I wake up in severe pain and go to bed in pain. the new pills do nothing but make me violently sick. They take forever to work. Why are the innocent people being punished for what someone else did. I have been on every pain pill imagineable. the only one that work was the OC's. My doctor put me on oxycodone 15mg. Now I get to contend with extreme constipation, burps that smell like someone deficated in my mouth. Bloating, water retention and vomiting. Just like the new op's . Why even have this medication on the market. It is good for nothing. I lost so much respect for Purdu. Your company should just fold. ## We have had many posts from people that are having problems with the new Oxyco...

I have had surgury to my cervical spine and am putting off surgery to my lumbar spine as long as I can. When I was 40 I was told i had the spine of a 90 year old and I am now 62. I am in constant pain and I am agressively doing what I can to stay mobile at all. I was on 30 MG MS Contin 3 times a day with Oxycodone for break thru pain but I built up a tolerance and was switched to 20 MG Oxycontin only twice a day and I am miserable. I am still in cons...
Need to find a pain doc that write roxycoden, I've tried alot of other pain meds and.roxys are the only way i.get pain releaf ## If you truly have a diagnosed condition, that can be assessed by CT scans, MRI's, lab findings, or other devices such as ultrasound, then you probably do need a Schedule Two narcotic. In receiving a Schedule two, the mindset now is that you will probably be on them for an extended period of your life. In the past, in order to make patients comfortable, doctors were prescribing medications like OxyContin, Roxicodone, Duragesic Patches, etc. for pain alleviation. If you are having sporadic or afflictions that cannot be measured scientifically, then the chances of getting a CII are limited. Even hydrocodone CIII, is coming under scrutiny. Now, trust me, i...
Give up. OxyContin will never be in stock in Florida because of the over abundance of illegal "pain clinics" prescriptions which allowed any one from anywhere to come to Fl and purchase hundreds of pills at a time. I have lobbied the Fl. Legislature quite a few times because I am also a legitimate user who has been suffering since 2011 without them. Someone on this site mentioned that the makers of oxy are reconfiguring it so that if exposed to air (in other words crushed) it would be useless. Which is true because they now carry "new" oxy in Canada, but when I ask pharmacists here, they claim they have never heard of this.
UpdatedI have been on 80mg oxycontin 1, 2x day and Percocet 10mg 3, x day For eight years. To make a long story short I have a very bad spine. So today I go to my P.M Dr. and take a drug test, The test came back showing no meds in my urine. How is this possible? I take my meds responsibly always have, so my Dr. said he cannot write me any prescriptions until he gets the results back from the lab, in 5 to 7 days. I need my meds in two days. How CAN THIS HAPPEN ??????
UpdatedMy oxycontin 40 mg. doesn't work very well anymore and $700.00 a month is too much! ## Hello, Maemae! How are you? Yes, it is also a narcotic, so it's a controlled substance that also requires a prescription. However, it is very habit forming and should be a last resort choice, not your first, if your current medication isn't working. Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? You might just need a dosage adjustment. ## Hi Verwon, thank you for your response. My doctor is my Fibromyalgia Specialist and she made the comment that if I am still feeling pain after "that much medication" then it obviously isn't working and she didn't feel comfortable with increasing the dosage. I have an appointment with a Pain Specialist the middle of February so I hope he wi...

I have failed back surgery syndrome with screws and plates in my spine. Operation 1995, worked until this past year. I take oxycontin and oxycodone daily which works well for me. I was charged 750.00 for my Oxycontin last week. I can not afford this. any help would be appreciated. My Oxycodone will be due next week.
What pharmacy has oycontin 80 mg extended release in san jose california In stock . I have called at least 30 and they all tell me no they dont have them In stock ## Often a pharmacy won't give a correct answer to that question over the phone, due to robberies. I know gas is expensive, but going into the pharmacy yourself, may be the only way you will be able to find it. You can ask the pharmacist at your regular store if they would please call and see if another store has it. Although the pharmacist is under no obligation to do this, you'll never know until you ask.

UpdatedMy family dr died the day before my appt. I have been going to him for 10 years and he had managed my pain with oxycontin and percocet. It seems a lot has changed in 10 years trying to find a dr and it seems that pain clinics that want to run you through mill with expensive unecesary tests are the only options. If anyone knows of a dr who is realistic and understand chronic pain in the Southern indiana or Louisville ky area any reccomendations would be appreciated. Thanks ## I'm sorry, but due to the new regulations that were put in place this year, a PCP is not going to be able to prescribe such medications for you. Anyone that requires them on a long-term ongoing basis will have to see a pain management specialist. There's just no longer any way around it and that means you...
I have figured out it is a generic OxyContin I have chronic nerve pain caused from a bulging disk I am wanting to work until I see a surgeon in a couple of weeks and taking this pill I can handle it! My question is how often can I take this and will my disk problem get worse if I continue to stand and do light work? I really want to work as long as I can ## Hello, Jill! How are you doing? Sorry about the pain you've been suffering. Oxycontin is usually only taken every 12 hours, since it is a time released formulation of Oxycodone, which is a very potent narcotic. Learn more Oxycontin details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, you shoul...
can i split one in half or quarter ## No, it is not safe to cut and divide these tablets. This is a 30mg Oxycontin tablet, which contains the narcotic Oxycodone in a time released formulation. Cutting or breaking the tablet could result in your getting too much of the medication, at once, which could result in overdose. The new formulation is supposed to help prevent this, but the danger is always there. If you need a lower dosage, you should speak to your doctor about prescribing it in a lower dose or different formulation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## It is only safe to cut an oxycontin (op) inhalf if it is a 20mg or less cause cause the most a person should intake of instance release is 10mg unless said different from.doctor... due to case of overdose.. OP are not inten...
i am a charlotte, nc native. I've had a fusion and spinal stenosis surgeries on my back. Also have stenosis in my upper back which is inoperable because it lies on top of my lungs therefore doctor left it without continuing care. After these operations i was doing ok but having to pull wire under houses as an electrician and lift heavy wood after 1 huge piece for our wood stove put me in the bed for 6 years. I cannot sleep but my primary care doc wont prescribe anything but muscle relaxers. I have severe nerve damage but the worst part is my spine punches thru my stomach when i go to a bathroom. I feel some heavy pain meds would allow me to get this pain knocked down to where i can get the rest i need and heal what i believe is a 2nd degree tear in my low back. If you know a doctor ...
I am currently taking 40mg oxycontin 3 tds for failed spinal fusion. Have been on same dose for 5 or so years but now they dont help much so I am considering changing to patches. Will I have to come crashing down if I change or will the fentonyl stop the crash during change over?It is a daunting thought to come down as I did trying jernista and couldnt cope with pain also. Any feedback greatly appreciated. ## Sorry about the pain you're in! The Fentanyl should prevent any withdrawal effects, because it is actually stronger than the Oxycodone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Fentanyl details here. Are there any other questions or concerns?
I just got a green APO OCD 80 off the street and it looks real but the printings on either side don't match up? Is that a way of telling its fake? I know some fake ones were floating around that were green all the way threw but the one I have isn't... please help! A friend of mine had got one that was white all the way threw and when she did it she blacked out a whole day and doesn't remember anything so I'm a little skeptical
UpdatedI suffer from sickle cell anemia an have chronic pain I take 80mg oxycontin but ever since new ones came out they don't last as long as old ones do it's not fair that people like me and others that suffer from chronic pain have to get short end of the stick. I think you should make old formula available for people with our pain somehow and those without chronic pain take new ones. Sincerely John H Franklin ## Thanks for your post, John and I am very sorry to read of what you are going through, however, this site does not manufacture, nor sell any medications. this is an information only website. The proper places to report your problem to would be the FDA and Purdue Pharma, that company that manufactures Oxycontin. You can read them at the following numbers: Purdue Pharma number...
NEW FORMULATION IS ROTTING MY TEETH AS WELL AS FIVE OTHERS ALSO TAKING THE NEW OP VERSION OF THE OLD OC VERSION AND I'M LOOKING FOR ANY SIGN OF A CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS AGAINST PURDUE AS I WASN'T WARNED OF THIS SIDE EFFECT AND I AM IN TERRIBLE PAIN FROM MY ROTTING TEETH. IN THREE YEARS MY TEETH WENT FROM PERFECT TO SOMETHING PAINFUL AND SO EMBARRASSING FOR ME THAT I TRY NOT TO SMILE OR TO SHOW MY TEETH AT ALL. I'VE EVEN HEARD THAT SOME NOT NICE PEOPLE I KNOW HAVE A CRUEL NICKMAME BASED ON MY AWFUL TEETH. I FEEL I'M OWED AT LEAST TO HAVE MY TEETH FIXED NOT JUST FOR VANITY BUT TO STOP THE PAINFUL ABCESSES AND THE NEED TO CONSTANTLY TAKE ANTIBIOTICS TO HEAL THEM. IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFO PLEASE POST WHAT U KNOW.
