I'm wondering....how many mg of Percocet will come up positive taken over a period of 3 months? (test goes back 90 days) If it's positive, what are possible levels that will come up? I've probably taken approx. 4-5, 5mg pills a week. ## My use was for over 4 months, not just one week btw :( ## I'm specifically looking for information on hair follicle testing. ## It will definitely show up... If you have chronic pain you have to have a pain reliever. I got them one time and after a day of using them with absolutely no results or relief I went back to the pharmacist who of course told me it has the same ingredients as any other oxycodone but that is a lie. My name is Kendra. I am a 25yr old single mother. I have been suffering from chronic back pain from the age of 17yrs old, before that had scoliosis since the age of 8. Basically I started at the wrong chiropractor. He just started a business and trying to make money. In the long run he was supposed to treat me for slight scoliosis but treated for severe. So the end result made my back worse. After the age of 16 my back started to slowly get worse. By 18 I couldn't even walk into the acupuncture (hoping for different result and help). Eventually I learned that I most likely would have to just deal with the pain because nothing was helping. I then had my son at the age of 21. I am not doctor shopping yet it seems that everyone that is has made it very difficult to fill my oxycodone script. I live near jacksonville, fl and am starting to get worried... most of the pharmacies that I have called treat me as if I am doing something wrong by trying to fill my meds ## The problem is, probably, that you are calling them. When it comes to narcotics, theft is a very real problem for pharmacies, now. Thus, when you call, even if they do have them, they will usually tell you that they don't have any in stock or do not carry them. The only way to get a real, accurate answer, is by going into the pharmacy, with your valid prescription in hand. capsule ## There is no medication that I can find that is called Oxyprophen. I am assuming you are referring to a formulation that contains Oxycodone and either Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen? These formulations are narcotic pain relievers and may cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Help, Seeking new Doc in NJ (Middlesex/Monmouth County areas) I have been going to a pain mgmt. doctor who was giving me oxycontin ER 40mg twice a day and 10mg Percocet 4 times a day for breakthrough pain. They have cut my meds in half in the last 2 months, I have always taken meds correctly and never had a dirty UA. My levels were always good. I have bulging and herniated discs and am in a lot of pain. They are cutting everyone down on meds because of over medicating some patient etc.. (and now everyone pays). I somehow spilled coke into my bottle of oxycodone 10 mg. I know dumb right. I didn't spill enough to mess it all up. It still has some form to it. Will they be any good if i try to take it or should i just tell my doctor and look like an ass or do I have to suffer all month? ## That won't cause them to become dangerous, or anything, but some of the medication may have dissolved away, I doubt it will make much of a difference, though. Probably 99% of patients who get pain med scripts truly need them. There is no need to tell us your diagnosis/condition or if you have a handicapped placard/tag. The bottom line is this: YOU HAVE A LEGITIMATE Rx and PHARMACISTS SHOULD HONOR IT. The ones who refuse to fill it simply enjoy saying so. It gives them the POWER and CONTROL they crave. It is not about losing their license since prescriptions can be verified. Also, they are written on special paper. Sadly, compassion and service are NOT some pharmacists' priority. My pharmacist said Watson changed their name. Is this true? ## From what I've seen mentioned, they've been purchased by another pharmaceutical manufacturer, they didn't actually change their name, so to speak. I was let go by my physician, him assuming I was selling my med's. I take 4 to 5 oxycodones a day. Didn't show in my urine or blood work on 2 months of lab work. I take my med's. I am now flagged and my records are assuming I wasn't taking the medicine and the Dr. would not prescribe my pain med's until I could get into another Pain Clinic and has assumed I was not taking my med's.. I have never sweared on anything but I will swear to anyone, I take my med's as prescribed to me. Please give me any info you can. This is my character being ruined and I haven't done anything wrong. I am recovering from the Whipple Procedure for pancreatic cancer performed last April. I have severe and at times chronic pain / nerve damage in the incision area. My Dr started giving me inj's. in my Celius Plexus Right Quadrant, every 3 weeks accompanied by Oxaydo 7.5 mg & Butrans 20 mcg patch. My pain is off the charts & just not quite sure if these meds work. I will be getting my 3rd shot next week - I hope it will be better than the last one. The first inj. Just an FYI - the Walgreens on 436 (Altamonte Springs) finally got oxycodone 30mg in today, after waiting 3+ weeks for them...BUT, as of June 1st they have a new restriction - they now have a 15mile radius, or was it 5mile, where they will no longer fill Rxs if your ID address is not within that radius...I've been going to this pharmacy for 2 1/2 years and today I was refused...this is the ONLY pharmacy I've found that even has it and the Pharmacist, who has assisted me many times in the past, was not budging on this new "rule"...so they are making it more and more difficult to get oxycodone scripts filled...and a customer ahead of me was given a hard time because he didn't have a long-acting, or extended release, medicine to go along with the short-acting...so this ...

Hi everyone I'm a 25 year old male and have been taking 2-3 30 mg Oxycodone pills a day for the last 3 years. I get w/d after 1 full day with no pills but I 100% percent want to be done for good. I was fortunate enough to obtain 3 8mg Suboxone film strips. I know everyone varies but can anyone give any helpful advice to get me off the Oxys with just these 3 Subs? I don't think ill be able to get more from the person and I don't want to pay all the money for doc visits and a script. Please help, I know I'm ready to be done and get back to my old self. my Dr has changed my medication fron norco to percocet, and now my feet and ankles are swelling severely. What is the difference between hydrocodone and oxycodone? ## They are both narcotic analgesics, however, the Oxycodone is stronger than they Hydrocodone. Oxycodone, by itself, doesn't usually cause peripheral edema, however, it could be the Acetaminophen, since it can sometimes cause people to retain fluids and, if that is what is causing it, it would have also happened with the Norco. Have you consulted your doctor? Whenever edema occurs, it is very important to discover what is causing it, since it can be a sign of other serious medical conditions. Is there any way to find out which manufacturer a pharmacy uses? I have been on Camber 7.5mg Oxycontin and they are awful. Pharmacies I've called (Wal-Mart and Rite Aid) said they do not discuss the narcotics they carry over the phone. ## Hello Scrappy, I understand your frustrations with the situation and I empathize. My husband suffers from 2 types of cancer - Non-Hodgkins lymphoma and prostate. He uses Mallinckrodt oxycodone 10 mg tabs for pain control (especially back pain caused from tumors). Through trial and error, he found that the Mallinckrodt product works best for him and produces minimum side effects. He regularly fills his Rx at a hospital associated pharmacy where he sees his oncologist and has testing done.
