I am a recovering addict. I've been on pain meds for yrs and I want off. I volunteered to get clean myself and got into a suboxone dr. I have been taking them properly but I had 20+ pain meds left and have took a few of them. So when I go and take my drug screen will the hydros show up? What do they test for? Please let me know what I am in for when I go to take my test.

The allergist can do some tests to check and see if your doctor is correct. What type of issues have you been experiencing? The FDA lists the typical side effects of Naloxone as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and body aches.

Can any doctor prescribe Subutex? Or does it have to be a psychiatrist? I asked my family medicine doctor about it (which was over 5 years ago) and he never heard of it. I need a Dr that prescribes subutex not soboxone and once a month due to work near statesville or hickory any suggestions???? ## Dr. Kearney in Iredell County, you do start out going every day to dose and once a week drug panels. If everything goes good after the first 6 weeks they let you take home a week at a time. Then so on and so on. Eventually you do get them once a month but you have to put the work in.

My suggestion is to switch to a short-acting alternative for 2-3 months until the Suboxone is off your receptors, then taper down and be sick for only 5 days. In my experience, the thought of quitting is worse than the reality of quitting it. Just do it!

I was positive for methadone on a drug test. I did not take it though. I had a severe flu and I took nyquil tabs, dayquil also q-pap (kids Tylenol) and suboxone. But the test said methadone, which I can't even take because of a bad reaction I had years ago when they tried to prescribe it for pain. I gave it back the next day to my doctor.

Hello. I am currently taking 24 mgs of suboxone film per day. This dose has worked well for me. I was taking 28mg per day but hav cut back. I live in Va but my doctor is TN. I was told at my last appointment that they had to cut me back to 16mgs per day b/c of some new TN law that forbids the doctors to write more than that. Is this true? How can they do that? It seems like it would be not only a violation of federal law but also a human rights issue. I would understand a reasonable limit but even the suboxone website says this is a reasonable dose. What can u use to get 49 mg methadone out of my system asap? I have a ua in two days. ## Dear Just a druggie , I would suggest getting a clean urine at the store and drink tons of water. Also, what's really good at flushing out your bladder and kidneys, Cranberry juice. U may not like it, but, it's a good thing 2 drink. GOOD LUCK! ## Usually it's out of your system in 3 days. I took a small amount of a 2 mg suboxone strip about an hour ago. I didn't want to take it, but my friend is one of those pushy types who insisted. It was roughly between 1-2 milligrams... Need for well documented chronic post spinal fuision. ## It is a very common misunderstanding that there are doctors that treat with any specific medication, except in the case of those that have been trained in addiction treatment. Thus, there is no way to find a doctor for pain that treats with any specific medication. What you need to look for is a pain management specialist, but you can't call asking about any certain drug. If you do that, they will see it as being drug seeking behavior and they won't even let you get in the door. You need to set up an appointment, make sure they receive a full copy of your most recent medical records, then keep the appointment and discuss your treatment options with them. Hi I've been addicted 2 opiates nearly 20 yrs. For the last 3 (almost 4) yrs my fiance has been sharing his methadone w/ me. I know its wrong but I don't have any insurance and I'm so tired of pill hunting, and now I'm tired of him holding it over my head and worrying all the time if I'm gonna have it. Plus you may not even feel the effects of it due to Suboxones long long half life ## @Jay, The length of time any medication remains in your system is going to be dependent upon several factors including: the dosage taken, the duration of time you've been taking it, your age, weight, diet, whether or not you're taking anything else with it, etc. The only way I can personally help you to determine how long it might take for the Opana to leave your system, is to tell you the half life (like Matt mentioned above). I currently go to a suboxone clinic and get drug tested every week. I used marijuana tonight (sat) and was wondering if that will come up in my test test on Thursday? ## For sure it will they use the best screening out there but you will be ok for weed just say you had a really bad headache and that's the only thing that helps but if you get into harder drugs they will cut you off and if you have been doing it long enough you know how bad that is. ## I am being prescribed suboxone, what does the Dr. office specifically test for, and will ritalin show up???

Hello all. I am a 22 year old mama to a 10 month old baby. I desperately need to get off opiates.. I mean, my situation pales in comparison to some...but withdrawals are withdrawals all the same. I'm hoping for some helpful advice and tips! I've only been addicted to opiates for about 9 months. Im looking for a doctor who will prescribe subutex or soboxone for pain management. I have horrible chronic pain and am finding trouble finding a doctor who will listen and help with the pain not just addiction treatment. If anyone has any suggestions for me that would be great. I have a list of a few doctors who do prescribe it but it says for addiction treatment. The doctor I go to now has a giant sign saying they wont treat chronic pain. Kokomo area would be preferred but I will make the drive to wherever if its worth it. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

I have been on Methadone for 12 years prescribed for severe arthritis. Now all Doctors at clinic are hell bent on taking every patient off of any narcotic pain reliever. I am addicted to 40 mg of methadone divided up to two doses a day which means 20 milligrams two times a day. I was on two pills am three p.m. but they reduced dose. I developed such severe pain for over 6 weeks that my blood pressure skyrocketed and I developed a flo vent murmur of my heart. Now these doctors are going to take another 10 mg pill away, I fear i will be in a wheelchair or dead. Hi, I am prescribed 3mg film of Suboxone daily for pain and opioid dependence. Does anyone know of any good psychiatry clinics or psychiatrist in or around Indianapolis Indiana that accepts Mdwise through hip2.0 ? I wason the AN 415 orange generic suboxone tablets and for no reason at all other than to cut their ordering costs Rite Aide just switched to the 93/5721 generic suboxone tablets they are no where near as good I have diarrhea, nausea, irritability and high blood pressure after switching to the Teva brand. The pharmacy swears the tablets are the same milligrams and same active ingredients,but I highly disagree. I was slowly tapering down on the orange AN 415 but since being put on these I can't do that any longer. I usually don't complain when insurance was covering it but I am disabled and only get $630 a month since I'm paying $301 out of pocket for them each month I expect the best. ## Wow!
