Need Great Dr Around Indianapolis Indiana For Fibomyalgia That Is Not Afraid To Write Oxy Rx

Well my Dr. has decided that he does not want to manage chronic pain anymore, and he has me on 3 Oxycodone 30mg a day by his suggestion not mine I might add then says the other day well I'm not going to write them anymore then wants to send me to a pain management place that does not believe in Narcotics for Fibo PLEASE HELP!!! If you know any DR. close. TY!

Your best bet is a pain management specialist and there are others that will prescribe pain medications.

The biggest mistake that I often see someone in your situation make is that they often contact the new doctor's office and ask if they will prescribe a specific medication. When someone does that, they will usually just say no immediately, because they view it as drug seeking behavior.

To get the best results, you actually need to set up an appointment and make sure that they get a full copy of your medical records. When they can see the information documented by a fellow physician, they will be more likely to prescribe accordingly.

yes I have seen a few pain Dr's and they say ohhh we give NOTHING for fibromyalgia. I am about to pull my hair out and really do not want to go thru withdraw coz my Dr is a ass coz he is the one that suggested I go on it.

I AM RIGHT ON W/ U! FROM FIBROMYALGIA. OSTEAOPOROSIS AND CARPAL TUNNEL THAT HAS SLOWED ME DOWN ON MD JEWELRY. I AM EXTREMELY LUCKY TO HAVE BIPOLAR, ADD AND ANXIETY. ON SSDI AND SUI AMXONE DOC S ARE DENYING ME LEFT AND RIGHT!!! WANT TO GET INTO ALINGTON CENTER DETOX NO IS ALL I NODETOX.

@tRAGEY SHINYPISCES, Post #3... I'm afraid you are going to have to be much clearer in describing what you are looking for. I know your post is over a year old so don't know if you ever got the answers you were looking for. Unfortunately, your comments are practically unintelligible so it is difficult to know if you need pain management or detox.

I just moved to Pendleton Indiana and have been seeing a pain dr in Illinois for 4 yrs, but sadly 4 hrs each way is too far to drive? Does anyone know of a good pain dr near this area , Anderson, fishers, even Indianapolis? And do any prescribe methadone for chronic pain? I've been told it may be a better alternative to the Opana bc of the EXTREME sedative effects it has even after 2+ yrs of use? Esp in the event I ever get pregnant( as my nerve damage is too severe to take nothing?) any help would greatly be appreciated - if I find someone I will let you know- the hard part is it takes so long to get in and my current pain dr ( at my request lowered me from opana to ocycodone but put me at too low a dose that doesn't work and has been refusing to work with it to find a dose that works- "for fear of being audited"???? So I hope the new dr will be willing to get me to a low enough pain level I can function.
