i was just wondering how long my suboxone will last i take one 8mg film everyday and have only taken my first dose so far so i guess my question is how long will i feel its effects ## hI . I have been on this med for 3 years now. When I first started it, I learned everything I could about it, so you are wise to begin questioning. Suboxone can work in your system anywhere from 28-32 hours, depending on the person. If you really want to test this out for some reaason, try waiting for your next dose until you start feeling SLIGHT withdrawl (sweating, agitated, restless legs). Then simply look at the time between the doses. I have been prescribed some form of hydrcodone for the last 7 years, my tolerance now is so high im taking 60+ per day for the last 2 years. My life is almost ruined and i want it back. I want to try suboxone but i have heard many horror stories about taking it to soon and instantly going into full on withdrawl. I heard 24 hrs is standard but a friend said since ive been on it so long and so much that i might need to wait 3 days. I was on subixone treatment under a doctors care. I had to stop because im in drug court. I took 1Mg to slow down withdraws. Will it show up 2 days later on bupernorphine stick test? ## Yes, it likely will if they are looking for it and such a test usually looks for even low doses of it, since it isn't commonly used in very high ones. Hey all....a little history about myself. I have been on suboxone for almost 2 years 16 mg a day. My purse got stolen which had my medication in it, I immediately filed a police report but with multiple calls to the insurance company, the pharmacy, and my doc I didnt have any luck getting an early refill. It takes one week for a police report to get approved so therefore was not able to receive a copy of it to get the refills, although I gave them the police report number it was not sufficient enough. My question is I have been taking a 30mg oxy a day to help with withdraws and let me tell you they have been kicking my ass. I get my refill this Saturday if I resume my regular dose will I go into PW since I've been taking the oxy for 8 days. I have not taken any other opiates besides...

Hi everyone....I posted a few days ago about my suboxone being stolen and was wondering if using a 30mg oxy a day to take care of withdraws then resuming my suboxone once Im able to get them filled would send me into withdraws?? I took a 30mg oxy at 8am then a half of a 30mg oxy at 8 pm. I was able to get my suboxone filled at midnight thanks to a wonderful pharmacist at Walgreens. trying to detox from subone have been on 8mgs a day for 15 months need help please thank you. ## Hi confused, I hope I don,t confuse you more but heres what I did when I got down to 8mgs. By the way, it was my sub. drs. taper plan. For 2 weeks I alternated, day 1 8mgs. day2, 4mgs. day3, 8mgs.day4, back to 4mgs. This averages out to 6mgs. I kept this routine up for 2weeks then tapered to 4mgs. From the 4mgs I tapered 1mg. per week. After the last week on 1mg. I stopped completely. I've bought some cold medicine and didn't notice there is a small amount of pholcodine in it. Will I have any bad side effects if I take this with the subutex I am prescribed? ## Pholcodine as an opioid that's used to suppress cough and it also has a mild sedative like effect, so it may not be advisable to use them together. My gf just started on subs and I swear shes high, don,t care but just noticable. Is this even possible? Been on them my self and experianced nothing like what Im talking about. ## Yes, it is possible. I was on suboxone 9mths ago and my tenncare covered it. My dad died turing this time and it was so hard on me.I was abusing the sub so i ran out early which caused me to relapse.tenncare covered my hydros that I relapsed on so they denied my sub the next time i got it.I stopped going to doc. and got back on pain meds.after i had enough i went to a 28 day proram. I have been out 3 weeks and already relapsed. I have sub appt the 26th of june. do you think they will give me another chance and if so do you think tenncare will cover it. ## Not on Tenncare myself but I,m next to possitive they will cover script but maybe not appointments.

I need a doctor in the Aetna network who is certified to prescribe suboxone. ## Have you tried searching at the Suboxone website? I am not sure about insurance network information, but they do have a searchable database that can help you find doctors in your area that are certified to treat with it.
