Need Help Finding A Doctor To Prescribe Me Xanax (Page 6) (Top voted first)

Please give me a list of doctors that will prescribe me xanax? I have bad anxiety.

Your situation is not everybody's man. Xanax has been making my life functional for years now and I'm on the same dose last four years and I take my meds as prescribed. Not everybody gets out of control.

I have been on xanax for 8 years and also tried getting off of it. I went through the seizures, feeling like I was going to die and actually prayed for death bc I didn't sleep a minute in weeks and when I did get the 20mins-an hour of sleep that was all I was going to get for another week or two. I tried for 3mnths. I couldn't do it. I was so psychotic from the sleep deprivation and withdrawal I would have ended up killing myself. I have severe anxiety to start with. Not just normal anxiety and maybe a few panic attacks but I don't leave my house and I have daily attacks along with insomnia. I wouldn't want anyone to endure the hell of xanax withdrawal but I couldn't live a normal life if benzodiazapines weren't available. I feel for both sides.

Have you found anybody, if so please let me know. I have horrible anxiety and my MD won't prescribe it.

I have real bad anxiety I can't sleep it fills like a truck is setting on my chest I can't breathe it fills funny and it's hard to explain it fills like I'm going to die.

I'm sorry for your experience however, many people legitimacy need some type of benzo to function. The key is not to abuse it. Take what's prescribed and if you feel you nerd a stronger dose, contact your physician. In addition, talk therapy can also benefit. I'm not sure about your doctor but, I know I cannot receive my prescription unless I attend sessions which I believe help in conjunction with meds.

No problem. I have been on them for years off and on. Worked with a good pyschiatrist , on several meds. If you dont have a medical degree and comment constructively keep your opinion to yourself

hi I've been on Xanax for close to 15 years I've been taking 2 mg 4 times a day four times a day that's 120 pills a month my doctor got shut down then got a new doctor saw him for 3 months and he all the sudden tried not refilling my prescription this month and then I told him I was having a seizure and I needed a prescription that this was not fair that he just all the sudden says I need to get it from a psychiatric doctor when he had not informed me of this so they wrote me a script of 90 pills at 1 mg of course that hasn't lasted me my mom died last year my husband just left me I have a 2 year old need I say more I have anxiety at the ying-yang and I'm withdrawing High don't know how to go to work take care of my child I don't know what to do I do not have family to help I live in San Diego La Mesa California does anyone know of a doctor that could help ASAP thank you

Some people don’t abuse benzos and use them responsibly, people like you are why people like me can’t get them.

Very well said. I checked into a psychiatric hospital and the taper was only a week. I'm 3 months Benzo free now. I still crave them but I'm finally getting some of my life back. I'll never be the same though. Never.

I am a 62 yr old woman. I a breast cancer survivor , I. just lost my mom I took cere her every day for a couple years it was hard , and now my dad he is not feeling that good a lot more now he’s 86 I am trying to be there for him and now my son needs me to babysit my 2 year old grandson 12 he day every other week . I have a 70 year old husband at home that I try to take care of when I’m around he has sone health issues himself. I need something to help my anxiety it gets so bad my throat starts to feel like it’s closing up I get to shacking inside my my body and my heart will start to race and I start to hyperventilate a bit it the awefullest feeling overwhelmed I feel so bad at times . I have had Xanax in my past for cancer days but then they went away when I got better. The xanex worked so great for me helped so much . Now with all this I’m going through now I need them again so badly and I need a doctor that will help me . Please help I live in Torrance California thank you Annette Still

I'm curious what doctors in the memphis metro area would be more likely to perscribe benzo's : ( xanax, Valium, klonopin, halcion ect.

I have major anxiety and panic attacks ever since my 2 1/2 year old son died. I have been on every anti-depressant under the sun and also tried most benzos. Xanax is the only thing that seems to help. I recently went to a doc who came right out and said she doesn't like xanax even tho I am already on it and am doing well. I don't get it. I know it can be addictive and I don't take it unless it's needed but I do have a tolerance and need a high dose when I do take it. I need a doctor in Monmouth County NJ who isn't ANTI-XANAX! lol Any help would be appreciated

I live in southern Kentucky...I have been seeing a doc and been prescribed klonipin since I was 16 and I'm almost 30. The doc I have now wont up the dose or switch to Valium or Xanax. My regular doc wrote Valium for a while but they can't write long term. So I sit in my home afraid to go out with panic attacks and being manic depression. Just recently I've also been diagnosed with bi polar disorder. Need a doctor in ky to help me

Hi Manny,

I don't know if this will be of much help to you, but i do know a shrink in delaware that prescribed me a great deal of xanax and valium. He used to be in the Lewes, delaware area and was my doctor at the time. He was reasonable and I went to him for many years, but then he moved his practice to dover and I moved back to arkansas shortly after that. His name is: Doctor Pitts.....He works at Delaware behavioral health and still has a private practice as far as I know.....I'm giving you this info simply because I hope one day someone can pass me on some valuable info like this one day.......maybe my good deed will be repaid.....if you believe in karma......also....Methadone is very cheap in delaware...only $40 dollars/month at the methadone clinics....you might consider going there and getting on methadone for your pain.
