There is also a fellow on here who goes by the name of Tom or Tommy. He is a liar and a thief. I was in his town on business and met him and he ended up stealing meds out of my purse when I wasn't looking. I didn't find out til later on. He did tell me he had some fine marijuana plants he had grown and was trying to sell bags of it. So if anyone wants to buy marijuana, he'd be happy to oblige you. Just don't give him an opportunity to steal from you....
Pharmacy's do not like carrying to many narcotics for several reasons and it has nothing to do with DEA.. First off they dont want to get a gun stuck in their face. Second Junkies shoplift and they are taking heavy losses on that. And to be honest they have a markup of 250% on all most all meds. This has been going on for many year. Take my advice as a medical supply warehouse supervisor. Now the DEA has regulations on how narcotics are stored... Basically a Mosler safe is the one most use. There is nothing in the DEA handbook on how much can be held as long as they are in a safe. If you want to know what is going on go to the DEA website and read and go to your state medical board website and your states pharmacy board website and read what is going on in your state. then you will know if what is being told to you is truth or not.
Your only doctor shopping when you go to multiple doctors and fill scripts from multiple doctors with in a 30 day period. If you leave a doctor and notify the doctors of your intent it is not doctor shopping (Doctor shopping or double doctoring refers to the practice of a patient requesting care from multiple physicians, often simultaneously, without making efforts to coordinate care or informing the physicians of the multiple caregivers.)
@Michelle I see Dr. Jaime Guerrero but you have to have a referral to get in, the doctor who referred my (who's awesome btw, he'll give you percs to last till you can get into Dr G) is Rosenburg Reyes, they're both in Louisville, Dr. Reyes five zero two three six eight two five six three, just take your tests results with you if you go and he'll get you set up. Hope this helps someone. BTW, Dr G has already gone through investigation by DEA and passed everything so he won't be disappearing like so many others have, the only bad thing about either of them is you are usually at their office for a minimum of 2 hours but they are such good doctors that its worth the wait, I don't mean good just box they'll help you get meds, but good NYC they both actually care about their patients and really listen to them
@Sbsierr, although I don't like to judge or assume I can only think of a couple of reasons a 22yo would need long term pain meds 1. They were either in some sort of horrific accident that caused a lot of long term damage (but I'd think if that were the case there'd be some type of insurance, car, workmans comp, ect) or possibly they were born with a disease/disability, again you'd think insurance would be involved, Medicare/Medicaid or 2. They either want to get "high" or sell them. I really hope it's not #2, bc that is exactly the behavior that has caused all of the "red tape" and hoops that those with legitimate chronic pain are have to deal with.
take it from me there are NO good or poor pain management in KY. I am sure you have heard of the KASPER Law in KY, if not look it up. I am moving this fall out of KY for this reason.
I live in ky and i have fibro and osteoathritis and the doc i have will not help me with the pain i hurt all the time all day i need a doctor that will help anyone plz help
Jeff, try looking up Dr. Jaime Guerrero, he's in Louisville and has already been through the whole DEA raid thing (i believe it was in 11/2012)and they couldn't find any reason to shut him down, his office is called Advanced Pain Management. He's a kind and caring doctor, will do everything he can to help you, he may not start you on 30's unless you have proof that that's what you have been on but he will prescribe the 15's to start if you don't. He's pretty "by the book" bc of all the new laws that passed here so he will either start you on 4 a day of the 15's or 3 a day if its 30's, but will also write for non narcotic stuff (example, I also get Neurontin, 400 mg and flexaryl 10mg) that along with the pain meds really help. Hope this helps you
Davej23, thanks I appreciate it, it would be nice to have a heads up if I'm going to need to find another doc in a hurry. I do believe they are doing an insurance investigation, that is most likely needed, the $1100 is just the one charge from the "lab" and now there are others charges that have been billed to a "clinic" with the name of one of the workers for even more. I do like having him as my doctor though and don't want to switch. Thanks again
I love my state 26 born and raised im in chronic pain and was just diagnosed w cancer in my left kidney .my names jennifer and im 26 I would be honored if u could suggest any help my pains getting to the point my body cannot tolerate im down to 111 lbs and im really need a dr .. thank u for listening
@kachel23 Thats no problem but all the major health providers have a PM group. it is hard to get into them without a GP referral. Nortons is the one I have dealt with for a while they did my op's I see their neuros ect ect. The primary Dr that you have is obviously likes you and see's that you need more than he can offer. That's a plus to have a GP in your corner. He knows who is good from other patients he referrers over. The bad thing is about all this you have someone who is not a Dr dictating to the PM's how much to write and what to write.. Health and human services is the demon behind all of this.I do not get as much as I used to but I get enough for now.. If I have to cut back well then I have to. It just means I wont do the work program anymore..
I pretty much dismissed my pain doctor. I haven't been kicked out yet and hope to never get kicked out. I will continue to dismissed them as long as they are not taking care of me the way I feel they should. I have been going thru this pain for 12 years come August 23rd this year. I've been thru every therapy, injections, and medications they could give me in which none of them have worked except the oxycodone.
I get up at 6, 630 every morning and I take 90 mg of oxycodone. I go all day without taking anymore until about 8 pm; then I take another 30 to go to sleep on and Im good all day with just that regimen. The doctors wont listen, they give me 5 mg oxycodone tablets and tell me to take one every 8 hours; PLEASE....!! spare me. Those pills are gone in a heartbeat. Hell.....I know what work for me and I feel these fricken doctors should listen to their patients. No one wants to be in pain taking one 5 mg oxycodone every 8 hours. I could see if I was new the pain game; lol but I'm not
I know there are PM in tn but are there any that really care.?.? I finally got my pain under control with roxicodone 30 n MS Contin. I go to another PM n they put me on Lortab 7.5 n MS Contin 15. They even kept me on that for my back surgery. Talk about a nightmare!! My neuro told me to find new PM as soon as possible. I've looked but I'm so afraid I won't get help. She now took me off the Lortab n even tried to take my Gabapentin since my nerve pain is gone. I've took that for my Fibro for 20 yrs. I'm afraid to go back in fear of what else she might take. I've had enough of this pain n I can't afford to keep goin place to place till something helps. I'm not suppose to drive hrs at a time so if anyone knows anyone knows anywhere please help me.
I live in Orlando and have a great PM here. I'm moving to Ormond Beach and want to keep my Doctor in Orlando. Does anyone know if your Doctor and address are in one county in Florida can you fill your opiate script in another county in Florida. I use Walgreens or whatever big chain pharmacy carries them. I know CVS has a prob filling.
Hi i just found this site, i live n the maysville area, use to go to pain trmt ctr n lexington ky every 2 months,my doctor died, n the new doctor is terrible!!!!!! Im going to a pain ctr n crestview hills n they cut me back!!!! Forno reason!!!! N giving me injections they never worked before! Take perc19-325 n fentanyl patch 50.... just not enough, i was n a bad car accident yrs ago then hurt my back 3 yrs ago as well. Can anybody help ty
The kasper law limits how much a Dr. can prescribe. Everyone needs to read the entire law. Also other states laws on the books and new one that are likely to be passed soon before seeing if there is a Dr. there. Your new Dr. may just be a waste of time.
I for 1 can not go through 1 more FORCED withdrawal because of ignorant law makers and people getting pain killers who have no real medical reason for them.
I do not have another withdrawal left in me. I have been through enough because of ignorance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is that a narcotic drug for pain or is it something that helps with the withdrawals? Everyone might be interested in knowing that I just read that the FDA wants to sanction any doctor who perscribes more than 60 narcotic pain pills per month. That's two a day and I passed that point long ago.
Looks like poppy growing time to me Ladies and Gents... Our Marines in Afghanistan are guarding the poppy fields so BIG Government can rake in the illegal drug import dollars... I worked in Central America in the early 80's for Americas cartel, BUSH'S & CLINTON'S import business... Youtube Clinton Chronicles, or Google Tatum Chronicles (Chip Tatum) Drink your fluoride and be good obedient Citizens... Wait until Obama don't care goes into effect... You think it's bad now? ;)
I also suffer severe chronic pain with RSD (not too many know what it is), which is something you never want disease, back surgery and because of walking awkward from the RSD in my leg/foot causing even worse pain and osteoporosis, I just felt the need to reply. Listen up, I worked in medical for years before my crippling injury, and I take 10mg oxycodone (percs) x4 a day. Please read. If your meds lessen your pain and not totally relieve it, be grateful. If YOU TAKE TOO MUCH OR INCREASE YOUR DOSES TO FEEL NO PAIN (which we all desire), you are really messing up. If you are in a really bad car wreck, any severe injury, then you are SOL. nothing will relieve any pain because you take so many meds and your body is used to it, NOTHING is going to help you. Another point is these kind of meds are very hard on your liver. If you develop liver disease you can NO LONGER take pain meds. They will give you severe nausea, vomiting among even worse side effects. With the vomiting the pills are coming out and NO relief. Also, you abuse these NO doc will give you any. Sadly ALL doctors would love to help us, but the government (if they so desire for any reason) can rip away their license to practice. They are terrified of it. Another thing, if they get an attitude with a doc, they can just use this as a quick, doc is done. If chronic pain suffers submit and fight the government, petition, come together to set better guidelines so as to give your family doctors the freedom to intelligently assist in prescribing pain meds, then problem solved. I'm in a pain management and for sure WE ARE BEING ABUSED BY THE GOVERNMENT because we are not getting adequate care. They are there to hand over a script. The guidelines suck! I hope this helps. I'm not yelling at any of you, but rather things to ponder.
