I'm barely able to write this. Pain meds not working last couple of days. One change is I want to use up some old pills made by Ranbaxy. Might be this be my problem? I googled around but am not finding anything on best generic Morphine Er. TIA! ## Sorry to hear about your pain. This will probably sound like a silly question, but can you confirm that the old Ranbaxy pills were not expired? If they had worked well for you in the past but are not helping now, that would be my first guess. Also, may I ask what mg dose your tablets are, and what is the previous brand that gave you good results? I've been taking 40gs of long acting and 240 of short acting daily for several years. The last month before converting to suboxone I tapered down. 12 hours after my last dose of long acting morphine it took 8mg of suboxone and started a3x a day 8ng of suboxone. I feel great. No side effects except 1st day had a bad headache. ## Wow! Those were very high dosages, so I'm glad that the transition went so smoothly for you. Some people have problems getting the dosage of the Suboxone just right. Hello, I was taking 15mg er morphine 2x a day, was suppose to b 3x, but when I tried going to sleep my breathing wasn't the same, so I dropped the night dose, my question is the dr now put me on 30mg 2x a day, ima lil nervous, I'm heavy set, so u know my size, how will the 30mg make me feel??? That is twice the amount you were taking, so it is more potent and may cause more drowsiness, dizziness and sedation. i took a morphine 100mg but im only prescribed norcos..will it show the difference? if so....how do i clean it out by monday b4 6p.m? ## Yes, there is a very good chance that the test will detect that you took something other than what you have been prescribed. Although they are both narcotics, most of these tests look for the specific metabolites of each medication. As to cleaning out, there is no guaranteed sure-fire way to do that, however, you might be able to improve your chances by increasing your activity levels and fluid intake. My wife goes to a pain clinic where they check her urine to see if she is taking them. She takes them every day yet the past 2 visits the tests have come up negative. How is this possible? ## The very same thing happened to me today! I take the medication every day at 4 a.m. and 4 p.m. I have no clue how I came up negative. Of course he did not give me any of my medication today. I'm extremely upset because I follow the rules and take my medication as prescribed. If anybody can tell me how this is possible I would really appreciate it.

My brother has a drug test coming up in a couple of days from his doctor and he takes endocet, but because he lost his pills for today he took half a morphine pill (30 mg) to deal with his usual pain while he works and he's worried that even when he finds his pills and goes back on them the morphine will show. I told him that since he took only half a pill once it should out of his system in few days even if he's overweight. Hello, I need some help as I just started pain management. I was taking 20mg oxycodone ir 3x a day and it wasn't working. My new Dr just put me on 2x a day morphine sulfate er. Is that stronger because I'm reading oxycodone is 1.5x stronger? I don't wanna be in withdrawal and have worse pain. ## What dosage of Morphine did your doctor prescribe? Would you tell me how long it takes 30 mg of morphine to leave your blood and urine please? ## Approximately 5 days for a standard urine test, usually a longer period of time to be able to detect it in your blood. If you have a prescription, then you are allowed to use it, you just have to inform them of this,when you go in to have the testing done. I ran out of my oxycodone 10. I usually take it 4 times a day. I was given abg 15 morphine until I get my next rx. Should I take it 2 times per day to keep from having any withdrawals? I have only taken 1 and that was at 8 am this morning I had no problems so far.

My Dr. switched me from the pain patch 75's changing it every three days. To Embeda 50 mg once a day. Now I am about to die from withdrawal effects. I don't understand because they are both opiate meds why switching from one to the other should matter. Please help !!! ## Hello, Mark! How are you feeling? Did he have you just directly switch from one to the other, with no break in between? If so, that's likely what's created the problem. Embeda contains Morphine and Naltrexone and, if you aren't already in full withdrawal, the Naltrexone can throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. Does anyone have problems with the new Colorado "Recommendations" Laws that limits non-cancer patients to 120mg. per day? I have had 4 different doctors quit because it's become ridiculous for them in helping actual patients. I have been disabled since 1996 and have undergone 11 abdominal surgeries. I have never abused pain medication, nor filled one early. I understand trying to stop the illicit drug and Script abuse, but they are hurting myself and other legitimate patients. I wish there was a group who had the ability to bring a legal case against these policies, or something to help. I found a hot pink oval shaped pill in my daughters room with a black N printed on one side and nothing on the other, anytime i try searching for it all that comes up are the N 30 morphine pills but this looks nothing like that, theres no score so you can not break it in half, theres no 30 (or any number) printed on it and like it said the N is printed ONTO it with black ink not imprinted in it, please help! btw i am in canada so that might be why i havent had any luck

You need something that can actually help with nausea, such as something containing Diphenhydramine. I don't suggest using anything, though, without consulting with your doctor or pharmacist first, as certain medications may react badly with Morphine and/or enhance the side effects.
