I was put on suboxone almost a year ago because a new pain doctor told me if I didn't switch to it then he couldn't help me. It was the scariest thing I've ever done but I did it. For the first 3 months I hated it. I had horrible insomnia and nausea. Then I go back to the NE pain center and my new pain doc no longer works there!!??? They set me up with another pain doctor but everyone everywhere assumes I got put on suboxone because I was an addict. Anyway I got through it and within a few more weeks, I only felt 100% complete pain relief and was full of energy! I lost 60 pounds! Out was great. Now nearly 6 months later it's like the opposite. I am on oxycontin and fentanyl patches. My uncertainty is how much into withdrawal do i need to be before taking suboxone? Can i take it at the beginning when i start with the stomach problems (i.e. diarrhea, heavy fatigue)? ## No, Suboxone can only be taken once you are in full withdrawal. This is due to the fact that along with the Buprenorphine, it also contains Naloxone, to prevent the abuse of other opiates while someone is under treatment with it. I was on suboxone when i found out i was pregnant so they switched me to subutex but at 6wks 5 days i was told i had a large subchrionic hemerage behind my placenta and my babys sack and the babys heart was staying aroubd 100 instead of the normal 110 and higher. I went back at 8 weeks 5 days and they said my baby had no heart beat i was devastated! I got to reading my paper work and it said in it pregnancy complications due to subutex intake but they told me it was nothing i done. How hard is it to get off Suboxone? I take 24-28 mg. Suboxone Dailey and have been for over a year now. How hard is it going to be to quit taking the Suboxone? Thank you I was addicted to opioids for over 15 years and got tired of being dependant on them but the withdrawals are so bad and hard do they ever really go away forever? ## You better make sure u take MONTHS to get off subox.....do not do it fast? I live in south Ark & my dr. Realesed me from his case load while i was having emergcy brain surg. He claims i had undesirable behavior? Im having an awful time with migraines. No triptans work so I'm on narcotics for chronic pain. Currently taking hydrocodone 10/325 twice a day but its not helping much anymore. Pain mgnmt dr prescribed Butrans 5mg patch. Its not covered by my insurance so I wanted to know if its better for pain than the current hydro I'm on before spending $170 on a mths supply. I am on 70mg of methadone daily. Before I was on methadone heroin would only last in my system 2 days, 3 days at the most and that's only if I barely drank water and spent those days in bed. Now that I'm on methadone it's not that easy. Unfortunately, I have used heroin again and am due for a urine screen soon. I just need to know if I need to hold off the UA for one more day or a whole week. The last time this happened I had 4 days clean before the UA with lots of water and exercise in between and it still came up hot. Is there any reason why my body doesn't metabolize opiates as quickly anymore? I have been on subutex 54 411 white 8mg Tablets for almost 2 Years now, If you do not want to be on another pain medication I strongly believe this is the way to go I have always had a prescription but now I am asking my doctor to lower me off of them I am down to 1 a day where I was at 2 a day I will tell you that 1 full 8mg subutex will not give you any withdraws within 24hrs that's how long they are made to last a lot of the withdraw symptoms are in your head..an 8mg subutex pill fills up your receptors in your brain enough to last you 1 full day. I have heard of other people taking other pain medication between it and not being sick because their is NO naloxone in the Subutex; (NO Blocker) for other pain medication. Can somebody please help me identify a white round pill marked DRA & scored line on other .... was told it was a subutex? But all I can seem to find about it is kids motion sickness (Dramamine for kids) ## That is correct, it is manufactured by Contract Pharmacal Corporation and contains 25mgs of Dimenhydrinate, which is a generic or store brand of Dramamine for children. (NDC 63029-0904) The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

I took my 1st 1/2 of an 8mg subutex sublingually this morning at 10. I felt some pain relief in 20ish mins, felt safe enough to take the other half an hour-ish later. I usually take 30mg oxycodone 4 times a day but have been out for 4 days, but I refilled my script this evening. Question being..... When is it safe to take the oxycodone & when will I be able to feel the effects? Honestly it was AMAZING for my pain, but the pain relief effort wore off about an hour ago. I am looking for a way to cut my costs on the medication subutex. I was wondering if there is a generic for this medication. In going to a methadone clinic for approximately six months. I and my fiance at 130 and she at 135. They start tapering you up if you miss 4 days. In other words they start you in something like 50 and then 75 and then 100 and then 130. Is there a code word or some sort of life hack That would convince them to start your dose a little higher or on the same dose itself. One time a few months ago we did just that. On the second day we cleared. The third day when you're supposed to get a 100mg dose, we missed it. We made it in the next day. We let him know we had a methadone the day before; we split a 10 milligram Methadone so they just gave us our photos. I took 2mg of suboxone yesterday afternoon. It has been a little over 24 hours. I do not use suboxone alot. When will I be able to take an opiate again? ## It's best to leave about 72 hours, between taking Suboxone and another opiate, unless your doctor has instructed you otherwise. I AM TRYING TO FIND A DOCTOR THAT WILL PRESCRIBE METHADONE FOR CHRONIC PAIN. ITS COMMONLY KNOWN AS DOLOPHINE AND COMES IN 10MG TABLETS. I USUALLY TAKE 40MG PER DAY. THANK YOU ## I'm sorry, but there's no central listing of doctors that will prescribe any particular medication and there's never a guarantee when seeing one that they will prescribe anything. The main problem with Methadone is that is so highly habit forming and addictive. I've been on methadone for a year my dose was at 110mg. I went to the clinic Monday morning and took my last 110mg dose.I have zubsolv which is equivalent to suboxone so my question is how long do I wait to take it? Any1 had any luck w/this? I've been on Subo waaay too long and am more than ready to get off. My new dr suggests the Vivitrol shot. He says to go 3 days w/o any Subs b4 getting the shot. Very nervous. Not so sure I can even go 3 days w/o. Hi, Im needing some help and support. I'm 21 and I've been addicted to Norcos for 2 years, taking them every day. I was taking 10 a day, then was able to lower myself to 5 a day about a month before I detoxed. I flushed all my pills a little over a week ago an was given suboxone by a friend, to help me withdraw. I have no health insurance and each sub doctor I called was either way too expensive or they had no openings for new patients. So I took a quarter of suboxone, the orange pill, after 15 hours of withdrawal. Sub helped that day and the next day, but after that it had no effect on me and I'm wondering why? I have been prescribed methadone already for chronic pain but I moved. Now I need a Dr. In FL willing to write a methadone prescription. I have records from my Dr. for last 4yrs.
