what do the generic oxcodone40mg look like ## Since it is a generic, it is manufactured by many companies, therefore they can all look different and have different markings and there are far too many to list them all. If you are asking about Oxycontin, there are no generics for it, all of those will have the marking OP 40. There have also been several generics of the time released formulation that have been discontinued in an attenpt to prevent abuse and diversion by limiting the manufacturing. Some of those markings include: G 163 ABG 40 and M 595 Do any of these match the tablet in question? ## My doctor gives me oxycodone with no tylonal in it and it does not seem to help the pain as much. My doctor told me to start taking oxcodone with out tyonal because my liver can only handle so ...

The new formulated oxycontin that has op takes a long time to work since taking this new formulated oxycontin I developed staph (staff) infection. I do not think that it is fair for the people like me that don't snort them or inject them intervenously that they were changed. It's also very hard to swallow them. In the news it came out that a person that was prescribed the new formulated oxycontin had to go to the emergency room because the medicine got stuck in his throat. It is not fair that they were changed expecially because alot of people don't abuse them and actually need them for severe pain. I went to the emergency room with the staph infection and ofcourse I was told that it had nothing to do with the new formulated op but I have heard from different people that alo...

the old oxycotin worked great for my 6 herniaed dics but the new OP oxycotin comes no were as near the releif and a shorter pain releaf. I was on 3 80mg oc (now OP) does the liquid (or did they redo the liquid too) still act as the old OC made by perdue thank you ## Yes, we have had may complaints about the new Oxycontin formulation not working as well as the old one and that it can cause unusual side effects. I encourage everyone that has had problems with it to report it to both the FDA and Purdue, so they are aware of the issue, you can do so at the following numbers: Purdue Pharma number for drug safety/medication issues: 888.726.7535 FDA MedWatch number: 800-332-1088 And as to the liquid, no those formulations have not been changed, but they are not able to be time released, so it ...

round white one side says 5599 and the other side says dan one line across the middle of one side only ## Okay, first, there is no generic for Oxycontin, Purdue has been fighting that with various lawsuits for years now and the one company they did license it to let their contract expire and ceased production. So, they are the only company that makes the time released formulation of Oxycodone. Their original product was the Oxycontin OC, which has been discontinued and replaced with the new Oxycontin OP. As to the pill you are asking about, DAN DAN 5599, this is not a narcotic of any type. This tablet contains 100mgs of Trazodone, the active ingredient in Desyrel, this is an antidepressant. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, weight gain and headache. Read more: Are the...

Oxycontin 80mg. OP, green & round shaped ## I got my meds this month and the label says 80mg oxycontin and the pill is the same color but the other side of the pill has OP stamped on it and I didn't recieve any warning labels on it or paper work saying it was changed whats going on with this med and why ## It is the same medication, just a new marking and it has been specially made to help prevent abuse. Oxycontin OP cannot be crush, chewed or broken down. If someone tries, it basically turns into a gummy goo, that is supposed to only dissolve in stomach acid and retain its time released properties. It is also made by the same company, Purdue and has replaced the regular that had the OC marking. Side effects remain the same: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Do you ha...

I want to know if they still make the pain medication Oxycontin in the 80mg dosage? ## I was wondering if they still make the pain medication Oxycontin in 80mg dosage? ## Yes, Purdue Pharma still manufactures Oxycontin in this dosage. I have, however, heard that many pharmacies do not keep it in stock, due to the risk of theft. It is also only available in their new formulation, with the OP marking on the tablets, rather than the original OC. This new product has been specially made to help prevent abuse. It is supposed to have the same side effects as the original, which may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Learn more: Are there any other questions or comments?

I have white pill no markings at all.bottle says 10 mg oxycontin.anybody ever seen it? can not find anything on this on the internet. ## Where did you get these? If there are no markings, it is not a legal, U.S. prescription medication, of any type They are all required, by federal law, to have markings to enable their identification. However, there is a chance that it could be a foreign medication, but without any markings, there is really no way to verify that.

cannot find 80mg oxycontins. The new ones get me sick.(OP)s Do you have the generic available? ## First, this is an information only website, we do no manufacture, now sell anything. And second there is no generic of Oxycontin available on the market, any longer. All Oxycontin tablets that are on the market are manufactured by Purdue, using the same process and fomulation, which is why they also have the same markings. Even the ones provided by Ethex, if you were to find them at a pharmacy, are manufactured by Purdue and have the same markings, they are just a licensed distributor for Purdue. As long as they still had a supply of the original Oxycontin with the OC marking, they were allowed to continue to sell them, however, once they ran out, they also had no choice, but to distribute t...

Got my script filled a few days and didn't notice til today that they're OPs. I've also been sick for the past few days - Do OPs make anyone else sick? Lightheaded, dizzy, sleepy, nauseous, flu-like, can't function. Have taken OCs for years and never had these problems. ## Yes, there have been many complaints that they are not as effective and that they cause odd side effects. I am sorry to read that you are having a problem. This is the newly formulated version of OxyContin that's time released no matter what (coating or none). It is definitely abuse-proof and cannot be snorted or injected intravenously. ## That is correct, this is a 20mg Oxycontin OP tablet, however, I wouldn't describe it as abuse proof, because there are always people that will figure out a way to abuse them. Purdue has just tried to make it a bit harder for them to do so. It is a narcotic, so it may cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and dizziness. i have been taking pain pills since 1995. i live in tampa but work in nevada so i go btw two drs when im home or working. Well, i guess they are out of the blues here in nevada or the pharm messed up but ive been getting 3 generic oxys a day, which work GREAT for me, i was overtaking the roxies these actually i can take every 8 hours w great results. well, stupid old me decided to be honest and tell this old man dr in nevada about the error. now he says i can only take them twice a day, which results in me feeling like s**t 8 hours a day. my question is are ppl typically / ever / commonly given 3 oxys a day, meaning every 8 hours? this man and i are about to battle it out, because i refuse to live in pain and detoxes when there's no need, and i could have said nothing and was honest...

where can i get them i need my perscription filled now ## The tablets provded by Ethex are not actually generics, they are simply a licensed distributor for Purdue Pharma, so the pills you would get are the same as what you would get for the name brand Oxycontin. They are the new formulation and will also have the OP marking on them. There are no generic manufacturers of Oxycontin, due to the risk of diversion, if there were more on the market. If you are having a problem with the new Oxycontin formulation, I suggest you report it to both Purdue and the FDA at the following numbers: Purdue Pharma number for drug safety/medication issues: 888.726.7535 FDA MedWatch number: 800-332-1088 Are there any comments or questions? ## does anyone know if ethex also distributes the 30mg oxycontin? o...

I've noticed many ppl believe that MS CONTIN is connected to OXICONTIN ! FYI, MS CONTIN IS MORPHINE (in generic form ) ! I figured I let u know this LIL tid bit of info, so that it may help at least a few ppl ! Hope this is helpful 2 u ! MAY UR PAIN BE MINIMAL ! ## Thanks for the helpful post! That is correct, there are two different narcotic medications. The Oxycontin contains a time released formulation of Oxycodone and the MS Contin contains a time released formulation of Morphine. The Contin is just used to denote that they are time released. Since they are both narcotics, they share a similar side effect profile, which can include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more: Are there any questions or comments?

what the hell is this drug, is it a replacement for Oxycontin? ## Nucynta contains the active ingredient Tapentadol, it is a centrally acting analgesic, it has both opiod and non-opiod activities. It does work well to replace Oxycodone for some people, but like any medication, it doesn't work for everyone that tries it. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and dizziness. Read more: Are there any questions or comments?
