I am trying get myself clean off H n just took a 6mg suboxone strip. Will it help if so long till it works? ## Hi Kitty! B 4 the suboxone will work, u MUST b in withdrawals. Otherwise, it won't work and can make u feel worse. As far as time, they usually take about 15 minutes 2 work. If the g don't work, u may need more. It all depends on how much and how long u were using. But, if you want 2 get clean, u r going 2 need more than a day or few 2 do it. U should go 2 a clinic or suboxone dr and do it properly. If u r not already doing that. Remember, the main thing is 2 b withdrawing b 4 u take the suboxone.

I need methadone and take it daily at the clinic. I cannot afford the 12 dollars a day for me and my wife. What are my other options? Are there any free clicks or doctors who can write it for me. I may be able to get the medication covered on my insurance. ## Hello, Mark! How are you? I'm sorry, but for addiction treatment, a clinic is your only option. A regular doctor isn't allowed to prescribe it for that. And the clinics also have to have you come in regularly. Eventually, you should be able to have some take-homes, but no, they can't write you a prescription for it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have Medicare/Medicaid Spend-down of $250. I need to get on Methadone but cannot afford my spend-down. If I could get a prescription written, my supplemental pharmacy insurance would cover at least part of my cost, if not all. I cannot get a RX written through the methadone clinic in Akron, Ohio simply because that is not their protocol. I qualify for the Methadone Program so the only thing stopping me is the money and protocols. My Suboxone Strips are straight from the pharmacy so they have never been opened but they are "alot smaller" now and Iam mad but I dont know how to ask Suboxone manufactorers..my pharmacy would think Im crazy probly so hhmmm? ## Hi CLB! Im on the films and as of last month ( May) I haven't noticed a difference. But, I'll know when I pick them up again next week. If I do c a diffence, u can bet your butt I will ask my Dr or pharmacist. There's nothing wrong with asking. They r NOT going 2 think u r crazy. That's their job, 2 answer ???. The Dr didn't decrease your amount of mg, did he? If u find out anything, let me know, please. And, I'll find out next week.

Your strips may be from a differant maufacturer. The pharmacist would know whats going on. Call the store you got them from. If you do would you let us know what he said in case someone else runs into these smaller ones. ## I will call my pharmacy & ask if they got them from a different manufactorer & let u know what they say...yesss the strips DO NOT LAST ME AS LONG AS THE PILLS DID but they quit making the namebrand Suboxone pills..I didnt like the generic pills so I use the strips now.

So I had moved from Wisconsin and moved to Washington state....not a nice state at all! I've had nothing but problems since I got here.... No doctor here wants to take care of me for my medical reasons that I was getting in Wisconsin. Narcotics in Washington I guess is on lock down for narcotics but dont take it out on those whom do need there pain meds. I took 25mg of liquid methadone, it's the first drug I took in 6 months. I have a urine test for my p.o. in 10 days. My question is should I be worried about it showing up in the ua? Hi I'm currently prescribed 10mg subutex. I''ve now got to give urine samples and here's my problem - I'm dual using opiods and subutex. Luckily they're not gona supervise me when i've got to do the samples. I can get a clean urine sample but there's no question of me getting the 'clean' person to have any subbies in their system. So my question is this - if I get the clean urine sample and dissolve a bit of subutex in the urine sample will the test show accurate (i.e. positive for subutex but nothing else)? The test won't be able to show that the subbies haven't been metabolised through a human system or anything will it? Thanks!

my friend said we should not mention at a aa meeting that he is on methodone, do aa people not approve or is he making up stuff? ## Hi Maniac! From my own personal experience, he's right! I have been judged and spoke about behing my back from being on methadone and suboxone. A lot of the people there at AA just want 2 hear about alcohol. That's it! Not all AA groups r like that, but, a lot r. ## P.S. I chose AA because there is more longevity with people staying clean than in NA. (Tried NA) people in NA told me that I wasn't clean because I was on methadone then suboxone. That's bull sh$$! Then after awhile in AA, I'm being judged because I don't drink alcohol. U can't win, sometimes.

I was in a car accident in 2006 while pregnant with my son flagging for a construction company I have been on and of of perks and other things and recently had my Dr transfer without making sure I had a dr to replace her now that I am dependant on perks (or oxys) I am tryin to get on the methadone program I have tried some of a "friends" only about 10 mg of her 70 mg bottle and I am a 5'7 200 lbs woman and I have not had any methadone in 10 days but I just got back from my sample and it tested positive again for the 2nd time for methadone how is this possible when everyone says about a week its been 10 days since I drank any last and im still testing positive?!?!?!?!?!?!? can anyone help me with ideas to flush my system for my next urine sample on Tuesday 4 days away PLEASE ...

I was put on Suboxone Nov.13,2013.It is the best decision I've ever made!I went to my classes/groups 3 times a week for much longer than was required because I was afraid of not having the support and routine.I finally felt strong enough to graduate and start aftercare.My first or second UA (once I was going to aftercare only)came back from Ameritech Labs...The results?...NO SUBOXONE IN MY SYSTEM.I tried to tell my councilor that I take my meds the same way as I was told to from the begining of taking Suboxone.My daily routines have not changed since I graduated outpatient and started aftercare.He even went as far as to say that my UA had been watered down.This Suboxone has saved my life,Literally!I do not tamper w/my UA's.I have NO reason to.I Sure In The HELL don't skip do...

Will suboxine show up on a urine test for probation. Have a friend who is about to get out of jail and wants to stay off pills. Can't afford Dr visit right away but has access to suboxone. Wants to start them to prevent relapsing. Would sub. Show up on test or would it require specific test for it. Thanks

Anybody else on suboxone and a ton of meds for bipolar? I currently tak: suboxone 12mgs/day-lamictal 100 mgs/day - seroquel 100mgs/day - zoloft soo mgs/day -clonodine 2mcgs/day -Lyrica (for anxiety) 150 mgs/day -xanax 4mgs./day -dexadrine 30mgs/day.and now a water pill, due to Lyrica swelling.... I am so sick of it all....have been on 22 different meds in 1 1/2 years.... went into detox for opiate abuse.....did fine and went on suboxone but about 4 months later, went into total breakdown....completely suicidal...should have been hospitalized, but i adamantly refused after having been in patient for opiate addiction.... Nothing seems to be working....I only get moments of "ok"...never great....and if it is, I am told I am manic.... I just don't know how to go about this anymo...

I lost my daughter to CPS almost over a year ago for one failed test, me and my husband both have been clean for the entire time trying to get her back. I'm on Suboxone and have been for 3 years now they want me off of it or I cant get her back isn't that going against my rights for one? And last Tuesday my husband who has never done it failed for it!
