Norco M366 Making Me Nauseated
UpdatedI've been taking the light pink or orange generic Norco now they gave me this M366 smaller white pill. Every time I take it I get nauseated. Why? They should be the same....but something is making me nauseated. I've called my pharmacist and they say it should be the same. Has anyone got any ideas? I'm taking it just like I did the other one.

Hello, Leah! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having.
Generic medications are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% of the active ingredients, as set forth by the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984 and they don't have to measure against each other, so there's a chance that this new one is a bit stronger, which could explain the nausea.
The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Since the differences are slight, your body will usually adjust after a week or so. If not, then you should consult your doctor.
Is there anything else I can help with?
It actually does seem to be getting better. Thank you for responding. It's very much appreciated!!!
