Is there a generic or alternative to methadone 5 mg? What options do I have for motin 800 as I had heart surgery and am now on Lasix and warfin and can no longer take motrin? I need something for inflammation! Thanks in advance. ## Hello, Ellie! How are you doing? Methadone is the generic, but there are other opiate narcotics available. The FDA does warn that they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. As to a replacement for the Motrin, you may be able to take a steroid, but only your doctor can decide what's safe for you. How long ago did you have the surgery? What other medications are you taking?

How long do I wait to take subutex after suboxone? I need advice from others that have switched. ## Subutex contains Burprenorphine, and Suboxone contains Buprenorphine with Naloxone, so there shouldn't be any need to wait, you can normally make a smooth transition, unless your doctor says otherwise. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Are you on any other medications? What instructions has your doctor provided?

I no someone thats takes suboxens an they are addictive to them they got on them to quit taking pills an they did now all they want is a suboxen strip there hook to them an it makes them carzy an mean dont want to move if they donthave one in them ... why does pple do that ## Sometimes, it isn't a conscious choice that someone makes. It's been proven scientifically and medically that some people are born with a genetic predisposition to have addictive tendencies. Learn more Suboxone details here. They can fight it, of course, if they are aware that they are prone to it, or know that it tends to run in their immediate family, but it is never easy. Almost anything they take, even substances that aren't known to be addictive and habit forming, may cause problems for these types...

I have been take 1/2 of 8mgs of suboxone. I tried cutting back on my own and went into withdrawals, only because I was going to a heart Dr and did not know if he was going to do a procedure, which he did not. I told my Dr about it and now she wants me to go from a 1/2 8 milligram to cutting the half into. 1/8 that's how I went into withdraws . I don't know what to do. Janet. ## Hello, Janet! How are you? It is normal to experience some withdrawal effects, when lowering the dosage of such a medication. As listed by the FDA, they may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache and depression. However, they should not be severe enough to be dangerous. The best thing to do is follow your doctor's instructions and take it easy for a few days, while doing so. Is there anything el...

I have been taking the white half moon subs for 3 months now , and today I picked up my script and realized a Roy d orange colored pill , none the less , this me generic sub is even more disgusting then the half moon pill and feel as though they do not work... Has anyone out there experience the same thing ?? ## Same for me. I had to take 2 1/2 8mg pills to feel comfortable. Not cool. I wish the d****bags that approve this crap would go back to making the stoppies, or stop signs from a few years back. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.. Unless, ya know, they weren't making QUITE as much money off of them as they are now, probably. Then sure, f*** everyone over in that case. Greedy. ## I have been on suboxone for about 7 years. I used to have a bad oxycontin addiction, and thro...

I have been going to a methadone clinic for 7 years i have m\s and it works great for my pain but its 88 miles from my house and the drive is becoming too much. Im looking for a doctor that will percribe me methadone for my pain in the state or maine. Or a pain clinuc that is methadone friendly. ## Isnt there a Clinic on Brighton Ave in Portland? I took a now deceased neighbor to it. I believe the clinic owner may have recently passed away, but its still open ## Hello, Erika! How are you? I'm afraid that a clinic is your only option, at this time. Due to the way the laws are, regardless of why you were taking it, the fact that you went to an addiction treatment clinic is in your medical records, so a private practice doctor or pain clinic won't be able to prescribe it for you. T...

I took 50mg of methadone today. How long do I have to wait to take suboxone? ## Wait about one to two days so it works and doesn't make u have bad withdrawals. You will be sick if u dont start feeling sick and then take the sub. ## Hi Brandy, I know this is an older post, but I came across it. Like u, I went from methadone 2 suboxone. U must wait until u r withdrawing before u take the suboxone. If u don't, it won't work and u could get sicker. ## I took 60 mg of methadone at midnight and started the suboxone program at nine am the next morning. I was fine. ## I'm on 70 mg methadone and I want to switch to subs... How long do I wait? It's been 42 hours since my last dose and I'm now starting to feel some withdrawals..... Please help! ## Depending on how long u ha...

My aunt just received these pills from pharmacy and she wanted to know all side effects before taking medication. ## AN 627 does not contain Methadone or any other narcotic. It contains 50mgs of Tramadol, a centrally acting analgesic. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Read more: What led you to believe they were Methadone? ## If she was on methadones and they switched her to tramadol that can cause serious health problems and withdrawals. She needs to contact the pharmacy and her doctor asap. Hope ?? all works out. ## I was going to say the exact same thing about the 617 and blank side because my brother takes 8 of these a day and they are Tramadol positively.

class work -however i am having trouble finding this ## VA had me on methadone for over 15 years. ..volunteered for methadone cessation with the VA because I kept going into DTs because USPS/UPS kept delaying my meds. Sometimes it would take a week to get my RX. ....then, when I dropped below 25mg, the cramps diarrhea and associated pain was causing me to be suicidal. I can't get a doctor's referral because VA doctors don't work with "outside" doctors. Of course, they won't allow me to withdraw from the program now. My God, I wish I were dead. Is there any hope for me? The CDC(? ) are on a witch-hunt now for any doctors giving narcotics to patients who are not considered terminal now. They just closed a very good doctor's practice down because he prescribed n...

I used to take methadone primarily. Before that perks. My access was to liquid methadone. I would take approx 25 mgs in the morning and an additional 10-15 mgs at dinner. Enough was enough and I got in a suboxone program. Now I know opinions will vary on the best way to get clean. I feel this is currently my best option. I run a store, working 60+ hours a week, 6 days a week. Unfortunately I've already missed 4 days due to the flu and being dope sick. I was suppose to get my script for suboxone last night but the pharmacy messed up. So I ran out and got 2 perk 15s. I took one at 12:30 to help me sleep. Then took half at 9 and the other half at 10:30 or so. When can I take my suboxone? Dr suggested I wait till either last night or this morning but that was before the pharmacy messed ...

I've been trying to get off of opana and today makes day 12 for me. I've been taking zubsolv 5.7 and can no longer get any. My last dose was a half yesterday. Can I take methadone for pain today? My body is hurting extremely bad. Please help. Thanks. ## Hello, Ray! How are you? Zubsolv with usually prevent other opiates from working for you for approximately 72 hours. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Are you on any other medications?

Hello, I have been taking Subs now for almost 2 years and it has been an absolute hassle trying to find them from different people at different and much needed times. I have Aetna insurance and I have heard things like I can't be using suboxone already for me to get on them or they will not cover it. Is anyone recently familiar with Aetna and suboxone? I know their policy has changed recently with a handful of drugs and suboxone I believe was one. Thank you ## Hello, David! How are you? I think you'll get the most accurate information by calling Aetna and asking them. You can reach their CS line at 800-872-3682 between 7am and 7pm ET. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I'm doing good, thank you. Okay, I will give a call, but just one more thing. I am nervous to give ...

Hey, I've been taking a quarter of a suboxone daily for the past year and haven't been able to get my hands on any so I've come across a few 10mgs of methadone; it's not the wafers but the pill. This is to be dissolved in my mouth, correct? Also i know suboxone and methadone are totally different but i wonder if i took 5mg if it would work? I don't want a high, just not to be sick and feel normal. ## Case, If you don't want to feel "high", just "feel normal", then why take anything? Your question makes no sense. If you wanna feel high don't bother buying methadone. The Subs act as a blocking agent and you won't feel euphoria from any opiate/opioid you take. You can however experience respiratory arrest by trying to override the blocking me...

I have been on subutex for over a year and have not taken opiates in that time. I have a really good job and they are now doing a drug test today urine / hair sample test I am the sole provider for my family and do not want to lose my job. I need help on how to pass my test. I take between 4mg and 6 mg a day, I am working on getting off the subutex but at this point I have no choice bc the withdraws will be terrible and I work 12 hr shifts 60 hrs a week... please help! ## Your job can't fire you for being an addict. methadone is very deadly my brother in law lost his life to methadone he is no longer alive becouse a docter priscribed it to him now hes gone i came home and found him dead on my couch ## Methadone only kills if not used properly- like most drugs. the problem is, most folks on methadone have had a street addiction and are still looking for the high. methadone does not get you high. it manages withdrawal and or maintainence for drug abusers and most recently chronic pain sufferers, because it lasts 24 hrs. hate to say it, but your brother had to die from a combination of drugs, not just methadone ## ###### I'm sorry for your loss. I'm about to start school to be an LPN in Pennsylvania. I have been on an extremely low dose of Suboxone for a few months. I am scared that when I take my drug test it will show up. Does anyone know anything about Suboxone and drug testing in the state of Pennsylvania?
