No, actually it is much more common for Morphine to cause weight loss, because it tends to lower the appetite of many people that take it. Now, there are many people taking opiate pain medications who gain weight, but it's usually due to their being in pain, on such medications and thus, adopting a sedentary lifestyle. My husband and I are moving to Naples, FL on Nov.1st and I need to find a doctor who will continue to prescribe me the 180mg of ms contin I take per day. My husband takes methadone 60mg per day for chronic pain and he needs a doctor also. We will not have insurance there so we will be paying cash. I would appreciate any real referrals. ## At this time in Florida you aren't likely to have much of a problem finding a doctor to prescribe them, but getting them filled will likely be the issue. Is this ti 177 morphine,rtound yellow blank on back? Or is it flexoril?; doc gave me. Flexoril and morphine. I spilled both bottles and the #s and tablets.are identical ## No, the markings can't be identical on both, that would be illegal and some drug manufacturer would be in seriously trouble with the FDA. The ones with the TL 177 on them are the generic for Flexeril, they contain 10mgs of Cyclobenzaprine, this is a muscle relaxant. Is there anything else I can help with?

I suspect a local hospital is supplying fake morphine. I took a bad reaction to nightly medication. Recieing supposedly the same drug "Sevredol" via my GP on discharge, the effect is completely different. How do I have this investigated, as I am encountering high levels of obstructive/defensive activity, without raising the issue specifically. The relevant authorities seem reluctant to recieve any form of complaint on the NHS.

My husband does and am wondering if handling his would make me test positive? ## If all you're doing is touching them, to hand them to him, then no, you shouldn't be absorbing enough for it to be detected, because the tablets are coated. There are things, however, the can cause false positives. I was on morphine sulf. Er 100mg tab. rhodes. Then I got switched to morphine sulf. 100mg er mylan. These upset my stomach why did they change my meds. Like that?.I have back pain, even had serg. I need to have it in my system and only have 1 5mg left, and have a urine test on a Monday morning at 9am,should I take it the morning off the test? ## Id take it the Night before the test. Not too late. Before 12 midnight. Sleep and try n wait for your first piss to be in the test cup. This will ensure you are pissing morphine, in some amount. I hurt myself at work and have taken everything i can get my hands on for the pain. Out of all the meds. I have taken 4 7.5 mg. Of lortabs & 1/4 tsp. Of morphine. How long will it take to get those 2 drugs out of my system? I have to be sent to immediate care & they want a drug screen done. :( ## As Long as you have a scrip for the lortabs and morphine, u Should be Fine. But if you need it hidden, then hydrocodone and morphine are both out of your system in 4 days at the most. Less time if you have a steady drink of water for those days.

PLEASE HELP ME, I am so frustrated. I got a shock last week when I went to pick up my monthly prescribtion of morphine sulfate er 200 mg. I take 3 per day for my pain. I usally pay $225.00 for this rx well it jumped to over $1,000.00! I don't have insurance so I pay the cash price and have for over 5 years now for this medicine. I can't seem to find a replacement opiate that is time released the only one I found is oxycontin 60 mg. I get 90 pills every month. The price for the oxycontin is also over $1,000.00. What is going on with this increase? Does anyone have a suggestion on a medicine that is not so expensive? It does not have to be time released. Please help if you can. My 28 yr old son is on day 4 following a tonsillectomy. He was originally prescribed 5 mg oxycodone every three hours and 15mg extended release morphine every 12 hours. The oxy was only providing relief for 2 hours, so doctor prescribed two dilaudid (2mg), every 3 hrs, in place of oxy. He got a horrible headache after taking the dilaided, so he returned to the oxy. I live in R.I> near MA. Does anyone know of a pain clinic that will prescribe morphine and class 2 pills for me? There is really no upper limit, when it comes to narcotics for pain management. It depends on the person, their pain levels and their tolerance to the relevant medication. For instance, when someone is suffering severe intractable pain from cancer and are nearing the end, studies have proven that high levels of narcotics to make them comfortable do not hasten death and greatly improve their remaining lifespan. I found a small blue round pill with an M on one side but cannot make out the other side...it looks like a capital script L...can anyone identify it??? ## Sorry, I can't find anything with just an M and an L on it. Does anyone else know anything? ## Based on the title posted of round blue with M on one side and 15 on the other, this is most likely 15 mg Morphine. You can view a picture here. There is, however, some confusion in your description of having an L on the other side. Which one is it ? M 15, or M L ? Hopefully what you have matches the image. If not, can you please post back with additional details? ## it is morfen its 15mgs and its realy good ## Sweetie it's gonna be a 15 mg morphine or if it's light blue it could be a 15 mg Roxy. I just learned that a friends, yes seriously a friend, has for the last nine days taken a half of a 15mg extended relief morphine every day and was planning to intermittently take a whole one to hopefully avoid withdrawal. My friend is doing this because my friend is going on vacation and his prescription becomes due during the time he is away. Our state has instituted "drug contracts" with the prescribing doctor and pharmacy for people using these types of drugs. This means he can not have it filled early to take with him, and his doctors office has rules about calling for the script 48 hours maximum before it is due.
