Does it help in cold turkey situations? Is it expensive? ## Hello Oshan, Could you be a bit more specific? Do you know what the new drugs name is or what the drug is that is causing the withdrawal symptoms in the first place? ## Are you by chance talking about Lucemyra (Lofexidine)?? It seems to match your description of being approved in May and having the same use. I'm sure it would be costly since it's being sold as a new drug name unless your insurance would subsidize it. According to GoodRx, it's close to $2,000 and that's with a coupon. "FDA approves the first non-opioid treatment for management of opioid withdrawal symptoms in adults For Immediate Release - May 16,...

Has anyone used this medication to lessen withdrawal symptoms? It's called Lofexidine and the FDA approved it in May. ## Hello Kurtiss, I have not personally used this medication as I have not had to go through opiod withdrawals but I did find a pretty informative FDA press release that I would like to link you. Take a look at this if you're looking to get a bit more information on this medication. [1] FDA Press Release Hopefully you find something useful. Have a great day.
I take methadone vistiral antabuse busporine Prozac are they any I shouldn't take together ## I'm just curious if it's safe to take these era together ## Busiprone is listed as a severe interaction. Talk with your provider. ## Hello Curious 37, There are actually quite a few interactions between these medications that I found. I would strongly suggest that you contact your primary care physician and schedule an appointment to discuss if you should continue administering these medications together. Below is the list of interactions I found. Prozac oral and buspirone oral both increase affecting serotonin levels in the blood. Too much serotonin is a potentially life-threatening situation. Severe signs and symptoms include high blood pressure and increased heart rate that lead ...
Normally my subutex I thought was really tiny, round white. This time it's a larger tablet white round with RP on one side b 8 on other. I looked at an old bottle it said ROX after sub Today's says RHO after sub. Both saying Buprenorphine. Is this Subutex like I'm suppose to be getting? I use to get the strips which I much prefer because they're easier to cut up and take smaller mgs if I choose. But I have no insurance and the price difference is outrages. Thank you ## Hello char, The pill you are describing matches a buprenorphine 8mg pill according to the NIH. Both of these pills contain the same active ingredient but come from different manufacturers and so the inactive ingredients are going to be different. If you have not noticed any changes in the way that the pill...
My ex is telling everyone at my work (Hannaford) that I'm prescribed suboxone. If they fire me for that how can I sue her and the company??? Please help! VERY IMPORTANT I get a answer very soon! ## You can't sue your wife, it is is true. Your employer may or may not be able to fire you after they receive proof that you are being treated for drug addiction. If you are asked to provide proof and you don't, they can fire you for not providing proof. ## Tell her to shut her mouth! That is your private business and Yes you can be fired. They can say it was for something else. Believe me! It happened to me. ## You should tell your employer you are on Suboxone for nerve damage. I was prescribed it for pain and it works great. They use it in Europe for pain all the time. Naloxone is...
I have been prescribed methadone since 2009 for nerve and chronic pain. I have had 7 surgeries need 2 more major surgeries, have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, degenerative disease, cervical spondylosis, and severe osteoarthritis of the joints. My doctor referred me to pain management due to personal opinion and unsure how to treat me. Have had inj's., therapy, recently my nerve burnt and received different pain medications - which none have worked or I had reactions to them. The only thing that has worked is Lyrica and Methadone. This clinic has taken me from 130 mgs to 80 mgs in a 5 month period. Ignoring my request that I still have a lot of chronic pain. I have searched and called numbers to get yet another pain management doctor and no one will keep your dosages, only weanin...

Hello. I'm trying to prove a point and figure this situation out so I need as many suggestions and help that I can possibly get with this question. If you handle quite a few Suboxone wrappers and had even handled Suboxone itself but have never taken Suboxone, is there any way that could get into your system without taking it? Thank you so much this means a lot to me. It really does. And yes I have tried to research this question and I get so many different results so I thought I would come to this wonderful MedChat and try to get a lot more information. Just trying to prove a point. I'm so desperate to figure this out. So please help me. ## Hi Annie, I'm not an expert in the forensics of touching a medication like Suboxone. However, I am under the impression that Suboxone ta...
I've been on methadone for almost 13 yrs due to a car accident when I was a teenager that left me disabled and with chronic pain. My current Dr. Received a letter from the Medical Board ( which he let me see) explaining that in order to keep prescribing methadone that he will need to get a license that will allow him too continue to perscribe this. My dr said it's became a huge hassle and that because of other patients "dr shopping" he just can't do it anymore. I've been with him for over 6 yrs! He was nice enough to give me a supply to last me a few months to give me time to find a Dr that will help me. My dr now said if by chance I'm still haveing trouble at the end of three months, he will keep helping me but he's not sure for how much longer. I'm ...
I need a Doctor in Oklahoma City that will prescribe Methadone. I've had chronic pain for most of my life. I took lortabs or similar meds for yrs. Got into a bit of trouble so got on Methadone maintenance therapy. This works for me most of the time. I'm just so tired of having to pay $240/mo for it. Plus, all the "hoops" they make u jump thru. I would be willing to drive out of town if not too far. Please help me! ## Methadone Maintance is for those addicted to opiates. It will be very difficult for you to find a pain management dr who will treat your pain when you've been in a Methadone Maintance program. Drs want copies of previous drs medical records. There is also the Prescription Monitoring Program that drs check before rxing pain meds. You also have to jump thr...
I'm relocating to Hanover pk il I'm currently taking methadone for pain how do I find a doctor that prescribes methadone for pain that accepts medicaid in Illinois? ## Hello, Karina! How are you? Any doctor can prescribe it for pain. Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, though, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. The easiest thing to do would be to set yourself up with a new PCP and then have them refer you to someone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area? ## I suggest asking your current doctor to help you find someone ## You are relocating to Chicago/Hanover Par...

I have to see my PO tomorrow I need to get suboxone out of my system by then. how do I get it out faster? Been doing it daily but about a quarter a day for awhile now... Please help I'm so scared, someone said if u have a high metabolism that helps and to drink a lot of water. need answers really really fast please. thank you!!! ## Suboxone has a half life of around 40 hours before real wd will start. That means it will be in your system at least two day from the last time you dosed. I dont see waterdrinking as a way to rid yourself of it. If they test for Buprenorphine if may show up. The good ews is that your taking such a small amount you may be ok. Good luck ## Doesn't show up with regular test. It's has to be specific for bupes and the test I's expensive. ## Correct...

Hi, I started going to a methadone clinic 3 months ago for opiate addiction. I am paying 98$ a week, well my sister is, bless her heart. I was wondering if this is the cheapest option for me? This includes the methadone which I am currently stable at 60mg a day. I started out looking for Suboxone doctors but the cheapest I could find was around $400 for the first visit and $300 for the next, which was 2 weeks away from the 1st. I would prefer Suboxone but am satisfied with the progress I am making with methadone at the moment. I live in the Memphis area and am looking for better options if they exist? Thank you in advance for help on this... ## I live in Jonesboro Ar. My visits are 200.00 a month zip take suboxine but now they have zubsolv which is the same drug. I heard they have a cou...

Not real sure why exactly it is that I feel it necessary to post here in this forum. Maybe I'm hoping that someone looking for help will read this and make the same decision myself and my husband did. 7 years ago I was introduced to the joys and wonderous feelings of pain pills. Always working in the restuarant industry as a server/ bartender, the high I got from taking tabs or percs or whatever I could get my hands on led me to believe that I was a better server, better at my job, made more money, could talk to people more openly and be a happier person all around. At first, like the beginning 3 years I would take 1 to 3 lortab 10 mg in one day and be hopping around all over the place till the wee hours of the morning, talking everyone's head off and energized to the max. As th...
I have been in Pain Management for 15 years. I have the usual round of diagnoses. Herniated discs at cervical, thoracic and lumber spine. Bone spurs through out. I have spinal cord compression in my neck. Pain. I just switched from 16mg of Exalgo (Dilaudid ER) with Fentanyl ir for breakthrough- back to 100mcg Fentanyl patches with 15mg Morphine 3x a day for breakthrough. I feel like a trapped rat. To the outside world I'm a professional woman, mother of 3 grown children. I'm no different from any other junkie though. I wanted to go into suboxone assisted substance abuse treatment. Then I found out that, for quite a while, you have to be at the program every day to pick up meds (and go to therapy/group). I'd lose my job! I can walk into Pain Management, ask for Suboxone and l...
