I wear 125 micrograms duragesic Fentanyl patch that I change every 72 hours. I also take 15 milligrams of Oxycodone every 4 hours for breakthrough pain as needed. I'm taking one milligram of Xanax twice a day. I had a urine test on Friday and my urine was clean. I wear urostomy bags on my legs so my urine goes directly from my kidneys in a tube down to my legs. Every morning I flush the tube from my kidney to the bag with saline solution after I drain the bag which I did 20 minutes before I was urine tested. I have also been on Lasix, a diuretic that was increased to double the amount due to excess swelling for three days before and including the day the urine test was done. Could this be the reason my urine was clean even though I took my meds the way I was supposed to? Please help if you can with this question because I was discharged from my doctor's office today. Unfortunately I take a lot of other medications that keep me alive that I need within 15 days. That's all my meds I have left and I don't think I'll get a doctor within that time. Thank you for your help in advance.

If you flushed the tube, and are taking a diuretic, then yes, that could have caused your urine to be clean, or to have very low levels. Generally, it is best for them to receive a concentrated sample, according to NIH studies, to make sure they get accurate results.
Did they send it out to a lab for further testing? What other medications are you taking?
It seems odd that they wouldn't know this and ask you about it.
Has anyone else experienced such an issue?
