I found a pill on the floor at home. It is round, orange and has a V on one side and 50 on the other. I've no idea where it came from or what is for. Can anyone please tell me? Thank you

The closest match I've been able to find is Prednisone (20 mg); which I've identified as a round orange pill with a fancy V on one side and the imprint 50 92 (divided by a score) on the other side. Prednisone is a synthetic corticosteroid drug that is particularly effective as an immunosuppressant, and affects virtually all of the immune system. It is used to treat certain inflammatory diseases and (at higher doses) cancers, but has significant adverse effects.
Short-term side-effects, as with all glucocorticoids, include high blood glucose levels (especially in patients with diabetes mellitus or on other medications that increase blood glucose, such as tacrolimus) and mineralocorticoid effects such as fluid retention.
