Suboxone contains the narcotic Buprenorphine along with Naloxone, which prevents the abuse of other opiates while someone is under treatment with it. What that means is that you have to be in full withdrawals from other opiates, before you take Suboxone, or the Naloxone can cause you to go into severe, dangerous withdrawals. I am looking for a doctor that can prescribe methadone tablets. I've been in a clinic for almost 8 years I need the medication for chronic back pain due to multiple car accidents. I have two weeks worth of medication take home but for my job I am now starting to Tavel. I was recently in Germany and got stuck there an exta day and didn't have more medication. Hello. My question is related to the long-term use of Suboxone and why so many offices now charge cash for treatment. In my particular case, I was addicted to painkillers after long-term female-related issues requiring Suboxone to discontinue the painkillers. My original prescribing dr was wonderful, but retired after about 4 yrs of treating me. The next dr went into the military and closed his practice. At that point, I was taking approx. 16mg anddecided to wean down on my own. Over the past 2 yrs I' reduced my dose to 2mg, BUT now have run out of medication and the only dr in my area who will accept myinsurance cannot see me until 10/03. I am supposoed to take 15 methadone a day but I went to Michigan for a funeral and lost (or was stolen) the pills I had with me. Now I still had some at home but it was only enough for 2 a day for 2 weeks until I had to go to my pain doctor for a urine test. She told me my sample came up negative. Can that be true? Can Methadone possibly show up in urine or blood test as having traces cocaine in your system? ## Not ordanorarly, unless, reaching here, the one that handeled the urine spec. from the Dr's office , contaminated the sampll! Almost immposible,could happen,not likly. ## It should show up as a narcotic, which is what these types of tests usually indicate. ## Always be honest with employers or potential ones. I have Been taking small amounts of physeptone and mst pills for pain. I've only taken bits of codeine for a week now but have some bruprenorphine patches...is it wise to stick a patch now? Does anyone know of a doctor who prescribes methadone in or near Orlando. I've been on them for pain for years and it's the only thing that helps. My doctor took me off and put me on loratab that doesn't do a thing. ## Why did your doctor switch you? Hello. I am going to my 1st appointment to a Dr. That prescribes Suboxone to try to get my life under control. I have been taking just about any pain killer pill I can get my hands on for about 6 or 7 years now, mostly hydros, roxis and oxys. I am prescribed 80mls of methadone daily for 12yrs now. But i tend to go off the rails every 6mths or so and end up taking another 100ml on top. I've always had a high tolerance to methadone and to heroin when i took it, but the last 6mths i've had 3 seperate occasions where ive started of feeling dizzy and lightheaded, then its like my heart is missing a beat.
