That is correct, there are two different narcotic medications.
The Oxycontin contains a time released formulation of Oxycodone and the MS Contin contains a time released formulation of Morphine.
The Contin is just used to denote that they are time released.
Since they are both narcotics, they share a similar side effect profile, which can include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
