Been taking 720mg of oxy ER for 15yrs.9 80s a day Have now tapered to 120 mg over the last 8 months. Wondering where to go after 3 5mg a day. Do i go to norco? Thanks ## Hello, Dc! How are you doing? What has your doctor advised? Generally, rather than go to a different medication, they'd have you start skipping doses to eventually completely wean yourself off. For example, you'd take 3 a day one day, then 2 the next, then back to 3 and gradually start widening the gap every week or so. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Thx for idea, talked to doctor who doesn't know much about.says iam his first patient in 20...

Taking 40 mg of norco a day for 4 years. This is only my 3 rd day but I feel normal. Last night was the worst of it now I'm almost normal. I was careful and prepared for the worst. Did I actually come out the other side. I of course still want the meds and my back and neck pain have returned. But am I free? Could it be ## Hello, Alisa! How are you? Yes, it is possible. Not everyone experiences nightmare withdrawals, it can vary from person to person. Some people can take fairly high doses for a long period of time and then just stop, without experiencing any withdrawal effects. Are there any Doctor's in AZ (preferably in Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Scottsdale, or Tempe area) that will prescribe pain medications for fibromyalgia and lower back pain? The strongest medicine that I can get is Norco 10/325 x 2 a day but that doesn't cut it.

I've been taking the light pink or orange generic Norco now they gave me this M366 smaller white pill. Every time I take it I get nauseated. Why? They should be the same....but something is making me nauseated. I've called my pharmacist and they say it should be the same. Has anyone got any ideas? I'm taking it just like I did the other one. ## Hello, Leah! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Generic medications are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% of the active ingredients, as set forth by the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984 and they don't have to measure against each other, so there's a chance that this new one is a bit stronger, which could explain the nausea. The FDA classifies this medication as a na...

Hi all! Was wondering what would happen in my situation. Today I went to Walgreen's with my sister to run an errand and while I was there, I wanted to ask which day my Norco script was due to be refilled (I wasn't sure if it was Friday or Saturday). I go to a PM doctor for degenerative disc & have been taking Norco since December. I asked the girl if she could check which day I was eligible for refill although this wasn't my normal Walgreen's but I figured since Walgreen's has a computer system, they can look up exactly when my script is ready. (I wasn't planning on filling it there because according to my PM contract I must fill at one pharmacy. I just wanted the date checked.) She asked me randomly if I was taking the medication as scheduled, not really pay...

I have a white pill that i believe to be a 10mg norco it has a 9 and 3 on one side, is this what it is? ## Is that the only marking on the tablet, or are there additional numbers or letters? The 93 is usually used by Teva Pharmaceuticals, though they are slowly phasing out that imprint, and it is usually followed by an additional set of numbers that identifies the medication. Learn more Norco details here. ## That is probably a generic ultram called tramadol 50mg strength. Is it football shaped and smaller that most norcos? If so, that's what it is.

Prescribed Norco 5/325 given Watson 3202. Take one or two pills(caplet) as needed for pain. I would rather take 1/2 of one. Pill is white caplet with red speckles and partly scored on one side with WATSON other side 3202 no score can I cut this in 1/2 and take only half? ## Hello, Avalon! How are you? Yes, these are listed as being regular release, so they're safe to cut or break, if your doctor approves. Is there a difference between norco IP 109 and norco M 365? If so, what is it? ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? They are just manufactured by different companies. The one with the IP 109 marking is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and the one with the M 365 marking is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, but both are listed as containing 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I was prescribed Norco 5/325 1 pill 3 times a day as needed but the script was only for 60 pills. is that considered a month supply or 20 day supply? ## Hello, Lori! How are you? It would be best to check with your pharmacy, but it was most likely intended as a 30 day supply, since it's only to be taken as needed. Your doctor likely believes there are days when you won't need to take 3. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. When do you have another appointment? ## well I went to the dr yesterday and told him what was going on... he put me on soma 2 times a day and reduced my Norco to 2 times a day. I was very hones...

My mom took 3 norco without letting me know. I monitor her meds and give her one every 4 hours if needed. But she informed me that she took 3 of them without my knowledge and was scared what they might do. She is sleeping but very restless. ## Hello, Beverly! How is she doing? Yes, that might be too much for her. Did she suffer any adverse effects? That could result in overdose, if she's not opiate tolerant. Signs of overdose may include nausea, severe dizziness, extreme drowsiness and shallow breathing. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I am very sorry that you're in pain. However, this website does not manufacture, prescribe, nor sell any medications, it is an information only website. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you have a regular PCP? I've been taking Hydrocodone 5 and now 10 for about 8 years now due to a bad back. I can take 1 every 6 hours as needed and always stick to the prescribed directions. Some days I take 1 and other days up to 4 depending on my pain for the day. Today I was out and about and I broke a pill and took 1/3 of a hrdrocodone 10 manufacturerd by Mallinck. Well its been 9 hours now and I still feel it. It appeared I actually peaked around the 5 hour mark and I've felt a really strong high. Even after 9 hours I have no need to take anymore. This is pretty bazaar considering I only took 1/3 of a pill. Had anyone ever had this happen to them? ## Hello, James! How are you? Had you eaten, yet? Taking generic brand of Norco 5-325. Had surgery on foot for bone spur. Works ok when awake. have a little pain at the surgery site. But after 60-90 minutes of sleep I wake up in lots of pain. Once I wake up and move around a little the pain goes away. Sleeping and awake I elevate my foot. So is the painkiller working at all? ## Hello, Liz! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problem you're having. Do you think it's possible that you're having nighttime foot cramps? Or possibly moving that foot and flexing it a lot, as you enter deep sleep? Since you're not having severe pain at other times, you may be experiencing breakthrough pain, at night, that goes beyond what the Norco can control. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it ...

My doctor that prescribed me Norco & Xanax RETIRED. I am looking for a compassionate doctor in the N Dallas, TX area that will prescribe these. Don't want to have to go to a pain clinic. ## Hello, Suzi! How are you? Unfortunately, due to the new restrictions set forth by the DEA last year, you'll likely need to see specialists now for both of these medications, it'll be very difficult to find a new PCP that will prescribe them for you. That likely also means one doctor for the Xanax and another for the Norco. According to the FDA, both of these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects that may include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, dry mouth, drowsiness and constipation. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area that ...

My pain doctor gives me my precription for Norco for my 1st 30 day supply with 3 refills.I'm haivng my 2nd to the last one filled in the next day or so with one more refill left to e filled end of October/1st of November. I've been told that I won't be able to get that last refill without going BACK to me doctor because of the new law for prescription drugs. I was also told that the pharmacy issupposed to go ahead and fill the rest of my refills now, "Just this one time" in accordance with this new law. Is this TRUE? ## You will need to see your dr for Norco after Oct 6, 2014. Some pharmacies aren't doing refills after Oct 3 and other may refuse sooner. I changed from watson to interpharm and it seems like its just mot working! Is it me or have other people been through the same thing? ## Hello, Scott! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. And yes, other people have had similar issues. There can be slight variations in the amount of the active ingredients when going from a name brand to a generic, or from one generic to another. The differences are very slight and don't affect most people, but they can cause problems for someone who has been taking the same one for a long time, or for someone that is sensitive to medications. I just noticed my prescription bottle says federal law prohibits refill. It is Norco 7.5 /325mg .Why does it say this? ## Hello, Darlene! How are you? This medication was changed to a schedule 2 drug last year (2014), so you can no longer have refills on it. You'll need to see your doctor each month, just like you would with any other narcotic, to have more prescribed. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is yellow round pill 230 c the same as Norco ## Hi Amy, The round yellow pill you're describing marked with a C on one side and 230 on the other, contains 10mgs of Oxycodone hydrochloride + 325mg of Acetaminophen. This is NOT the same as Norco. Norco contains Hydrocodone instead of Oxycodone. For added verification on the pill's ID, it's reportedly manufactured by a company called Alvogen; and carries a National Drug Code of 47781-0230. I hope this helps answer your question!

How long will 12 pills of narco show in your urine. I took them last on august 8th ## Is it dangerous or additive to take 3 1/2 10gm / 325 Norco pills every evening all at one time ??? Sometimes along with 3 10mg valium ??? ## Are you trying to off yourself? Of course it would b dangerous, especially if you don't take them regularly! OMG Don't do that. And ALL opiates r addictive so if u do this EVERY night, you will eventually HAVE TO take them EVERY NIGHT, IF NOT MORE LIKELY ALL THE TIME.
