I have only been in the Milwaukee area for about a year and I have recently lost my Pain Mgt Dr. and I am having an impossible time trying to find another Dr who will continue with my prescription for 20 mg of Oxycontin. They all want to give me the shots or epidurals. Been there/done that and not going back to them. I have done the physical therapy, exercises, therapy, etc. They even want to do surgery but I am not going to do it. Does anyone know of a Pain Mgt Dr in the Milwaukee area that will write a prescription? ## I know of a great pain clinic. You have to pay good money besides what they collect from insurance. How can I get my Dr. to understand I've built a tolerance to pain meds. Same dosage for 2 yrs . 80mgs of oxycontin and 30mgs of opana daily . I have severe osteoarthritis bursitis and fibromyaliga. What is it for and can it be used as a recreational drug ## Hi J, This pill was a tough one to find, but fortunately another user was trying to identify this same pill and can confirm that it is a 60mg Generic Oxycotin tablet. (Yes that is a "60mg" despite the imprint of "50" on the pill itself). I don't think that it is manufactured in the U.S.; but "more than likely" sourced in Canada, based on info I gathered. Many countries in Europe (such as Bard for UK and Mundi Pharma of Germany, Austria, Italy, and Napp) still make the original formula OC 20, OC 40 and the OC 80. That has been the case for me since 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. I do not know about the future... If Europe changed from OC to embossed OP on the Oxycontin, I will be forced to try USA Roxicodone 30 mg I/R and have to deal with the notorious Pain Management Clinics, as a last resort. I pray I do not have to go that route. Never had a problem getting my monthly prescription for 20mg OxyContin filled at Walgreens. Just brought my prescription in to my regular Walgreens pharmacy and they told me they have not gotten shipment in weeks due to back log and change in supplier in the area. Aventura, Florida. Anyone have an idea where I can get my script filled. I have a legitimate prescription and have taken 2 to 3 per day for legitimate spinal stenosis. 39 year old male, I've been taking 20mg of OxyContin twice a day for almost a year do to chronic back pain. I am not addicted but rather dependent and I never take more than I'm prescribed. The result of this is my testosterone has tanked to levels that a woman has and I determined that I'm going to quit. My pain doctor said he could wean me down, but I shouldn't have any problems with the low dose I've been taking. I tried to go 24hrs without taking a 20mg and began getting severe chills and kind of achy all over. I've been reading about going cold turkey by mega dosing vitamin C; which is said to be a miracle for relieving WD. My question is, has anyone tried this method? Has anybody tried Opana vs OC 80? Any feedback would be helpful. ## What dosage of the Opana? The Oxymorphone in it is actually twice as strong as the Oxycodone, so if you were taking 40mgs of it, then the equivalent dose of Oxycodone would be 80mgs. Both can be effective at controlling pain, it just requires a dosage adjustment. You should also know that there are no more Oxycontin OCs. Purdue has changed the formulation and they are now Oxycontin OP. Are there any questions or comments? I've been prescribed a large dose of OxyContin, 360 mgs. per day, + 180 mgs. of Roxycodone per day. Both have been upped over three years for several problems related to my bones, and now cancer. I get terrified that I'll lose them and if I do, will the Drs. replace them? If not, what would be prescribed to get me through the withdrawals? I have heard withdrawals are horrendous and can't imagine going through that on top of cancer and my other issues. I've asked and have been told to just NEVER lose or misplace them. The rules and regulations of the pain management clinic I go to state over and over that they do not replace lost or stolen medications and do not refill early. If I took 60 mg of Oxycontin approximately 45 min before an iron test, will it show up? How long does it usually take? ## Generally if you aren't getting drug tested it won't show up, because they aren't looking for that. If for some reason they do find it, just tell them you are taking it because you were prescribed it for pain (or whatever the case may be). Essentially it's none of their business if they are testing you for iron levels and not for drugs. Aside from that if they were to drug test you it most likely will show up. How long does it take for OxyContin 40mg CR taken twice daily to get in my system and provide full effect? If you took a pain pill on Monday and gona get drugged tested on Thursday will you b clean or will it show up ## Drink water exercise and when u pee give them half stream piss okay .;) ## I took an oxycontin Monday morning. We have lost our health insurance and now I have to pay retail for my pain med I have been on for 8 years. I nee to know which pharmacy has the best price on the cost to me. Also dose anyone know what the pharamacy pays for the Oxycontin 40 mg wholesale. ## I'm sorry, but there's really no central database listing the price any pharmacy charges, it varies depending on how much you are buying, by location and which pharmacy you use. Oxycontin is also a name brand, so it is still quite expensive. My suggestion would be that you talk to your doctor about using an alternative medication that would be much cheaper. There is a time released Morphine available, the name brand is MS Contin, but it's also available as a generic. You'd just need a higher dose of it to be equivalen...

I have a friend here in Florida who's mother is still getting 80's original formula. I seen the bottle which was filled on 12/29. So idk if it's a Dr's request thing which they claim or pharmacy still has them left. But him and her says Dr had to request it on script. Idk I just know I seen them last month. Any truth to this?? ## The only way she would still be able to get the original ones, with the OC marking is if the pharmacy still had some in stock. Hi I'm prescribed x2 80mg oxy and x4 10 er . And my life if in ruins .. I've had 2 operations on back and the last one has seemed to have fixed my major pain . But now on havery the issue of tapperring to get dose down .. but really struggling has anyone any advice ??
