I was on oxybutynin for more than 10 years it no longer helped with the urinary problem because I did have a bladder suspension but I did continue to take it because it helped with my hot flashes and profuse sweating but about a year ago I stopped because I felt that I was admit for too long is that a possibility I would like to go back on it so I could stop sweating so much. ## Well, that would ultimately be up to your doctor, if they think it is safe for you to take, again. You'd likely experience the side effects, again, since you've been off of it for awhile and the FDA lists those as possibly including nausea, dizziness, urinary retention and blurred vision. Do you know what's causing the hot flashes and sweating? Have you tried anything else to treat these issues?

I have experienced some severe sweating, from my head to my legs...My cuticles on my fingers are getting infected from them drying out...And I peed in my bed last night...I wear Pee Pads & am tired of smelling like a wet diaper all the time ....Are these problems due to me going off of the Oxybutinin? ## I take oxybutynin to stop me sweating and when I don't take it I look like I have done a work out at the gym, so Yer if you stop taking it your body goes back to how it was before. ## I have been back on Oxybutinin for well more than a month. How long does it take a body to adapt to a new med? I'm not happy. Thank you insurance companies. ## It may take 4 to 5 weeks for things to settle down and the side effects to go away. Others that are listed by FDA include dizziness, headache, urinary retention and blurred vision. Is there anything else I can help with?

I first started on Enablex with worked really well. Cost went up and Dr put me on Oxybutynin 2 times a day. He recently changed me to the Extended Release and instructions state to used 1 at night. Well, it works fine until late afternoon and then I start having issues. If I could take in the morning it should last me all day but do not know if there is a reason that it has to be taken just a night. ## Some doctors recommend taking it at night, due to the possible side effects it can cause, which may include dizziness, drowsiness and blurry vision, as listed by the FDA. That way when they hit their peak, you're basically sleeping through them. However, it should be fine to take it in the morning, but it would be best to double check with your doctor to be sure. Is there anything els...

However, I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize this tablet? ## A33 is Oxybutynin 15 mg extended release. ## Dove is right, if it's round and white as you described with A over 33 then it is Oxybutynin 15mg. I take meds for High blood pressure, high colostral, Oxybutynin 5 mg daily, and Omeprazol 20 mg, when would you suggest I take this Ciclobenzaprina. I usually have pain in my bones daily and have arthities in my hands. Thank you . Cece ## Hello, Cece! How are you? There is a possible interaction between the Cyclobenzaprine and the Oxybutynin, since they do some of the same things, so they shouldn't be taken together, unless your doctor has specifically told you to do so. Additionally the Cyclobenzaprine is a muscle relaxant, not an analgesic, so it will not help with bone pain or arthritis. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. It would be best to consult your doctor for something that would be safe and effective for ...

I've had some constant urination problem for 3 years now. It has gotten worse recently, like in the last 3 months. Sometimes I spend more time on toilet then outside. In May 2015, I peed for 2 days and it stopped. Turns out I had strep throat and took antibiotics, but the peeing stopped before that. The problem was gone until July 11 2015. I peed a lot and could not stop for days. I went to urgent care and the doctor told me to try oxybutnin chloride. It seemed to work on and off, but recently it's given me some nausea, slight stomach pains, weight loss cause of pains, tiredness, and fuzzy head. I was suppose to only take pills 2 times a day, but I'm reducing it to 1 before sleep because these effects are making me depressed. I have an appointment for urology in 2 weeks! Wha...

I would like to know how long it takes to work properly I have taken it for 2 weeks. ## Hello, Rails! How are you? You should see a gradual improvement in the first few weeks, but it may take 4 to 6 weeks to reach its full level of efficacy in your body. Hello. I have high blood pressure, and take medication for this. I also have urinary incontinence, and have been taking Oxybutynin for a few months, with good results. My question is, how does Oxybutynin affect blood pressure? Would my doctor prescribe it if it was detrimental to my high blood pressure condition? ## Hello, Cynda! How are you? As listed by the FDA, it has been known to cause high blood pressure in some people that take it, but not everyone experiences all the given side effects of a medication. If your blood pressure is under control, then your doctor may have thought it was worth trying to see how it would affect you. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, blurred vision and dry mouth. How is your blood pressure doing, while taking it? Did you speak ...

I would like to know is oxybutnin like oxcodone? ## Is oxybutynin like oxcodone I would like to know ## Hello, Sheila! How are you? No, they are not, at all, alike. The FDA classifies Oxycodone as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, Oxybutynin is an anticholinergic that's used to treat bladder issues, such as urinary innocence or frequent urination. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and blurry vision. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been on oxybutinin 5 mg for three months I already suffer from trigeminal neuralgia . I take many medications for that. I am suffering from dry eyes, dry mouth, lack of appetite and losing weight and can't afford to, losing sleep and severe headaches that are exaerbating the neuralgia. My question is how does one get off of the drug ? I should mention I had severe OAB and took two two pills a day and could go as many as forty to fifty times a day . I will probaly go back to otc patch. I see the doctor in May . ## Those are all typical side effects for Oxybutynin, as listed by the FDA. You may also experience nausea and blurry vision. I have a reduced colon due to cancer and also have a Jpouch. I started on Oxubutynin and the first day saw the pill in my stool. Again on the second day also. It is only staying in my body for 5-6 hours. Is that enough time for it to work? ## Hi Mildred, According to medsafe.govt, Oxybutynin is reportedly eliminated from the plasma with a less than 2 hour half-life; and it's bioavailability is said to be about 6%. From my understanding, this means that not only does it not have much time to work in your body once you take it, but also not very much of it is actually being absorbed either. This, in conjunction with whatever binders/fillers are being added to the tablet would probably be a valid reason for what you're experiencing. I've actually heard about this sort of thing ...
