I just moved to Orange County California from Florida a couple months ago. In florida I had been seeing a Pain management Dr for the past 5 years where I was recieving 150 Oxycodone 30mg and 60 15mg as well as some other Medications to go with it. Please dont comment and say I am looking for a specific drug and that's drug seeking behavior blah blah blah. I am just looking to find a dr that isnt going to try and tell me those medications are too strong and then have me waste my money and give me tramadol or something... My RX was written for 168. The Pharmacy cut it to 150 without telling me. I lost the 16 pills. Is this legal to do this. ## Are you sure it was written for 168, or is it possible you misread your doctor's handwriting? Prescriptions for controlled substances can be written for no more than 30days and they are usually written according to the maximum number that can be taken each day. Thus, 2 pills a day would be 60 and 3 a day would be 90. 150 tablets is 5 a day, therefore 168 actually doesn't make any sense, because the next possible number would be 6 a day, which is 180 tablets. So, if they weren't sure of the number, due to difficult reading it, or there seemed to be a discrepancy between it and the dosing instructions, they would go by the logical dosing instructions and ...

I take 2 5mg oxycodone tablets 3 times a day for the last two years., sometimes a couple extra over that. I had a disk problem with major pain. My back has been doing much better for about 8 months now, I can actually walk again without my left leg giving out on me. Now my problem is I can't get off these damn things. I had tapered a couple months ago down to nothing and didn't have the awful withdrawal symptoms I have heard about, some discomfort but not terrible. I thought I was done but as life goes another issue popped up and I ended up with a kidney stone, never experienced such pain in my life, so I had to reach for the oxy again, very disappointing. Zydus brand, I was taking endo brand with only side effect of occasional constipation! otherwise the medication was working well for my after neck surgery care chronic pain etc,, then 5 days ago got the brand zydus! Day 1: vertigo nasua tiredness felt so sick & severe migraine! Alvogen's oxycodone product is a very poor product. It is does not work as well as other oxycodone products. The FDA allows the generic makers to vary the medications by 15 to 20% and states that the manufactures do not have to notify the public. This is criminal. I can not believe this allowed to occur in the U.S. Pharmacies that purchase this product are also as guilty. They know the product is subpar but are able to purchase it at a cheaper rate and then sell it at the same or higher price as other generics. My pain from an old broken neck was not helped by Norco 10 so my doc prescribed oxycodone 15 mg 4x daily. It didn't help but I kept it up. After 3 weeks my pain level was much higher than it had ever been and I began having severe deep muscle seizure cramps which got worse and very serious. So my mother has a text book of illnesses and is prescribed oxy 30's. Recently through the past few months her doctor has been cutting down her script almost every month. She started at 8 a day and has been on them for many many years for pain. He then cut her down to HALF do to "new drug laws". Now he is trying to get her in half again to only 2 a day! Keep in mind my mother is bi-polar, has rumitoid arthritis, bladder cancer, etc. Anyways, this month he switch her to one script every two weeks. He then didn't fill her script when it was due cause he went out of town and didn't leave a prescription fill slip at the office.
