How Long Before Morphine Shows Up In Your System, My son was in a bad accident was given pain killer Im not sure what. The police say he had morphine in his blood when they blood tested him at the hospital. They said any morphine given to him by ambulance would not have had time to show up. please help me. He hadnt ever taken anything else. ## If the morphine was in the system long enough to pass through the blood - brain barrier , creating pain relief or a buzz, then it would show up in a blood test! ## Thank you Matt yes it was used for pain relief in the ambulance and more at the hospital but the police said it wouldn't have had time to show up. ## Did your Son "feel the effects" prior to his blood test by Law Enforcement? If he could "feel it" then the drug had p...

how do you break down, morphine 60mg , that are in the green/white capsules...What is the best way to inject, do u just crush the little beads? ## how to in ject inter vien or skin pop ## It is actually not safe to do so. On top of the risk of overdose, these products contain fillers and not all of them are meant to be broken down by the human body, they are normally just expelled as waste. However, trying to break it down and inject it means that you are placing these products into your body in a manner in which it cannot properly process them out. This creates the risk of blockages, which could result in stroke or embolism. Are there any other questions or comments?

What is the difference between taking 60 mg morphine 3 times day vs taking 2- 30 mg 3 times a day? Dr. just changed my script..it seems like it would be the same thing.PECNGT ## Are any of your Morphine pills extended-release tablets? I don't think there is any differences in the suggested doses, but rather the two 30mg pills-3 times a day allows you to better adjust your dose if you feel that you don't need as much for some reason or another. That's really one of the only conclusions I can come to, unless any of these are extended release tablets. It may also not have anything to do with the above, and could just be a new dosage protocol that physicians have to adhere to when prescribing Morphine (for safety reasons, etc). Either way, the dosing you were prescribed is no di...

pain relief for kidney stones is 3 m-elson 10 mgs sufficient for this level very high level of pain ## There is really no way to say, both pain and pain relief are relative, so it is completely dependent on the person being treated, their pain level and their tolerance to narcotic medications. There may be people with the same medical issue who do not experience as much pain and don't need that high of a dosage and there may be others for whom it is not enough of a dosage. Is it handling your pain? Have you discussed it with your doctor?

I take 145mg of methadone daily .my question is this.i just took 60mg of morphine will i feel it i do no other drugs. this is the first time ive used anything but methadone in 2 years ## Unfortunately, in any medical situation, a patient has to be their own best advocate. Doctors often prescribe medications according to their experience with how well something has worked for other patients. There really isn't a direct answer to your question, as no one can tell you how you would react to Morphine. Since medications can affect everyone differently, some people get great results from taking it, but there are others that it doesn't work for. I do know based on research that Methadone is considered to be 3-4 times stronger than oral Morphine (oxymorphone). And given the high dose of...

Its a round peachy orange pill with a N and 60 on the other ## WHile I don't have any confirmation, so I can't be 100% certain, there are reports that these tablets with the N and a number on the other side contain Morphine in a controlled release formulation. The U.S. brand name equivalent would be MS Contin. It is a narcotic, so it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more: Can anyone confirm this information?

false positive for delaudin. my pain management is as follows: 30mg-er morphone 2x aday, 60mg-er morphine 1 at bedtime, vicodin es 750/7.5mg1-2 tabs by mouth every 6-8 hours, cyclobenzaprine 10mg 1 tab every 8 hours, naproxen 375mg po tab, metoprolol 50mg 1 tab at bedtime, omeprazole 20mg po cap. is there anyting i am taking that would have caused a positive for delaudid? ## The actual medication name is Dilaudid, it contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone, which is a semi-synthetic opiate. Unfortunately, if they are using a cheaper, non-certified test, it is very easy to get false positives and it may have been caused by the other opiates you take, which are the Morphine and the Hydrocodone in the Vicodin. Have you discussed it with your doctor?

What Oxycotin mg is Equal To 100mg Morphine Er ## The Oxycodone in the Oxycontin is actually one and half times stronger than the Morphine, so you would require a lower dosage of it, thus the conversion would be 66.67mgs of Oxycontin. They are both narcotics, so they share a similar side effect profile, which may include: nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with?

I have morphine sulfate tablet (100)mg and wanted to know what CR means? I know the R is for release but what is the C stand for?, Thanks ## Controlled, this means that it's a time released formulation, which would be a generic for MS Contin, other similar markings that mean the same thing are XR, SR and ER. This is a narcotic, so it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with?

Looking for the manufacturer to see if they have a prescription assistance program. Our COBRA has ran out and no ins. ## There wouldn't be an assistance program for this, because it is a generic medication, however, the name brand MsIR is manufactured by Purdue Pharma and they do have some assistance programs. I am not sure if the program covers this, since it is a controlled substance, but here is the contact information, so you can check: Purdue Patient Assistance Program P.O. Box 66547 St. Louis, MO 63166-6547 (800) 599-6070 You can call them between the hours of 9am and 5pm central time. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you for your response. am on 160mg methadone. How much morphine er100 do I snort to feel or how much do I inject to feel? ## I've been shooting up my 100 mg. Of morphine now for about 6 months. The blue, larger then a tylenol, no coating. Just crush it up in a spoon heat it up to a quick boil fold over the melted pill put a cotton in it and dra w it up with a needle and shoot it. Then I always swallow the remaining melted pill. I guess I'm immuned to it. I barely feel anything. I could do 3 to4 at a time and feel a high. There is no feeling swallowing them anymore. Just wondering what would be the next stronger dose of anything to get from my doctor. Needing to know since next week would be the last time I will be able to see him. He will no longer be taking medicade. So I am trying to get a higher dos...

Can you tell me if I can drive while I am taking 2 x 20mgs morphine sulphate per day? ## Have you discussed this with your doctor or pharmacist? It really depends on how it affects you and your ability to drive. Morphine is a potent narcotic, so it can cause drowsiness, dizziness and euphoria, in some people, which could impair their ability to be safe behind the wheel. There are several posts on our site from people that thought they were fine, but got pulled over and fined, for being under the influence of certain medications, so you do need to be very cautious. You may also want to look into your DUI and DWI laws.

Should this medication be prescribed to an adult who is taking Daizepam, Morphine Sul, Opana, Savella and amphetamine tab 20 mg? I don't see any indication for usage by adults. I was told it is to keep the person awake during the day so he can function. ## Adderall can be used by adults, however, it contains mixed amphetamine salts and you listed a 20mg Amphetamine tablet, so it would really be doubling up on the same thing. And yes, it can be used to treat daytime sleepiness, as well as ADHD and narcolepsy. As to the other medications, I am not finding any contraindications listed, but you should check with the doctor or pharmacist to be certain. Are there any other questions or comments?

i got a pill want to know what it is thank you it is football shaped i guess oval and on one side it has 60 and on other side i think it says rph pls help i was told they are morphine but what type sulphate? ## All Morphine tablets are sulfates, it's the chemical salts it is derived from. The tablet in question is manufactured by Ratiopharm Canada and contains 60mgs of Morphine in a time released formulation. This is a narcotic analgesic. Side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help you with?

i weigh 150 just went to the oral surgen, but because i'm in "recovery" i wasn't supposed to do that. they will drug test me tomorrow at rehab. will the 2 mg morphine sulfate still be in my system at 9 am tomorrow??? ## Yes, it will more than likely still be detected. Most narcotics are detectable for approximately 4 to 5 days, after taking them. However, there is really no precise time frame, due to individuating factors, such as your metabolism, overall health, fluid intake and activity levels. Are you under a treatment contract, of some type?

I use Butrons patches (morphine) for pain due to Multiple Sclerosis. Would I be able to take Diflon 500mg safely whilst using these patches? ## That is probably something that you will need to discuss with your doctor, since no one over the internet can possibly know your medical history or how this drug affects you, as well as the benefits or disadvantages that it provides you when combining it with another drug. Only you or your doctor can evaluate something like that and make a prediction as to how it might effect you. On another note: Diflon does not appear to show up under any drug database in the U.S. (not even on google) so I cannot locate any information on it if I was able to help you. You'd want to let your doctor know the generic name of this medication if you do decide t...
