Accidently took 2 10mg oxycontin within 12 hrs. Is that a problem? I have been taking them for 3 days, weigh 275lbs. ## Hello, Johnny! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? That's not really a dangerously high dose, but a lot of it depends on you and whether or not you're opiate tolerant. You may experience more severe side effects than usual, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness and drowsiness. This medication also carries the risk of being habit forming. In the future, any time you take a double dose of a medication, it's always best to check with your doctor, poison control, or your nearest ER to be safe.

Hi. I need to know if I have to take a urine test on Monday at my pain clinic will the urine show what narcotics I'm taking? For ex. if I'm suppose to be taking 160 mg of oxycontin 2 a day will it now if Iv'e been taking 100 mg of methadone a day instead? Thank you ## YES they will 100% be able to tell that you are taking methadone! The signatures show up different on urine tests. So unless you are supposed to be taking methadone along with your other medication you are more then likely going to be cut off your oxy script. If you cut in half a new oxycontin OP no matter the doses (10, 20, 30, 40 etc.) does it retain the same time release quality? I am dropping down and want to know if 2.5 is just that, a time released 2.5? A drop from 3 mgs will help with my goal to get to zero, asap. I don't want a sudden flood of oxy hitting my system. Can I take 60 mg morphine sulf ER 4 hrs after taking 30 OxyContin ER? I've never taken morphine, been on oxy's long time, but dr just took me of oxy &'put me on morphine. So I was taking 30 mg OxyContin ER 3x day. He switched me to morphine sulf 60 mg 2x day. I told him myths my pain has increased tremendously & I needed increase. He decided switch. It seemed like it will be lower dose pain meds, agree? ## To be equivalent to the daily amount of Oxycodone you were taking, you'd need 135mgs of Morphine, Oxycodone is one and a half times stronger than Morphine. As to when to take it, you should likely take the first dose of it, when you'd normally take your next dose of Oxycodone, but it would be best to double check with your doctor or pharmacist to be sure. Oxycotton is a synthetic form of heroin that is highly addictive and can cause severe side effects. I got perscribed Oxycotton 80mg because of a car wreck. I took them as perscribed until I got used to them (addicted). I then took more then my normal amount to get high. They took me off 3 months later, and I began withdrawing. I got in contact with local druggys and bought 120mg of oxcotton. I stopped using, and had to go into the hospital 5 hours later because of heart failure due to the drug. I am now sober for 5 years and I am relieved I decided to stop. Anyone out there who is taking Oxycotton to get high, put the pills back in the bottle and listen to what i'm saying. Round blue pill scored on one side and 422 on the other side ## Hi Judith, Unfortunately I haven't located any specific details on an Oxycontin marked with 442, but I think it's possible that you may have gotten the imprint backwards. From what I could gather, a round blue pill that is scored on one side and has 224 on the other is identified as Oxycodone 30mgs with a National Drug Code of 57664-0224. For additional verification, the tablet itself is approximately 8mm in size. my doctor is going to do a UA to see if I am taking my oxycontin as prescribed. How long after taking a 30mg oxycontin will it show in my UA? ## I am not certain of the exact time frame for this and what you may actually run into, if you haven't been taking them as prescribed is not having the right levels in your body, if it is detected. Generally, when you are prescribed a certain dosage to be taken at certain intervals, they will expect the amount of it in your urine to fall within a certain range and anything outside of that range can alert them to a problem. My tolerance is of course increasing to this prescription and I can not get a new stronger does from my Doctor as this med facility has strong rules against it. So since this does wears off after 6 - 8 hours can't I basically just increase to 3X/day by taking it every 8 hours instead? Here's a strange twist to my story: My Dr. said no to an increase in dosage and referred me to an outside pain specialist for my pain meds BUT! I also noticed that for the last two months my monthly prescription labeled for 60 tabs actually has about a weeks worth of extra oxy's. I know I'm not missing any doses. What is the color? ## OXYCODONE 60 MG IS RED. OXY 80 MG IS GREEN. PERCOCET 15 = YELLOW, AND XANAX 1.0 IS PURPLE FOOTBALL SHAPED. I take 4 10 milligram percocet a day and 3 15 milligrams of oxy cotton a day how can I show up positive for cocaine in my urine test and positive for methadone ## I am 100 percent positive I do not do cocaine. I need a new pm doc anywhere in Louisiana or nearby state asap. I have med rec;s and legit pain but my doc got n2 trouble and cannot prescribe my meds any longer. ive been on oxy's for years and cant find a doc who will take my case. ## The first question I always find myself asking people in your situation is... Greetings, I am a 57 year old female patient who is currently on 160 mg of oxycontin per day. I have SEVERE osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia, and I have had three a surgeries sine 2004--all bone related. I M currently staving off a double knee replacement and lower back surgery for severe stenosis. There are days I can barely walk. Hi.. Can anyone help me with what to do with being short on my pain meds? I am a legit pt. With severe back problems legs knees from a severe accident and 2 prior. The meds don't seem to be working as good. Oxycontin 80 mg x2 + oxycodone 30 mg. x2 and I want to ask her if we can go to 4 30 mg's a day, but this past year we have been trying to adjust my meds. Also she has mentioned a new pain dr. in town a few times but I have no way to get to pain med Stat and I have been through that x3. Oxycodone is the active ingredient in Oxycontin in a time released formulation, so which of those is stronger depends on the dosage, however, in theory the Oxycontin should be stronger, because the lowest dose of it available is 10mgs. The 30mg Hysingla ER is equivalent to 20mgs of Oxycodone, so of the three you've listed, this is the highest dose. i live in canada and these new oxys just came out and is a yellow oval pill that has APO on one side aand ocd 40 on the other side and it is the new oxy pills. anyone heard or seen them yet? ## I've been getting the new generic oxys for almost 2 months now!
