OK so I had to take a UA for my PO and it tested positive for morphine. The only time I have had morphine is in an IV in the er which was awhile ago...I take zoloft and kolonipn but why would morphine show up? What could cause that!? Please help!!

I was nearly killed in an auto accident in '92. I developed severe fibromyalgia among other problems due to brain damage and temporary coma and paralysis. For years Drs. Told me my pain was all in my head. It wasn't recognized as legitimate until '97. I was unable to even stay conscious due to pain I was eventually put on a very complex cocktail of meds to help me and even achieved some independent life. Now I have learned my medi-care program isn't going to cover it. This will ruin all I've struggled to achieve. They tried me on morphine, didn't do a thing. I was put on hydromorphom it's a redish color with an m on one side and Ms on other. ....but I'm not sure if there gonna work dose anyone know how these work on pain?? I am on 30 mg moriphine ER and it's 3 times a day. But I'm wondering if taking 2 will take away my pain better? Any suggestions? Will it Harm me to take two? I weigh about 110 pounds and I have been dealing with lower back pain from a fall which injured my tailbone and also have pain in my legs. For six years now . I was wondering how strong the morphine 30 milligram extended release was? I have had loratab before and 20 milligram oxycodone. But I certainly don't want to overdose on it. Can someone help me out? Round beige pill crescent moon on one side the other side is either 311 or 3h. I believe it's made by actavis but not sure what kind of pill this is and can't find anything about it during my searches. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ## The closest match I've seen here by Actavis was a round "pink" pill with a crescent moon on one side and 311 on the other. That particular tablet reportedly contains 60mgs of Morphine sulfate ER. I think your guess about the manufacturer being Actavis is spot on, due to the crescent moon. I was accused of self medicating because i ran short on my meds at time of appt. this happened because i simply misunderstood the as needed part on bottle label and took a few at times when the meds wore off after 4 hours. I was supposed to take 1 every 6 hours only so the label mislead me, they cut me loose after a year of dealing with them with nothing to get me to another clinic and simply stated that i was a high risk. i think the main reason they cut me off is due to the fact that i have major respiratory issues so i guess this tells me that no one will help me over this and i guess it means that i will have to just die in major pain because they don't want to help me over these issues. so what am i supposed to do next? any light on this subject would be greatly appreciated. th...

If Vernon or anyone else would know the answer to this question; I would greatly appreciate it. I have written a few times about being given very STRONG pain medication and not getting any relief. It was via an IV and the meds were Morphine 8mg, Dilaudid (2 shots?? don't know why..) and Toradol. I just need to know if a HAIR TEST which my doctor will prescribe for me would indicate the presence of Morphine, Toradol and Dilaudid (which is 10 times as strong as oxycontin 40mg depending on the dose) ?? I have tapered off 100mcg plus 100 mg Kapanol plus Ordine. I got down to about 7mg morphine a day but the pain got so bad I had to go back on 20 mg Kapanol / day. Does any one know of an alternative way of relieving pain without opiates and drugs please? I have started investigating neuroplasticity and pain and have asked my GP about intrathecal pumps which deliver pain medication directly into the damaged area of the spine. I've got a peach color pill its round has 271 and half moon is it morphine? ## Hi G, Based on my research, Actavis makes a 30mg Morphine sulfate ER tablet that is depicted as being round and "yellow", marked with 271 and a half moon logo. Seeing that yours is peach colored and not yellow, I'd question its legitimacy right off the bat - unless you had got it filled at a licensed pharmacy? I was on morphine sulfate (both immediate and extended release) for several years. It helped relieve some of my back pain and I didn't have any trouble getting prescriptions for it in MICHIGAN. Moving to Florida last winter, I gave up trying to get Morphine Sulfate. It was possible but difficult to get it I guess But I gave up. An Orthopedic doctor put me on Gabapentin and it has lowered my back pain a lot. I'm on 600mg 3 times a day. I've heard that Gabapentin can have some pretty rough side effects (like swollen face) but so far I haven't had any. When I was in a nursing/rehab home I crashed 2 times. They were cutting/crushing my morphine pills cause it was hard for me to swallow. I had had a heart pump and respirator used on me for a few days while in the hospitals. Is there any kind of morphine pills that can be broken/crushed? Just wondering. Not suing anyone.
