Why?? ## There is a new law in Louisiana that states any Schedule II rx written by a dr that doesn't have a Louisiana License to practice medicine will only be filled for a 10 days supply. The dr will be called and informed as to why it was filled for the full amount. Although this doesn't prevent a pharmacy from filling the rx, it is all I can think if that could be the reason why they wouldn't. ## Most pharmacies will no longer fill out of state prescriptions for controlled substances, due to the fact that it is harder for them to verify the legitimacy of the prescription. Another problem is the mandatory limits ...
This is something new to me. I don't know if it's really a 10 or 7.5mg? Help plz. ## Hello, Misssa! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Watson Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. NDC: 0591-2605 Size (mm): 14 Watson 3203 Inactive Ingredients (white version): -Cellulose, Microcrystalline -Croscarmellose Sodium -Magnesium Stearate -------------------------------- -Croscarmellose Sodium -Crospovidone -Magnesium Stearate -Cellulose, Microcrystalline -Povidones -Starch, Corn -Stearic Acid NOTE: The National Drug Code (NDC) for this tablet displays two different sets of inactive ingredients. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause sid...
I just had knee replacement surgery. The surgeon gave me a script for norco 10/325. I also have a regular monthly script from my main Dr for the same medication. If I fill the one from the surgeon will I loose my regular script? ## If the dosing and dosing frequency are the same, then yes, it may cause a problem with both your regular doctor and the pharmacy. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have been on suboxone for I think a little over 3 weeks. I started this to get off of norcos which I took for pain and gained a dependency to. I have chronic pain and cannot function for my daughter, husband, or my management position at work while in so much pain. I would like to be able to take norco here and there to stop my pain. My main question it, I was taking around 8mg of suboxone a day. I took my last dose of suboxone almost 19 hours ago and I am curious if i can take AND FEEL a norco now. How will i know when the suboxone is out of my system so I can get pain relief from norco? Thank you in advance. ## It takes about 3 days for another pain medication to have any effect, after taking Suboxone. You really can't mix Suboxone and other opiates due to the fact that Suboxone...
Hi there, Can anyone tell me why pharmacies only dispense the generic version of the pain pills I am prescribers by my pain management. (Norco and Lortab). The pharmacies say they don't have it in stock and unable to order it. Same answer from the Hospital pharmacy. They say generic is all they dispense. WHY! Is this true? The reason I ask is because a pharmacy technician told me that the big greedy drug companies give their people a 20% field of margin of what they can use. We can all be sure it's not the actual drug we need. Generic has always felt lacking to me. I dont think it used to be this way. When I lived in Washington State, it seems like we had our choice. I know we are being cheated of what we are getting. Is this even legal? Does anyone know if my questions are true...
I had back surgery in July and was given Norco for about three months. Tapering was some of that. I didn't know that Norco was like Vicodin which the doctor knew I couldn't take. I went from high doses tapering down for three months not knowing that that was what was making me sick. I've been off for five months and have felt horrible all this time. Weak, tired, stuffed head, just sick. What do I have to do to get well.? I had depression about 20 years ago but got well with ECT and anti depressants. I've been taking Effexor and Xanax all this time and have felt wonderful. Now this has made me sick again. Could this have caused more depression? ## Hello, Chris! How are you feeling? Withdrawal effects from Norco wouldn't linger this long after stopping it. They tend to...
I have sciatic pain and a torn disc it is painful. I'm having a nerve test done next. I am seeing an ortho. They perscribed norco and I had to go to 6 differrent pharmacies in long beach! My usual is cvs however they have been claiming they don't have it and as the others rite aid ,Walmart, a private pharmacy and others have said : we have no idea when they will have it. Ok I don't believe it. It seems it is an individualized situation wether it is available or not. So if your on the " bad patient" list or a risk in their eyes they all of a sudden don't have it! This is very counterproductive especially if I was an older patient or had no car. They will not disclose any info on phone either. Somehow this has to stop its getting insane! One pharmacy gave me a tip:...
I want to see if the pill Norco comes with the imprint A 60 on it? ## Hello, Gina! How are you? Is it an orange/brown colored tablet that is shaped like a caplet? If so, it is manufactured by Aurobindo Pharma and they list it as containing 30mgs of Mirtazapine, which is an antidepressant. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes.
I am taking for pain of a tooth that needs to be pulled. Also taking clindamycin for infection. When should I feel relief from pain? ## The Norco should help about 15 to 20 minutes after you take it, though it may not reduce all the pain, depending on the severity of the infection. The FDA classifies it as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Once the antibiotic starts taking effect, then the pain will greatly ease and you should start seeing improvement from it in about 3 days. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?
Is a10 325 Norco stronger then a. 4.5 Percocet ## Hello, Terry! How are you? Yes, 4.5mgs of Oxycodone is equal to 6.75mgs of Hydrocodone, so the Norco is stronger. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi I took 1tylenol4 2 to3 hours ago for severe back pain is it OK to take 1 10\325 norco ## Hello, Dawn! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in so much pain. However, since they are both narcotics that are coupled with Acetaminophen, it would be best not to mix them, without your doctor's approval. It could result in an overdose. The FDA warns that these medications have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have been taking prescription norco ever since it changed from lortab. 8 years at 7.5 /325. I truly think the norco does not help as well. I am going through withdrawels as I overtook for 5 days. I still have a script that I can fill in 5 more days. But am having a hard time eating, sleeping, nausea and vomiting, leg cramps, crazy thoughts. If I were not a caretaker for my husband who is on home hemodialysis, which I do, I could just crawl in bed and die. But that is not an option for me. Any thoughts anyone? Thanks ## If you've been on it for 8 years, it could be that your body had built up a tolerance to the medication and you may need a dosage adjustment or to try a different medication. Have you discussed it with your doctor? They should be able to help you figure this out and...
How long would it take to go through a withdrawal from these opioid pain meds such as norcos??? ## Hello, Becky! How are you? It actually depends on how long you were taking it, how much you were taking each day and the way your body reacts to stopping, so there's no hard and fast rule to quote for you. It may take anywhere from a few days to over a month, or so. The FDA lists the withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, headache, diarrhea, rebound pain and depression. How long was the person in question taking it and how much were they taking?
is Norco 10—325 mg stronger than vicodin 7.5-300 mg? My doctor changed my prescription to the Vicodin 7.5-300mg without telling me. Is he trying to get me off the Norco or what? I need my pain pills for my body aches, I have bone cancer on my spine, leg, and hip. ## Hi Sessy, Sorry to hear about your situation. My guess on the stronger medication would probably be the Norco 10/325. I tend to believe the 2.5mg difference in Hydrocodone can provide more pain relief than the 25mg difference in Acetaminophen; but that's just me and I'm not a regular user of the stuff. What are you thoughts on the Vicodin 7.5/300 after taking it? To be honest, I actually didn't know that they still made brand name Vicodin. It's been a while since anyone has mentioned it on here too, so ...
hi, ive been on Norco 10/325 for about two years now and my pain on a scale of 1-10 is a 10, what could I take that is stronger, ive thought about Percocet for a while but not sure. thanks nona ## Hi nona, Sorry to hear about the challenges you're having with pain management. A few other options that come to mind as far as being something potentially stronger than Norco, are those names listed below: Percocet Percodan Meperidine Dextropropoxyphene Hydromorphone (Opana) Although medications like percocet or percodan may be similar in potency to norco, the fact of the matter is that each type of drug can, and often does effect each personal differently (largely influenced by one's individual tolerance and body chemistry). So no matter which medication you end up going with, there...
My pain management doctor has me on norco 5/325. A week or so before my next appointment i took some norco 7.5/325 and norco 10/325. He gave me a urine screen at my next appointment. Will my urine screen show that i took those 7.5/325 and 10/325?
UpdatedIs there a new law in California prohibiting marijuana consumption while taking Norco? Wife has severe neck pain & fibromyalgia - used to take some marijuana to reduce pain cuz Norco was not enough! Now Kaiser tells my wife she can NOT take marijuana or they will stop Norco. True? A law or Kaiser rule? ## Hi Larry, To my knowledge and understanding of the situation with patients being able to utilize marijuana in conjunction with pain management, it seems to be solely based on the doctor's discretion (at least in California), where my mom has been a long term pain patient benefiting from the two forms of treatment, per her doctor's recommendation. I don't think it's as rare as some may believe, but there are physicians out there who do support medical marijuana and d...
Hi, my knees are messed up and I took norco 5-325 this afternoon and one yesterday, which was Friday and today is Saturday. I have a saliva drug test for a job Tuesday morning at 9:30am. What are the odds of failing it? I've been drinking water like crazy. Just wondering if I should postpone till Thursday. Any help will be welcomed.
