Safe Dose

Just received new script 240mgs twice a day.
Original script was 200mgs twice day. Is 240mgs twice a day safe?

There is really no upper limit, when it comes to narcotics for pain management. It depends on the person, their pain levels and their tolerance to the relevant medication.

For instance, when someone is suffering severe intractable pain from cancer and are nearing the end, studies have proven that high levels of narcotics to make them comfortable do not hasten death and greatly improve their remaining lifespan.

Did you doctor mention raising your dosage?
