a lower amount. Are there any other questions? ## I have cut these into quarters with no adverse affects. So it is basically become a 5mg dose. I like these because they do not contain acetaminophen like most other narcotic prescriptions. I am looking into changing pain management doctors. I've been on pain management over 8 yrs. My original one stopped doing pain mgmt last year & it took forever to find one to take my case. Now, i'm starting to question him & would like to know if anyone has any recommendations. I'm taking 40MG of OXYCODONE a day & 100MCG Fentanyl patch, plus Methocarbamol. Those are the "main" ones. Any help would be really appreciated! ## Pow dr dropped me over a U/A for alcohol. I'm so tired of the war over meds or medical marijuana. I just got rocked by my dr. I receive my care at a department of veterans affairs facility. I am prescribed oxycodone to cope with pain relating to degenerative disc disease, hereditary neuropathy with liability to pressure (HNPP), and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). I provided a urine drug screen and it came back positive for norfentanyl. The night before I took diphenhydramine for allergies/sleep, which I do not normally take. I DID NOT take norfentanyl or fentanyl (fentanyl was NOT found in the sample). Fentanyl is not prescribed to me and I did not take it. I desperately need an explanation to this. Very underdosed, I am in disbelief there is not a recall. I have to take twice the amount to sustain comfort compared to mallincroft brand. These tiny little pills are white with 15 on one side. 4 years ago I finally gave in and starting taking pain medicine for my back. It turned out I have fibromyalgia, sciatica and stenosis. I was put on Vicoden, but after about a month, it did nothing. I though about going back to just bearing the pain, but my Doctor at the Pain Clinic wanted me to try Oxycodone. He started me on a low dose and now I am on 30 mgs. three times a day. Two years later after rarely taking it because I hardly took it because it make me fall asleep a lot and make me feel depressed. I read somewhere that it wouldn't make one tired if it was insufflated. Then I read not to insufflate the coated pills. So now I use 2 or 3 pills, scraping off the coating. I worked my way up to not feeling high. I have an extreme tolerance because I am on 8 psycotropic medications...

I need to know all the manufacturer's and colors and imprints of oxycodone/acetaminophen 10/325, because of problems with all the changes with the compounds that they are changing within these pain pills, as well as manufacturer's changing hands. I wear 125 micrograms duragesic Fentanyl patch that I change every 72 hours. I also take 15 milligrams of Oxycodone every 4 hours for breakthrough pain as needed. I'm taking one milligram of Xanax twice a day. I had a urine test on Friday and my urine was clean. I wear urostomy bags on my legs so my urine goes directly from my kidneys in a tube down to my legs. Every morning I flush the tube from my kidney to the bag with saline solution after I drain the bag which I did 20 minutes before I was urine tested. I have also been on Lasix, a diuretic that was increased to double the amount due to excess swelling for three days before and including the day the urine test was done. Could this be the reason my urine was clean even though I took my meds the way I was supposed to? Please help...

Pharmacies are limited on how much they can stock of any controlled substance each month, which has caused many of them to have to limit their customer base to only patients whose homes and doctors are all located within a certain radius, so they can easily verify the validity of the prescription, if needed. Tuff stuff! My pain management doctor changed me from 40 mg of oxycodone to 15 mg of methadone. I have a trimalleolar fractured ankle that can not have an ankle replacement as I am only age 40. All 4 Orthopedics can't decide on what type of surgery I should have, but they all agree that there's an infection, torn ligaments and tendons, etc. and that I'm going to hurt worse than what I am left with NOW after a car accident injury... I am a vet from the war that has no end in sight, I am not special just a soldier like many of you out there. I was shot in the right shoulder and it came out my chest. I was very lucky. I just moved to ATL from AZ for new job. Ive been on these meds for years. My DOC is well a wear of how pharmacy's are not stocking this med. ## Just moved to Atlc for a new job and cant find a pharmacy to phill my script. Ibex neen taking this med for years. I know this is going to sound a little weird but has anybody noticed with Oxycodone 10mg that your bowel movements are much easier? I have always had constipation when taking my medication and suddenly this month I have had absolutely no issues which is really weird. Another thing I've noticed is my anxiety is really high...
