My doctor gave me a urine test which is degrading enough on it's own, and the test came back positive for a high level of hydromorphone (dilauded). I have never taken anything except for the Norco so why did the test come back as a false positive? I have never been accused of lying before and it was not a good feeling! I have no reason to lie and I want to prove the doctor wrong! Any advise would be greatly appreciated! ## Norco contains hydrocodone, which metabolizes into hydromorphone. This is not a false positive. You really do have hydromorphone in your system. But this is an expected result of taking Norco. Your physician should be aware of this and not penalize you. ## I am going thru the same thing right now.mi take Norco 10/325...
blue oval pill ## Narcotic pain medication come in odd mg. doses like 22 mg. very addictive ## No, there is no Norco available in a 22mg dosage. It contains Hydrocodone, and Acetaminophen, it is narcotic analgesic and its most common side effects are listed by the FDA as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache, according to FDA reports. It also carries the risk of being habit forming. The strongest dosage available contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone, and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. What are the markings on the tablet in question?

I get a bit confused. I was taking Norco 7.5/325 every 8 hours and now taking Oxymorphone HCL ER 15mg every 12 hours. Should I take them at like 8 am & 8 pm and then the same the next day? To keep it on even times? That way I can mark it off on my appt. book. ## She told me only 2 per day, and that was it! ## I had a stroke and memory loss, and I just wanted to make sure I could keep myself on a schedule. ## Hello, Sam! How are you doing? Yes, that's fine and the best way to take them. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I'm condoxcyline every 12 hours.i took it at 3when d...
I just move here from phoenix where I was on Percocet 10mg, MS Contin(morphine sulfate 100mg), or synthetic opaite will work too bupanorphine, Tiban i think is on. and Soma. I don't have inscurance and I am looking for a Dr. or PM clinic that will write opiod medications. Anywhere in the Detroit Metro area would be nice. And since no Insurance I need it to be a cheap as possible. Also, I need to know ahead of time that the Dr will prescribe Percocet Oxycodone MS Dilaudid. I have been taking over 300 10mg Norco's a month for the pain and I know it is affecting my liver. Please if anyone can help me. And sorry about the spelling errors. ## Hi George, Listed below are a couple websites specific to locating pain management doctors in a given area. All you have to do is input your ci...
Does it seem that people are having less problems with some of these bogus generics for norco not working, if they are taking the 7.5-325 as apposed to the 10-325 ? It seems that most of complaints RE- these crappy generics ( including my own ) are mostly related to the 10.325 strength. Unfortunately, I'm on the 2nd month of getting a bad generic, just a different one than the 1St time. So, basically a 2nd month with pain meds I can't take, cuz all it does is give me a bad headache ! The time it was the white Watson. It has nothing to do with them taking out the yellow color, either it just doesn't work ! Stuck in pain for another month, cuz nobody will do anything till then. If people seem to be having less of these type of problems with the 7.5 strength, next month I may a...
I have been taking Norco 10/325 for.a few years and it has controlled my severe pain. My physician is starting to prescribe me medication that just simply doesn't work. Please.....If anyone knows of a very liberal Doctor in Los angeles, Ca. (more the south bay area: Torrance, Redondo Beach, Gardena etc.) Please let me know!!! Would be very much appreciated ## Since Norco, along with other hydrocodone combination meds, will become a Schedule II Oct 6, 2014, finding a liberal dr will be impossible. Many drs who use to write for this have stopped due to the new tigher regulations that will be in place in less than 2 weeks. ## Look under Pain Management Dr.s on the Internet or a phone book. Be sure you know what generic drug brand works for you. You may need to ask any Dr. you find if h...
How much stronger is the percocet than the norco? ## Hello, April! How are you? For each 10mgs of Hydrocodone in the Norco, you only need 6.67mgs of the Oxycodone in the Percocet. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I hav been on norco tens four a day for two years. i hav become addicted. can i take a percocet ten mg to help withdraw symptoms ## Yes, any opiate medication will help with withdrawel. ## I'm so sorry to hear. What are the withdrawal symptoms like? Can you slowly decrease off so the withdrawals aren't as bad? ## You know I was taking norco10mgs 4times a day and the Dr changed to percocet 10mg3...
I have been taking v3601 yellow norco since I have had 2 spinal fusion done and they work great. One pill lasts about six hours. Now my pharmacy switched to IP 110 and I have to take 3 to 4 pills every 4 to 5 hours and they make me feel weird. I don't care what anyone says, there is a difference in the two. The ip110 are complete garbage and should be taken off the market. I am in so much pain still after 4 pills and feel like crap. How can this manufacturer think no one would notice the difference? So now I have to go all month (well I won't make it all month) taking two to three time more a day than normal. I will run out. This is such crap. So now I am forced to take more then prescribed a day just to somewhat help the pain instead of taking less to help the pain. Completely ...
I took a total of 2 tablets of Norco 10/325 about a week ago. I had a urine drug screen today. Will I fail the urine drug screen? I have been drinking lots of water and drinking cranberry juice since. Please help with any info. ## If you were prescribed this medication, then you have nothing to worry about. However if it was someone else's prescription it should still be out of your system for a UA within that time period. The half-life of hydrocodone is approximately 3.8 hours. So after roughly 4 hrs, 1/2 of the dose still remains in your system. How long does it stay in your system?… essentially indefinitely if it is a hair test (unspecified period of time) according to many sources; but detectable amounts after 16 hours would be 1/16th of the dose. Chronic use c...
What is the difference in the white oblong pill with m367 and the yellow with a V and 3601? ## The only difference between these two tablets is that they are manufactured by different companies. The one with the M marking is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and the one with the V is manufactured by Vintage/Qualitest. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. But both are the same dosage and contain 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Verwon, Your wrong. It's very apparent that you are not taking these pills, and/or you have never had a long standing chronic pain problem, and had to go from ...
I am prescribed Norco 750 for pain. I came down with bronchitis and was also prescribed cough medicine with codiene which I took at bedtime but did not take my norco as usual. I had one at 4 pm the night before I had my urine tested and one an hour and a half before my urine test. The doctor did a strip test and informed me that it was negative. She has sent it out to a lab for further testing. I have terrible anxiety and am wondering if the lab test is going to show positive? Will there be any norco found in my urine? I have inoperative adhesions and a bad back and cannot stand to be in pain ## I have taken these for over 8 years and have never taken more than orescribed. I also have a phobia about taking pain pills. Due to the fact that I found my sister dead years ago from abusing pi...
I'm taking Norco 10/325 for chronic back pain. I've run out . Is there anything OTC that is strong enough to get rid of the pain. At least til my next refill ## Unfortunately no, the strongest thing available over the counter, in the U.S., is Aleve, which is just a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and stomach irritation. However, it is nowhere near as potent as the Hydrocodone in Norco and may not be safe for you to take. How often do you run out early? ## Thank u for ur reply Verwon. This was the first time...I'm moving and my back is worse than b,4. I took more so I can continue to do what I needed to do. ## I have been on norco 7.5 for a legitimate spinal injury. I see my doctor every...
Hi, I'm new to the forum. I am looking for direct help or guidance to procure Norco 10/325. I have been getting nowhere and my medical records only stretch back two months, so I am having difficulty getting a prescription. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. ## The biggest problem you are having may be due to the fact that you are trying to obtain a specific medication, along with questions as to why your medical records only go back 2 months. Most doctors will look at those two factors and immediately find them suspicious, as they are commonly the signs of a drug seeker. Don't you have an established regular doctor? ## I have a family practice doctor, but I have not been to her in a while. It makes sense that it would look suspicious. Do you have any other advice r...
I am looking for the amneal mfg brand of Norco in Indiana ## The Qualitest Norco yellow kind are by far better than the white Watson brand ## In my opinion, the best way to ensure that you get what works is to have your prescribing doctor specify the name of the manufacturer you want on the prescription itself. From what I understand, this is generally enough to make the pharmacy order whatever it is you need even if they don't have it in stock at that moment. This tactic also ensures that no matter which pharmacy you go to, you should be able to get the appropriate medication. It might even help to have your doctor write down a reason why you need to avoid certain manufacturers' products (i.e. due to various binders/fillers you're allergic or hypersensitive to, etc..). Has ...
Hi all! I had Florida blue health insurance and they inadvertently dropped me yesterday. I turned 26 in June but my mom was able to add me to her employer plan in July. They gave me no notice in December and as I mentioned spontaneously cut me off. My first question is: If I decide against buying health insurance, can I still pay out of pocket to see my pain management doctor? From what I'm seeing on the website I think I can; and can I pay my prescriptions (narcotics included) in cash at any pharmacy of my choice without discrimination for not having insurance? Also, my second question is like I said I have been seeing my pain doctor and this whole thing couldn't have happened at a worse time as two weeks before Christmas I slipped and fell down the stairs. My doctor increased ...
I am taking 1 tablet of Norco 10-325mg at bedtime for pain due to ankle surgery; 1 tablet of Mirapex 0.25 at bedtime for RLS; and over the counter Alteril ( 1-2 tablets) for sleep. Restless legs are keeping me awake and in torment at night. Is there any problem with this combination? Also, is there a better solution for RLS? ## Increase your dose of Mirapex to the next level. I have had RLS since childhood and am now 60 years old. Ten years ago I was given Mirapex at its lowest dose and that very night I went to sleep without having to get up and walk or jump around because of my legs. Since then I have had to up my dose to one and one-half tables of .5. Your body has probably built up a tolerance, just keep upping the dose when you have more than a few nights of leg problems. ## No one...
When I picked up my monthly pain medication which is suppsed to be Norco 7.5 325 is white not orange and it says U02 on one side and has a split line on the other side? Is this correct?? Have they changed again and I just was not aware. It is the weekend so the doc and his pharmacy connected to it is closed. ## Hello, White! How are you? Yes, these are listed in the pharmaceutical databases as containing 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. These ones are manufactured by Aurolife Pharma. It is common for a pharmacy to switch, depending on which company was offering the cheapest price, at the time they neede...
What the heck, guys?!?!? I've been prescribed the yellow, oblong Norcos 10/325 for years and years now (several different illnesses\conditions). All of a sudden I went to CVS and the pills they gave me were more or less, useless! They were white and smaller. They don't do anything to help my pain. This sucks! I called CVS and they said that the FDA passed a law stating no more "Norco" could be sold due to the rampant over-abuse. Great. Thanks a lot for those of us who really, genuinely needed that ONE MED that really actually worked and helped. Because of pill-poppers and sellers, I can no longer get the one and only medication that helped me. This sucks. It's wrong. Really wrong. I don't take them to get any high. I take them to make it thru my day. Anyone else ...
There are many fake Norcos out there....BEWARE!!!! Yellow, peach, and white ones....best way to find out is when u put them in a clear glass of water they dissolve real easily and into bits and pieces ## Not all fakes are created equally, and therefore the dissolution of a pill in a glass of water may only hold true for certain batches coming from a specific region. So I say the only sure way to protect oneself against fakes is to get a prescription filled at a licensed pharmacy. However, with counterfeits looking more and more like their real counterparts, anything less than a lab analysis is still a gamble in my opinion. Having said that, Norco tends to be one of the more commonly prescribed narcotic pain relievers. I would think if somebody has a legitimate need for it, doctors may b...
