I was dope sick and was given a subutex. I hear it's just like the suboxone so it's a blocker or would I feel another opiate a few hours later? ## Hello, Bree! How are you? No, Subutex does not contain the Naloxone that is in Suboxone that neutralizes other opiates. It only contains Buprenorphine. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, if you have an addiction problem, I strongly urge you to see a doctor and get proper medical help. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Vernon you do not know what you are talking about at all. Yes subutex blocks opiates just as well as suboxone. The bup which is in both med...

Does anyone other than myself have trouble with sleeping too long when taking Buprenorphine? ## Hello, Allan! How are you? Do you mean it makes you more tired/fatigued so you sleep more than usual? If so, that isn't uncommon. Buprenorphine is classified as an opiate, by the FDA, and that is a common side effect of such drugs, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. What dose do you take? It may be slightly too high for you. ## I usually just sleep a full 8 hours.

I am trying to understand why I cannot take a whole Bunavail strip? I have been on Suboxone 20mgs. daily for nearly two months now from coming off 170mgs. of Methadone daily and 4mgs xanax daily. I still could not take a whole Suboxone strip at once because I would start hurting all over and it wouldn't last because of needing to take lil pieces every 15+ minutes all throughout the day and I would still have cravings. So I went to the doctor today and he prescribed Bunavail to take with the Suboxone for 2 weeks. and I took a bigger piece than what I usually take of the Suboxone and I felt ok but I felt if I was going into worse withdrawals than what i'm experiencing now. I was hoping that someone could help me figure out a way to feel better without going threw severe withdrawal...

The doctors around here only care about the money. All of the subutex/suboxone Doctors are strictly cash basis, I am on social security and cannot afford to pay $100 per visit. And to make it even worse they will not even help submit a claim for re reimbursement. Is there anyone out there that knows of a Doctor or clinic that accepts insurance or is a real Addictions specialist that can help the DEA has made i...

I used to take the 8mg suboxone strips. Trust me stick with the suboxone. I would rather have 1 suboxone strip than 2 zubsolv tabs but my insurance doesn't cover suboxone. ## Omg subzolve SUCKS ive been on suboxone for a few years and my ins wont cover it anymore so now im suppose to be on subzolve and it has done NOTHING but throw in wicked withdrawal. i have been on methadone for 18 years for pain from an auto accident and live out of country, MX....I need to find a doctor who will perscrible me for more thsan 30 days as it would be cost prohibiative to travel evey 30 days ...and I need to establish this link soon. ## If you are now living in the United States, Pain Management Dr.s are who you would look for. I also can only take methadone for my pain. They do prescribe it in low doses for pain unless you may have a ton of previous paper work from before. I hate to tell you that at first they will only give you 1 month worth at a time. After I established myself with this Dr. For 8 months, he does give me 2 months now & I have heard that the law is only 3 months of individual prescriptions at a time. Each time you fill it, it has...

I am havin stomach cramps, runny nose, cold sweats/chills but no diarrhea yet. My refill date is in three days for my methadone and I'm also worried about how the affect will be and long I need to wait before I can take my methadone again...? I only want to take the subs to get by this 3-4 day withdrawal. Honest and accurate opinions, please! I've been on Mdone for 10 years at 120mg a day. ## @Trapped, I've been browsing through some of the related threads here and I'm seeing the vast majority of patients who've gone from Methadone to Suboxone predominately state that you should wait at least 48 hours after your last dose of Methadone before having Suboxone. (i.e. waiting until you're in a state of withdrawal; otherwise the Suboxone won't work). Concerning yo...

Please, I need names of clinics or doctors desperately, one who will take medicaid. ## Hello, Tt! How are you? There is actually a search engine on their website that will allow you to search by zip code. You can find it at Suboxone.com click here. The doctor's contact information will be included, so you can contact them to see if they are taking new patients and if they accept Medicaid. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction. It carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation and dry mouth. And it will last 24 to 48 hours ... and will take about 15 mins to feel better!! ## Take them orally as outlined in the leaflet provided with your prescription. Looking for pharmacy filling Methadone 10 mg, in ATLANTA, GEORGIA, or Sandy Spring 30328 , Area . tried a few WALLGREEN, and CVS's , but no help. If some one knows a pharmacy that carry it most of the time, please help me ... ## Hello, Tizpar! How are you? There is no such thing as a Methadone pharmacy, any pharmacy can carry it and there is no listing of ones that do that I can refer to for you, either. The only way to find out is by actually visiting the pharmacies with your prescription in hand to see if they have it in stock. Calling won't get you an accurate answer, because they have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is a potential thief or legitimate customer with a need. Suboxone helps, but it's been a month and i feel like I can't stop. I was taking a lot of opiates before. Does anyone think that's why I'm 24 and been on it for 4 years? I'm ok as long as i take 8 mg every 24 hr. I can't take pain very well. I guess that's why my problem was so long. How long should I be on Suboxone? ## Well, to be quite honest with you, no one gets off of Suboxone in a month, things just don't work that fast to beat an addiction, especially when it was very severe and lasted for a long period of time. In most cases, it takes about 2 years or so. Are you trying to self-treat, or are you in an actual program? ## Dear Blumist, I was addicted 2 Oxy 4 almost 11 years. Been on 90 mlg. methadone for 6 months, having severe constipation. Looking for something to help my opiate addiction that doesn't cause severe constipation. ## Hello, Iceman! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. However, all opiates, inducing those used to treat addiction can cause constipation as a side effect. Along with the risk of being habit forming, the FDA lists their other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Have you consulted your doctor? When I was on pain management, I found fiber supplements helped a lot with this issue. ## i also have chronic constipation.. every time my doc. gave me syrup or some tablets.. but when i stop using that.. again i face the same problm.. what should i do...

Day 40 off suboxone. Rls, or rather restless body syndrome, hot flashes & I feel like I'm 500 pounds. Sux! Just wondering how much longer this s*** is gonna stick around? Just wondering if anyone has had bladder or kidney problems taking Subutex? I've been on it for roughly 3 years. Is it something in the Subutex? It's the big pills, not the little ones. Any info will help. Maybe the fillers. I don't know. I can't hold my pee at all. Please help. ## Hello Sub Girl Wen, I'm sorry to hear that you are having these issues. According to the NIH subutex is known to effect the bladder but what they have listed is urinary retention and urinary hesitance. In other words it is listed that subutex is known to cause users to not be able to completely empty their bladder, have weak streams, not be able to go at all or lose control over their ability to hold their bladder. I would suggest that if you believe your issues are related to your subutex...

My wife decided to change our health care plan to save me a few bucks and apparently they fast talked her or she didn’t catch it all.. but long story short, while speaking with Cigna / marketplace / healthcare.gov, they told my wife and I that our copay would simply jump to $40 from $20... OK, I can live with that, at least I thought, until I went to fill my meds today. Apparently we don't have a copay ... well let me rephrase that: it doesn’t kick in till we pay our $8000 deductible. I have never heard of a deductible having to be met to get meds (visits to docs, etc, ok). But I been paying 20 bucks for 2 years straight for my meds and today I was quoted for one 30 day supply a price that exceeded what 2.5 years of my previous medicine costed me.. $500 plus dollars! I know Suboxone does not show up in a standard test. But the job I am applying for may do an extended test. I have a prescription from my Doc and I am on 16mg a day which by the way is wonderful. Can anyone please help me!!! I need to find a private doctor in tyler or dallas texas that prescribes methadone. I cant make it to the clinic everyday and I need help with my opiate addiction. I found suboxone doctors but they are too expensive. Please help ## Hello, Sherri! How are you? I'm sorry, but for addiction treatment, a clinic is your only option. It would be illegal for a private doctor to prescribe it for you. It is only allowed to be given in a clinical setting by those that are specially trained in its use. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I wish I had better news for you, but I'm afraid this is the way it stands ...
