I’ve been on zubsolv for close to 8 years (farrrr longer than I would’ve liked). This was to treat my bad habits during my teen years. I’m on the smallest does, with one pill lasting about 3 days. I had surgery yesterday and was very up front that I want no narcotics under any circumstances. Well they gave me a dose of something (what exactly, I don’t know) while I was under because they said it was necessary. Seemed pointless since they knew I took zubsolv the evening prior. Anyway, the narcotic dose they gave me was between 7-10am yesterday (surgery began at 7, I was released at 10am). It’s now been 24 hours since then. Can I take my zubsolv? I took 60 mgs of methadone sat morning at 8 am... today is monday 4 pm. Am I ok to take 4 mgs of suboxone today? ## It really depends on how long you have been on the methadone and the dose you are at. If your only dose was 60mgs of done sat morning and you haven't take any done before or after that I say your good. If you take 60 everyday you may want to wait day or two more. better safe than sorry...and you will be sorry. ## I took about 15 mgs of methadone for 4 days then just 5 mgs this morning at 8:30am.. I've been on 90mg methadone extended-release for pain and 160 mg of roxicodone for breakthrough pain. They all wanted me to have a pain pump but I refuse to do so. Well my Dr left his practice and before I could find a Dr I took some amphetamines to help my pain and to knock the edge off some, but then failed a drug test for my new Dr, so what does someone do; suffer or take something until they find a Dr? I take Suboxone for fear of ever being back on the evil Methadone and it's working wonderfully. You'll simply waste the meds ## It is the COD that is actually the narcotic, that stands for Codeine and the Naloxone in the Suboxone will neutralize it, so there's no point in taking it. I am 37 and have been on pain pills since I turned 15. I started street methadone to get off of IV Diladud 4mg (K4's). I got on the clinic the day after my 18th b-day. I have been on the clinic 95% of the time since. I found out I had Hep C in 1999. I had to have gotten it in 1995 or 96. The liver biopsy very much surprised my GI specialist. He Said my liver was moderately swollen, moderately scarred. and have extremely high risk for cirrhosis and liver cancer. it has gradually gotten worse, and as it says in medical literature I am finding myself needing a much higher dose ( 240mg split dose at home into two doses of 120mg). How well does methadone work for chronic pain management? I went from 10 mg oxycodone then dropped down to 7.5 mg hydrocodone and my pain is totally out of control. I have no relief. Been on burp. For a few weeks have detox to 1/4 every other day. Last Sunday w as s the last rtf time I took anything. I feel so anxious and crawling out of my skin... how long will this last? ## Hello, Sandy! How are you feeling? It depends on how much you were taking and how long you were taking it. It could be anywhere from a week to about a month, before you start to feel more normal. The FDA lists the typical withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, fever, chills, diarrhea, depression and rebound pain. Im wondering what the maximum take homes your state allows? Im in Pennsylvania and been on MMT for 4 years and clean for almost all 4. We only get a week, 6 take homes and one to drink at clinic. West virginia is where I live and they allow up to 28 bottles, well that might have been cut to 14, not sure. I actually pass that clinic on the way to the one in Pa, its 20 mins further but just easier to deal with the people in Pa. I travel for my job and wanted to know what different states allow or your clinic allows after so much clean time. Id like to transfer where I an get the months at once so I dont have to be stuck every week not being able to leave for longer periods of time. It limits my earning potential. Hi I have been taking the hi tech bupe (white pill with 8 and arrow) for a couple years and recently this month I’ve noticed that it effects me differently and does not last as long, makes me very sleepy, etc. I was Looking at them to see if they are different in any way and all I noticed is the arrows seem to go in different directions on every pill. Maybe I’m just paranoid but I thought before, the arrow lined up straight with the 8. On these ones, some go straight across horizontal and point to left or right and some point diagonally either with the arrow facing up or down. So I am looking for help with my disease and I would like to know if methadone is the right route for me to go. I have been addicted to lortab, norco, viocoden for 20 years I took between 14 to 3 a day. Today I am on norco 10/325 5-6-7 a day. I was given Suboxone 8mg/2mg. I am a resident of West Virginia and have Medicare with Symphonix Value Rx by UnitedHealthcare prescription coverage which DOES cover my Subutex prescription. I go to the doctor in PA, less than one mile across the WV state line. I am having problems finding a pharmacy in WV that will bill my insurance for the medication although they DO accept the insurance and had no problem whatsoever accepting it for a script written in WV. I am trying to do a rapid detox but I am decreasing 5mg every 3 days, I am at 20mg now, I was at 40, when I started 8 years ago I was at 180mg! For example, I have seen pictures from round white with imprint 54 over 142 on one side and a score in the middle on the other to Pink, scored 4 ways with Lilly and U53 below it. I took a suboxone at 11 pm and took a urine test at 5 pm the next day. will i fail? ## If they are testing for suboxone, yes it will show up. What kind of urine test is it? And what is the purpose of the urine test? Your situation depends on those variables. From my understanding, Drs have to specifically test for buprenorphine. It will not show up on a standard 5 or 10 panel dip test. But if your being tested by an addiction Dr, pain management or parole/probation and the test is sent to a lab it will show positive for Bupe. ## You will be fine!
