If I get prescribed the sublingual film could I ask the pharmacy to dispense the generic tablets ## No Nate. They won't switch out. Subutex is a completely different script. ## @nate, It probably wouldn't hurt to ask, but if I'm not mistaken, your doctor may have to be the one to make that request prior to writing your 'next' prescription. Usually the pharmacy will only give you what they have on the shelf at that time unless your doctor makes a point of notifying them on the script that you want a specific form of the medication. Do the sublingual films not work as well for you? ## I have a white round pill with the markings GPI A5 says to be Subutex. Is that so?

Hi, I started suboxone yesterday after being on methadone for 3 and half years. I went from 85ml to 30ml. I waited 36hrs before taking my first dose of 8mg yesterday, it made me feel ok but not great. I took 16mg this morning @ 8:30. An hour later I was sick and 5 hours later sick again, I feel like s***! I want to go back to methodone asap!! When would be safe to take some methadone? Honest answers plz. I really do not want to be sick again. I cant handle this! I'm on a methadone maintenance program and my dose isn't holding me over. Someone told me to take a phenergan and clonidine pill. Also they say u could take klonopin and xanax with it, which I have experience with. If I take the phenergan and clonidine will it make my dose feel stronger? ## Go ahead and keep playing with fire. Don't be a dumba**, that combo will KILL YOU, any benzo with methadone is a deadly combo, it slows your respiratory system. I found my friend DEAD and had to perform cpr. What is the difference between suboxone and methadone? ## The active ingredients are very different, though both are opiate based and are used to treat severe pain as well as addiction. ## Dear Comments Submitted, Verwon is right, they r both opiate based. I came out positive for lorazepam on a urine test at the methadone clinic. The only things i've taken were ambien, theraflu, sudafed, and some other over the counter medications. Will that give me a positive for lorazepam? ## Do you mean you tested positive for 'benzodiazepines' rather than, specifically, 'lorazepam' (which is Ativan by brand name)?? I am a 42year old male my first drug was at 15 years old it was hash/ever since I was 5years old I suffered from very severe migraines they where so bad I would bang my head full force off the wall to try and number the pain on top of that I would take about 10 or more admits pain killers my migraines can. Our son has been an addict on oxycontin, hydrocodone, and alprazolam for 15 years. He entered the Methadone Clinic here about 9 months ago. We saw marvelous results. All the stealing, dealing, and horrible behavior STOPPED! We were not happy to see him bounce from Suboxone to the Methadone, but after seeing these positive effects, we finally could sleep at night and have peace of mind. HOWEVER, in recent weeks, he is beginning to show some strange behaviors. He stays agitated, gets angry, will not have a conversation with us, is 'wild' some days and then sleeps for 2 days straight! I had been on 130 mg of methadone and nothing else for several yrs for neuropathic pain, and it helped so much! Anyway one month I picked up my refill... I started not sleeping and dropping weight like crazy. My heart was skipping and jumping off and on all day. Also my kidneys started aching. But it wasn't everyday. I did go see my reg. family dr and told him. They ran blood tests. Nothing. That dr insisted it was my back. Whatever. I knew it wasn't. I went in for my monthly refill again, I still hasn't realized it was my last refill of methadone that was affecting me. When my dr got the UA back, it tested positive for EVERYTHING! I was on the generic suboxone pill the round orange AN 415 tablet when I went to pick up my remaining partial perscription I saw that the pharmacist handed me a completely different pill it was the new pink/peach 54/375 tablet I immediately questioned this pill wondering if in fact it would be as good! So I've been on Norco for back surgeries for about 10 years. Taking 4 10 mg three times a day. I decided I was done being a slave to this drug! Anyways, I have done the sub treatment before and was on it for two years and weaned off, went thru pure hell for weeks only to start taking Norco again. I took one of my 8 mg sub and cut them into 1 mg pieces. Took 2 mgs for two days then 1 mg next two. Felt pretty awesome no WD or cravings! I decided since I had gone 4 days and being so afraid of the sub building up in my system I would jump on day 5 altogether. Tomorrow morning at 8am will be 3 days clean. Can taking quetiapine, trazodone, escitalopram, oxycodone, and xanax along with gabapentin test positive for methadone or fentanyl? ## I am a nurse and work a drug rehabilation center with opioid dependency. Benadryl can make you test positive for methadone and or suboxne . 4 out of 10 times you will get a false positive on a plastic cup urine drug screen. If you are in fact CLEAN demand that you have a blood test done. No your probation cannot be revoked on a urine screen it must be a blood test. My physiologist just informed me after 5yrs. that they would not be accepting Medicaid anymore. I don't know why, I feel like they are trying to push me out. I take Suboxone & Alprazolam. how safe is it,my dr. said it is metabolized in kidneys not liver,I have cirrihosis, I take hydomorphone and methadone. I need help finding another dr in my area as i said before my dr has had me on the same dose of methadone for over 6 years and it is not helping with the back pain I have been through two surgerys and recently had a stimulator put in my back for leg pain I am on ssdi and have limited income and the stimulator cost me over4000 out of my pocket wich helped with the leg pain bu no releif for my back. I took 20mg methadone 36 hours ago and 10mg 28 hours ago. I dont feel really sick yet but a little anxious. Ok..so I've been on Suboxone 8mg strips for 2 years. However, I've been only taking 4mg a day starting a week ago and have only taken 1mg the past 2 days. I have a fentanyl patch because, frankly, I'm tired of suffering with my ungodly back pain. My question is probably predictable, but given the low doses I've taken, if I use the patch tomorrow morning, will I feel the effect?
