How many milligrams is the orange oxycontin with the black on it that says OC on the front in black? ## That doesn't match the description of Purdue's Oxycontin tablets, there are none with the OC on it in black. Additionally, the original ones with the OC on them are no longer being manufactured, but when they were the OC was pressed into the tablet, not printed on them. I just filled my prescription for OxyContin and much to my surprise got the old formula. I went online to confirm and sure enough it is the old formula with "OC" on one side and the number n the other. Is Pharma going back to the old formula or was this just a "one off" circumstance? ## No, they aren't returning to manufacturing the old formula, but if a place still has some of it in stock, they are still allowed to dispense them. The doctor at the pain clinic that I have just started going to has given me 15mg of OxyContin 2x per day with 10mg of oxycodone 3x per day. I had been taking at least 6 10mg of oxycodone a day from my neurologist. I have ran out of the oxycodone and the OxyContin doesn't seem to help me. How does the OxyContin work? I've been in Pain management for more than 8 yrs. Does anyone have the problem of after about 10 years Oxycontin doesn't really work anymore? My son has been on 40's for that long after a severe car accident. He broke his back and neck, but they just don't really take the pain away anymore, please help if possibile. Is there something else that would work better? The generics were removed from the market, several years ago, due to the extremely high rates of theft and diversion that take place with this medication. If there is only one company making it, Purdue Pharma, then it is far easier to keep track of the supply and where it ends up. I took my 15mg am dose at 7:30am supposed to wait 12 hrs for 15mg pm dose not thinking I forgot I took am dose & took another 15mg at 11:30am 4 hours apart not the 12 hours What do I need to do? Hi, I've been on 30mg of oxycodone a day_-20 mg on waking and 2 sep. doses 5 mg through day. I have a severe neuropathic/nerve pain and an upregulated central nervous system which includes akathisia. The oxycodone had been a life saver. It also stopped the terrible depression and terror I had been feeling since a bad medication reaction brought on this whole syndrome. Will oxymorphone be detected in a urine test if you are prescribed oxycontin and hydrocodone? ## Yes it will depending on the type of test run. Oxycontin is just a slow release version of hydrocodone. The primary metabolites of hydrocodone include but are not limited too norhydrocodone and oxymorphone and their subsequent metabolites.

Hi there, I just recently moved to Vegas and am needing to find a doctor here willing to continue my current prescriptions of oxycontin 80mg 2x a day and vicodin. I've been in pain management for 2 yrs in another state and I have 5 yrs of paperwork documenting my conditions, current MRIs and x-rays, ect. I have insurance, Blue Cross Blue Shield. The pills are round pale yellow color & are scored down the middle. No other markings. If there are no markings, then it isn't very likely that they are any type of prescription medication, unless he has some means to obtain them from a foreign source.
