Hello. I have high blood pressure, and take medication for this. I also have urinary incontinence, and have been taking Oxybutynin for a few months, with good results. My question is, how does Oxybutynin affect blood pressure? Would my doctor prescribe it if it was detrimental to my high blood pressure condition?

As listed by the FDA, it has been known to cause high blood pressure in some people that take it, but not everyone experiences all the given side effects of a medication. If your blood pressure is under control, then your doctor may have thought it was worth trying to see how it would affect you.
Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, blurred vision and dry mouth.
How is your blood pressure doing, while taking it? Did you speak with your doctor about your concerns?
