Oxycodone 30mg Pain Clinics (Page 41)
Updatedi have been having trouble getting a good dr who will write oxycodone 30 mg. my back has been broken before and i was going all the way to Florida (a 16 hour drive) just to get my meds. So if anybody knows of any it would be helpful. i live in KY so as long as it is closer that's fine. Thank you.
Sbsierr44- what part of KY are you in?
Does anybody know of a pain doctor in or around eastern wv
Well ok but what state to go to???
In Kentucky, you may not be having any problem. I have all the tests, paperwork, have done different meds, injections, tens unit - everything. They finally found a treatment that works for me and gives me some quaility of life. But now my doctor is closing his practice because he is afraid of the new laws. I'm having a horrible time trying to find a new doctor. They can do all the drug tests they want and get my KASPER all the time. I have nothing to hide but the doctors look at me like I have a big warning sign on me now. I don't want to be an invalid and I'm not just after drugs. I just want to enjoy my grandchildren and go to chruch and the store occassionally but I don't know if it's going to happen. I'm afraid I'm going to go through withdrawals - not because I'm addicted but because I'm dependant on the medication. I desperately need a pain doctor.
Has anyone out there have a experience with Nycanta ER? I am have a lot of GI tract problems, nausea & jitters.
I am in Richmond va visiting my sick mother. I am looking for a dr who takes cash and will prescribe oxycodone 30 mg. I am in severe pain and far from home with no way to get my regular prescription. I have no insurance. Please help
Kentucky is keeping the pain doctors that do only the allowed amount. They require tests and visits that a healthy person doesn't feel like going through. Getting disability was easier than this. The doctors that can stay in business treat you like you're dirt. The legislature said it is never their plan to lose doctors, keep legitimate patients from getting treatment or having patients go through withdrawals. Well, that is what is happening. I've checked the surrounding states and they are all doing the same thing. I'm in pain and I'm stumped. I don't want to be an invalid but at the beginning of the year all the pain meds doctors will be worthless. When a patient has had everything done and medication is the only thing that helps, this is outrageous. Meanwhile, we have people making meth in a culvert. They were recently caught but there are others. Go after them and leave our pain doctors alone.
I have tried Nucynta and was really pleased to try something new that might really help. I felt absolutely awful. I felt worse than any withdrawal I've ever had. I had similar symptoms as you. I've always wondered how it effected other ppl. I had severe nausea and really weird shaking/jitters. How long have you been on it? I tried hard but only lasted a week.
Ladyann, what part of KY are you in, & do you have a good PCP? My PCP is great and will not allow his patients go into WD's, he will provide what he can until he gets you into a PM doctor, he's in Louisville and really cares about his patients.
I'm in central Kentucky. As I said, I was sent to a pill mill that does what they have to do to stay under the radar. He was not going to do anything to help me from the withdrawal from the muscle relaxer but he said they would be bad. I've been on this medication for about 12 years. I've been told the other doctor I'm referred to will wean me off and not just take it away. I hate to sound like a wimp but I dread the pain I'm going to be living with but I'm scared of withdrawals. A few years ago, I was put on Oxycontin for two months and I felt like a zombie. It didn't help and the doctor said the dose wasn't strong enough. Any stronger and I would have been comatose. I remember the withdrawal from that after only two months so I guess that is why I'm so terrified of withdrawals after 12 years. I've tried everything they want to do and I know it won't work but I don't have much choice. At least if they doing the weaning off, that should make that part easier.
Is that a narcotic drug for pain or is it something that helps with the withdrawals? Everyone might be interested in knowing that I just read that the FDA wants to sanction any doctor who perscribes more than 60 narcotic pain pills per month. That's two a day and I passed that point long ago.
Nucynta is a synthetic opioid that is for chronic pain.
I don't want to be rude, but what you said about the FDA and it "sanctioning" a doc for more than 60 narcotic pills is incorrect. The FDA really only sanctions drug companies not specific doctors. Also, they do not have the ability to restrict physicians from giving scripts out, even if the dosing was wrong. Maybe you read something that had their information wrong. There is no way for a cap of 60 "narcotic" pills, that doesn't make any sense.
Thanks for the information about the medication. The FDA is working with other federal officials to pass these laws. They wouldn't be for short term use but they would be for long term. I called my legislator and was told that the doctors are scared now for no reason. The just have to document, examine the patient every three months and do a yearly drug test. My doctor did random drug tests which was more than required but he was still scared and closing his clinic. The new laws take effect in 2014 (some start in November of 2013) that they can't give any refills. The states are under a lot of pressure from the federal government and nearly all (at least all around us) have passed the laws - not the two a day - yet. A lot of people went to Washington to testify that there were a lot of deaths caused by the overdose of perscription pain pills. If we, legitimate pain patients felt up to it, maybe we should do the same. I personally, have never heard of a single person overdosing on a perscription pain pill. We take them because we need them. I always put the amount I'm allowed to have per day in a separate bottle (which I get from my drug store) because when you're in pain, it is possible to forget if you have taken your medication or not. Sometimes the pain is so bad that the medication doesn't work as it does at other times. My kids and my grandson told me they knew where to get illegal drugs - which they never did - at highschool anytime. All the kids did. The illegal drugs are plentiful and meth is everywhere. But they always pick on the weakest of the jungle. They are going after legitimate pain doctors instead of all these pill pushers. Two states have made pot legal but we can't get medication to have some quality of life by helping with our pain. Before I was disabled I worked for the government - both state and federal. It's a good way to get bitter and disillusioned with government really fast when you do that.
Ladyann, I do not know who you talked to in other states. But they gave you the wrong
info. I have found help in surrounding states. I know it is difficult to do in withdrawal but well worth it. I posted a earlier comment how to go about it.
I have been saying that the TRUE chronic, pain pts. need to get together and go to KY state capital. The dummies think the kasper law is working. They are looking at the drop in prescribed scheduled 2 drugs & hydrocodone filled. Which is lower only because of people like us are suffering.
Would love to know those states. Several sites say they do this now but I've done a search on the states around us and their official site's are full of things like West Virginia passes most aggressive pain management clinic laws............ It says basically the same about TN, IN, OH and Virginia. Most don't go effect until 2014. If there is something out there to help me have a life, I would love to know about it and would very much like to be wrong on this. I would LOVE to be wrong on this. I would be thrilled to find a doctor who can just give me some quaility of life. Please share where I can find this. If you can find the laws on the WEB it would be helpful. You have to specifically put in 2014 because we're almost out of this year and the new laws are going to take effect. I'm having trouble getting Indiana's page to download. I don't take offense at being proven wrong. I'm just going by what the legislative pages say. I just want a life.

who is ur PCP in L-ville
I don't have a PCP in Louisville. Mine is closer to Frankfort. I have to drive a little to find a Pain Med doctor no matter where I go. There is one in Frankfort but he looked at my chart two years ago and said he would not perscribe that and walked out of the room. Being a doctor I thought he was supposed to try to help me someway but that was all he did - no exam or anything. I've since heard that he is known for being mean; even to his staff. The problem is that we now have a few (very few) who will still prescribe medication and that is a very minimum amount of medication. The rest want to do intervention. I've had several like that. They give the shots and when they don't work, they dismiss you leaving you with no options.
