I've been taking 4mg a day of suboxin for 2 years and I didn't really taper of lime I should have.. Now it's day 12 without anything and skin is still crawling and feeling crappy.. How much longer till somewhat normal?? ## Jason stopped taking it after 2 years and I was finished with withdrawals after aprox 6-7 weeks. I actually got worse around 2 weeks because I stopped sleeping which caused severe PAWS. I had to go on sleeper and restless leg med to survive. It's been 5 months and zero issues except I still take restless leg med but much better. ## There is a great article on MedlinePlus about opiate withdrawal. Unfortunately, there is no real way to say how long it may take, since we are all different. You may follow a time frame similar to DeeDee, or yours could be l...

my boyfriend has been smoking heroin for the past 6 months and just got suboxone to stop the heroin. He waited 12 hours until he was into withdrawals and took 8 mgs of suboxone he was still not feeling well so he broke down and took 1 hit of heroin 30 min later. Is it ok for him to take more suboxone now 45 min after his 1 hit? ## He really needs professional assistance with his problem. Has he considered consulting a doctor? Suboxone contains the active ingredients Buprenorphine and Naloxone, this combines a narcotic, with another medication that helps neutralize other opiates, to prevent their abuse, while under treatment with it. Proper use of Suboxone entails a careful calibration of the dosage, to prevent the severe withdrawal symptoms from stopping the abused drug of choice. Howev...

Hi i have been on suboxone strips for over 5 Years and now my insurance says I have to take the generic pills and I was wondering if others have had experience wirh switching from Strips to the white or orange pills? I think I’m gonna have the white pills!! I’m so scared of getting sick again!!! Thank You for all your help!!!! ## Hello Mare, I would like to help you but I need some additional information on the suboxone pills you intend on taking. Can you tell me what the dosages are and if possible what the imprints are on the orange and white pills? From there I can get some helpful information. Most of the time if you are given a choice between two pills, it is likely that they are allowing you to choose between two generic brands that they stock. If that is the case you ...

Ok I have been given a prescription of norco 7.5. I have been on subs since Dec 2013, 8mg a day. Is it safe to take them when they pull my tooth? ## It will not help with your pain until you stop Suboxone for at least 48 hours, and even with that you might get limited relief. ## Steph77 is right it's a complete waste, you should probably just take an extra 4mg of sub that's what my doc told me to do and it worked call your doc and see what he says. ## Ok so it did work with the extra 4mg. I don't do pain well at all. The dentist already scares the s*** outta me so that don't help... ## Ok say if I didn't take the subs for them 48 hours how long would it have to wait to take my suboxone again? Thank u for the help by the way ## Search google for the cows scale, you ha...

looking for dr to prescribe subutex to me while I am pregnate. I live in Wise Co. Virginia the doctor needs to accept va Medicaid. ## Hello, Yossi! How are you? It is unlikely that you will get an OB Gyn to prescribe it. You should just get yourself set up with one and then they will most likely refer you to someone else for the Subutex treatment. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Need sebutex dr in va. or tenn or even ky. i used to b on methadone maint but i kicked herion. then i had car accident and needed pain medds then i tried bpx but i.get sicker if i take that. i need a dr. and is it poss that my fam dr c...

I am detoxing off of methadone and ive talked with my counselor and since i have pain issues that im going to have to address because of me detoxing off of the methadone, she(counselor) told me to check out some pain clinics were they can monitor my med use,but i would really like to be sble to find a pain clinic that would maybe give me 10-20mg of methadone in pill form just for the pain instead of going back on any kind of pain medication. I just dont see the point in getting back on some random pain med after i just spent 4 years to stay off of them.???? im very confused and dont know what to do??? Can you help ## Hi Amy, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I don't know of any clinics to recommend, but I'll try to be of help in other ways. What type of pain are you exp...

Suboxone aka buprenorphine. Opiate blocker used to treat opioid dependency. ## Just to confirm, a white round pill imprinted with D 155 is identified as 'generic' Buprenorphine hydrochloride 8 mg (base) + Naloxone hydrochloride 2 mg (base). Manufacturer: Actavis Elizabeth LLC Depending on the application form, buprenorphine is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe chronic pain, opioid dependency (as Tweek stated above), and for peri-operative analgesia. I hope this helps anyone who may still be trying to ID this pill! ## For those who find this post. the "D" is not actually a "D" but it is a crescent moon which is the logo of the company. So if you call the pharmacy asking about a "D", they cannot find it. It is a crescent moon on one side and...

I am switching from suboxone to methadone and i have chronic pain. Will this help me with the pain? I dont have any other options. What should i do for my pain? I have marfans syndrome and it makes u have chronic pain every day. This is my last resort. Will the methadone help? It's terrible to be uncomfortable and in pain trying to find a solution, so please i need feedback. ## I went to the methadone clinic for 4 years and came off of it cold turkey in jail. I am struggling to stay clean even 4 months later. methadone is more addicting and w/d are more painful than the opiates. if you are already on suboxone i would definitely stay on it instead of switching to methadone. just my opinion tho. i am looking into starting suboxone and would never go back to the methadone clinic. ## De...

I've been on the highest dose of suboxone for about a year now and i don't feel like it's helping at all anymore. I wake up miserable everyday with horrible cravings and i wish i hadn't woken up at all. I want to switch to methadone for pain which is what my family Dr. treats me for. I think my Dr will write for it for pain management. But since i just picked up my suboxone for the month would it be able to be filled and also would the methadone be covered by my welfare insurance? I know he can write for suboxone even though i never asked him to do it since i go somewhere else. I live in Philadelphia i don't know if that makes a difference. Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated. ## Methadone and suboxone can't be taken together.. it's deadly My older s...

I am a 55 year old man, and I have been going to a Pain Management facility for lower back pain and now even chronic Osteoarthritic shoulder pain, and have been taking 60mg of Methadone every day (10mg tablets x 2 x 3 times a day -- morning, noon & night) for the past three years. Although I've been doing well on that regimen, perhaps out of more of a psychological concern over the known "qt" (heart) effects of the drug (rather than any "real" ones), I decided to ask my doctor if I could try Opana ER (20mg every 12 hours), which I had taken once before, for a short time, at another Pain Management facility, with great success. All I'm wondering are what the withdrawal effects might be (if any) of stopping the Methadone (60mg) on a Monday, and starting the Opa...

Which one only has one blocker and which has two blockers (Subutex / Suboxone)? ## @big k, You might be thinking of Subutex, which only has one blocker (Buprenorphine). But just to confirm, a white round pill imprinted with 155 on one side and half moon on the other, is identified as generic "Suboxone"; containing Buprenorphine hydrochloride 8 mg (base) + Naloxone hydrochloride 2 mg (base). I hope this helps answer your question! ## Subutex doesn't have a blocker whatsoever. Buprenorphine is an opiate. Subutex is 100% buprenorphine. Suboxone which has 1 blocker in it. And that blocker is naloxalone. They don't make subutex or suboxone with 2 blockers. Ive been on suboxone for over 2 years. ## David (# 1) - All you had to do was Google buprenorphine and you'll underst...

My wife has panic attacks, and with some financial stress she is really having a breakdown. I've heard horror stories about benzo's and methadone so I want to hear from someone that takes them with methadone to know how safe it is. She takes 65 mil methadone daily, liquid. Anyone? ## I have been on methadone for 2 yrs now and I also take a benzo to treat sever anxiety. I am also on the patient advisory board at the methadone clinic I attend and have 6 take homes, meaning I only go to the clinic once a wk and take the rest at my home due to following the rules and being clean from all drugs, unless I am prescribed. It can be safe to take methadone and a benzo, but only if the doctor prescribing the benzo knows you're on methadone. The part that needs to be watched is to make ...

I need to know if this is liquid methadone. It is a completely colorless liquid and smells minty-like. ## Hello Aj, I have found absolutely no documentation to support any brand of liquid methadone smelling "minty". Given some more context I might be able to assist you a bit better, where and how did you come across this liquid. What kind of container is it being kept in? What makes you believe that this liquid is methadone as I don't see the connection between a minty smell and methadone. I'm not trying to be rude it just is extremely difficult to give you any sort of direction only knowing that the liquid is colorless and has a mint smell. You can type in any medication name to find out the prices at all of the pharmacies near you. ## Jim, yes, those are the active ingredients in Suboxone, so what you've received is a generic form of it. ARE SUBUTEX EVER ORANGE AND ROUND WITH HALF MOON AND 26 ON GENERIC 20 MG TABLETS? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? No, Actavis actually lists this as being a 20mg generic Adderall tablet, which is most commonly used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia and anorexia. Will 10 mg methadone work to relieve bad toothache pain? ## Hello, Eddie! How are you? It is an opiate analgesic, so it can alleviate pain just like the other opiates that are available. The FDA classifies this as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, you shouldn't take it, unless your doctor has prescribed it for you, due to the danger of overdose if you aren't opiate tolerant and it's great addictive potential. Is there anything else I can help with? ## All methadone should be burned 3 times and buried. It's addictive and does nothing for pain. No more methadone should ever be produced

Is your friend capable of causing them any harm in doing so? Regarding issues carrying prescriptions onto a cruise ship, do cruise ships treat you like TSA does at the airport for carry-on items like medication? I have to go to my p.o. tomorrow & take a urine analysis. How can i pass a urine test for suboxone if i only took an 8th of one 2 days ago? ## There is really no guaranteed way to do so. The Buprenorphine in the Suboxone is usually detectable in urine for approximately 4 to 5 days, after last dosing. It requires a special test to detect, as it is not included in the standard tests. The time frame can also vary from person to person, due to various individual factors, such as you metabolism, overall health, fluid intake, activity levels and etc. Are there any other comments or questions? ## I took a half of a quarter of suboxone yesterday and have to go to probation tomorrow morning... Will I be clean? ## They have to have a special test for suboxins so it's shouldn't show up...
