Oxybutnin 5mg Tablet

I've had some constant urination problem for 3 years now. It has gotten worse recently, like in the last 3 months. Sometimes I spend more time on toilet then outside. In May 2015, I peed for 2 days and it stopped. Turns out I had strep throat and took antibiotics, but the peeing stopped before that. The problem was gone until July 11 2015. I peed a lot and could not stop for days. I went to urgent care and the doctor told me to try oxybutnin chloride. It seemed to work on and off, but recently it's given me some nausea, slight stomach pains, weight loss cause of pains, tiredness, and fuzzy head. I was suppose to only take pills 2 times a day, but I'm reducing it to 1 before sleep because these effects are making me depressed. I have an appointment for urology in 2 weeks! What can I do before then?!

Hello, Maggie! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having.

Those can be normal side effects of Oxybutynin, as listed by the FDA, you may also experience confusion and blurred vision.

However, there really isn't a lot you can do, until you see the urologist.

Do you watch your fluid intake? Are you on any other medications?

I'm drinking as much water as I'm peeing and today I am feeling a lot better. I was able to eat a half of bowl of rice and veggies, but went through some tough diarrheal in the morning so had to take some generic anti dia meds for that. Some slight bladder discomfort, but not as bad.
