( especially for the pain ) on a side not does anyone one have any recommendations for relieving severe pain while on suboxone...or even methadone?!?! ## It sounds like you actually may be on too low of a dose of the Suboxone...

Does suboxone help to treat mojo and spice addiction? My son smokes mojo daily and cannot kick it. I've been on suboxone for years to help my pain pill issue and it has worked very well for me. ## No! Suboxone is for opioid drugs like morphine or oxycodone. Your suboxone dependence will be a far bigger burden to carry even though it's safer than spice as far as overdosing. I would recommend using real marijuana to kick the spice and perhaps ask the Dr if it's safe to take a benzo like valium for the nerve withdrawals but only for a short time. Only as needed. Then just wean down and kick the marijuana. If you want to kick the mj but can't, seek a support group like NA. Real marijuana has no physical dependence just psychological.

Random question...I have a place where I keep all my meds and I was bedridden today so my dad had to get my dose for today for me. I had a sub in there and he was supposed to give me my Oxycodone today. I am sure he gave me the sub by accident. I took it at 11am does anyone know how long the half life of that would be so I know when my Oxycodone will work again? I am hurting pretty badly! I've never taken subs before so I don't know a thing about them. ## It usually takes about 3 days, before other opiates will work for you, again. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?

I've seen that people in the USA have started to get the new 8mg tablets which are smaller than the old 8mg one's and these were introduced in England as the old tablets were being abused. So they made the new pill smaller believing it would dissolve quicker but they were easier to hide and people had more risk of OD. This was mainly started by pressure from the home office to the drug companies because the abuse of subutex within the English prisons and the shadow economy within the prisons! ## I may of been stupid, but I took Subutex the whole time I was pregnant and my baby is perfectly healthy and scored really low with withdrawal symptoms. ## Mikeyf1973, what are the markings on them? I really can't research them for you, without knowing more information. Can you please...

I live in SC and I have United Healthcare (Medicaid). I have been receiving suboxone paid for by them for almost two years, with twice yearly prior authorization's. I would like to know if there is a time limit for how long they will pay for it. Will I be completely cut off at some point from Medicaid? ## I'm sorry, I wish I could help you, but I am really not familiar with how it works. This website provides information on medications and medical conditions, if possible, but isn't affiliated with any insurance companies, doctors, or etc. Thus, there is no access to such information. The best suggestion I can make is that you call the information line and ask them. Learn more Suboxone details here. Have you asked your doctor? They may know the answer, if they've dealt wi...

Like to find private Dr in Southwest Florida to prescribe 40 mg tabs..Needs 100 mgs daily so far my need increase, and is still SUFFERING badly !!! Husband fell thru roof 5 yrs ago,,crushed pelvis,,elbows held together by metal,,severe nerve pain in hips and Buttocks. Been on Methadone Clinic on and off for 16 years now due to (IV Use).. Now moved 1300 miles away and know no one.He is in his early 60's and finally Clean but Clinic is far away and very costly. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, Thanks ## I'm sorry, but a clinic is his only option. Private doctors can only prescribe it for pain and since he has already been going to a clinic, that is what it is in his medical records. I wish I had better news for you, but that is the way the law currently stands. This is a ...

My son recently applied for Medicaid and goes to a methadone clinic in Birmingham Alabama, but was told he was not eligible. He also goes to a clinic for mental treatment. The worker and her supervisor claim they know nothing about this program! I know many people who are on Medicaid for this problem. Could someone please explain to me what kind of form or application is needed for this program? My son desperately needs help and struggles to pay for this medication. ## Hi, sorry to hear this. First call the methadone clinic u went to and ask what kind of insurance they take, like priority partners, but not the one u have. So if this is the case call medicaid and switch. I'm in iop class and I tested positive for Suboxone. I take Lamictal Seroquel and Zoloft can any of these meds be the reason I tested positive? I did not take Suboxone. ## HELP! I have NEVER taken Suboxone in my life. I've never even seen it in real life. After 5 years of clean urine screens for pain management, I suddenly tested positive for it in June. I swore to my doctor I hadn't taken Suboxone or anything else not prescribed to me (because it was and is true) he said he had never seen a false positive but that he was inclined to believe me and would run more specific tests. I went back in a few days ago and he said that I had tested positive a second time, that Suboxone contains a very specific molecule that cannot be misidentified and that he would chalk it up to adult...

I have been on subutex for 2 years or more, recently my boyfriend decided we both should try lowering our dosage. After 3-7 days of lowering my dose, I am starting into withdrawal within hours of taking my lowered dose. Why am I in REAL withdrawal even though I have taken a dose of my subutex? These are NOT phantom withdrawals. I am very educated on phantom withdrawals & im definitely feeling REAL symptoms. Why am I in almost full tilt withdrawal already? ## I am sorry if I seem rude for asking, but why is your boyfriend making such decisions? Is he a doctor? Anytime you lower the dosage of an opiate, such as this, it is normal to experience withdrawal symptoms, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, fever, chills, rebound pain, and diarrhea. How long...

I have a round orange pill with AN on the top and 415 underneath. I'm pretty sure its a generic suboxone, but how do I take it? Do I swallow it or let it dissolve under my tongue? ## Hi Teresa, Just to confirm, the round orange pill in description is in fact a generic Suboxone tablet; containing 8mgs of Buprenorphine + 2mgs of Naloxone. Manufacturer: Amneal Pharmaceuticals As far as proper dosing goes, the guidelines state that sublingual tablets should be placed under the tongue until it is completely dissolved. Apparently, swallowing the tablets can reduce the bioavailability of the drug itself. However, you may want to discuss this more with your doctor first, since dosing instructions can be somewhat patient specific, depending on the case. You can learn more about this drug on ...

Hi, I just started taking zubsolv and I hardly feel any different. I have been taking opiates for years. I am not feeling horrible withdraws with subzolv but I don't feel normal, and I'm really craving a pill. However, I have been prescribed suboxone before and feel as though they work a lot better then zubsolv. Any advice/experiences/thoughts? ## What dosage does your doctor have you starting at? The goal isn't to create a high, but rather to prevent withdrawal and cravings, but your dose might not be high enough for you. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Can anyone tel...

I recently began seeing a pm dr for chronic back pain. He prescribed me the butrans 5 and Norco 7.5 every 12hr as needed for breakthrough pain. Well I can't really tell that the patch is helping my pain at all but it is causing me to itch like crazy and the last patch I took off left what looked like a burn on my chest, you can still see a scaly square area there. Has anyone else had this issue? What do I do ## That could be due to an allergic reaction, according to FDA warnings, and if that is the case, they tend to get worse with repeated use, so you could start to experience hives, swelling, and trouble breathing. The best thing to do is to inform your doctor, as it might not be safe for you to continue using these patches. Has there been any change?

I am addicted to opiates. Mostly Oxycodone, and Vicodin if I can't find my drug of choice. I am also prescribed Klonopin, 1mg 2X a day. A couple days ago, someone gave me 1 10mg Methadone because I was sick from not having my D.O.C. I was told not to take my Klonopin though because the mixture could be deadly. However I've just learned that mixing other opiates with Methadone can hurt you as well. So I took the methadone Saturday evening. Sunday I took Vicodin throughout the day, but did not take my Kpin. All day today I have been doing Percocet. I have done about 80mgs over the period of 5 hours. I also took my Klonopin today. I just learned today that methadone has a long half life, and that it probably is still in my body because it is only 3 days since I took it. My question...

Recently I was given narcan in the emergency room after being nonresponsive for an hour and vomitting while I was unconcious. I had taken 120 mgs of ms contin and 2 mgs of ativan, but in this case it wasn't the pills I had swine flu. That was the reason I couldn't get enough air and couldn't stay awake. Anyway they gave me the narcan and almost immediately I started shouting and swearing and having extreme chills and heat flashes at the same time and extreme paranoia. I also couldn't stop coughing and was breathing very rapidly. I was just wondering if that was withdrawal symptoms from the dose of narcan or if I just had a weird reaction. Thanks for your help. ## Sounds weird or you are alergic! I say alergic cause my wife had the same kinda thing happen to her. ## The r...
