I can't keep any of my PO meds down from the sickness but I can't function with this might Some either. Is there anything out there I can take that doesn't involve swallowing or suppositories!?! I'm feel like I'm dying ## Hello, Cheyenne! How are you? Other than being given IVs in the hospital, you've eliminated the other options. The suppositories are usually great, they tend to work fast. Why are you against using them? What medications are you taking?

What drug stores in alexandria la carry generic for fiorinal Butalbital asa caffeine tablets. 50-325-40 ## Hello, Ann! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no directory of pharmacies that have any given medication or its generic in stock. And from what I can tell, there is currently a shortage and I am not sure if this product will actually be returning to the market, or not. Have you tried consulting your doctor about trying an alternative medication? ## Of course the doctor has suggested another medication but it is either more expensive or under patent so again more expensive or capsules so more expensive. Are you seeing a pattern here?

What is the difference between Depakote and Depakote ER? ## The Depakote ER is an extended release formulation of the medication, the other is the regular release. Is there anything else I can help you with? ## Er is is extended release that is the difference

19 years ago I began taking pills for Bi-Polar. After trying different pills on trial basis for 2 yrs we finally found a combination that works for me and that is Depakote and Prozac. I have found out that I can take generic Prozac but I can not take generic Depakote nor can I take Depakote with out the ER - I must have the real Depakote ER. I see the pill as large oval and gray in color. Because most medical insurances including Medicare and Medicaid will not automatically pay for the real thing so I have to get my Depakote ER approved every two months through Medicaid. For it, it is worth it. I have found that every 4 or 5 years I have to stopped the Depakote ER for about 2 years and then I go back on it again., When my brain won't close down day or night (even though I am on Depa...

Which is worse to take on a daily basis--acetaminophen or aspirin? ## Hello, Pitt! How are you? Well, neither one is particularly good to take all the time on a daily basis, there are risks associated with both. Long-term use of Acetaminophen may cause liver damage and taking over 3,000mgs a day could be fatally toxic. Aspirin is an NSAID and it may cause stomach damage, liver damage, blood thinning and stomach ulceration. The best thing to do is to speak to your doctor about which one is safest for you. The FDA lists the typical side effects as also possibly including nausea, dizziness and headache. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have bad migraines maybe twice a week and I just had major back surgery and I also have a script for hydrocodone.....I'm not sure but I feel like I'm dragging myself around. ...I want to sleep and I feel exhausted....I know my migraine can make me tired but this is way more than normal.....is it the side effects of the 2 meds? ## Hello, Lindsey! How are you? It is most likely due to the Hydrocodone, since it is a narcotic and is well known to cause those types of side effects. It also carries the risk of being habit forming and as listed by the FDA may cause other side effects, including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache and constipation. It would be best to consult your doctor to be sure, though. Is there anything else I can help with?

My generic Fioricet, BUTAL/ APAP/CAFF 50/325/40 is not covered by my Medicare Part B. A couple of months ago it SKYROCKETED from a $25-35 for 100 to over $70!!! Pharmacist said they raised price "because they could"!!! My Social Security is so low ( and my ONLY source of income), that increase devastates my monthly budget! Dr.s have tried other meds over the last 30 yrs., however, NONE have worked as well as this. I suffer from chronic migraines & this usually gets rid of it but also treats the pain if headache breaks thru anyway. Please, can anyone help? ## Hello, Anne! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. Have you tried any of the prescription drug discount cards? There is a link to one that can be found towards the right on most pages ...

I am 24. I Nid to gain weight bt after takin mesegor I have been goin 2 d toilet.do I stop it? ## I am 24.need 2 add weight bt after usei mosegor I have being visitin the toilet ## @jukkym From what I've researched, Mosegor (pizotifen) is most commonly used to treat and prevent migraines, with weight gain being a mere "possible" side effect (i.e. not its primary indication). And I would say if its other side effects (such as loose bowel movements) are contradicting to your goal and its intended purpose, then you may want to ask your doctor or a registered dietician/nutritionist about other alternative ways to put on weight. In my understanding, weight gain/loss is simply a matter of calories consumed vs calories burned throughout the day. So making adjustments to your eating...

i always use mia 110 fiorcet.i got white ones w/v 2355. do they work as good b/c i cant teake the blue. im at the point im just going to to get brand name. does anyone know aboutn this quetson v 2355 qand if it works ## The only way to see if it is going to work for you is to actually try them. Medications can affect everyone differently, so what works well for someone else may not work for you and vice-versa. They both contain the same active ingredients, so in theory they should work the same. Are there any other comments or questions? ## they work better to me than the blue ones ## I think the blue ones are very diff than the white ones. It seems as if the blue ones have more caffeine. ## I agree with you, they are not the same, if you have true headaches, true migraines, true cluste...

My friend gave me 2 pills she claimed were extra strength excedrine, but I had my doubts. They were bright red, no markings, and shaped like the white excedrine migraine. She gave them to me because I told her I was tired, but they really did not have any effect that I was aware of. She claimed the caffein would pep me up a bit, but it didn't. ## If there were no markings on them, it is going to be difficult to determine exactly what they were. It is possible that they were a generic or store brand of Excedrin Migraine, which would contain Acetaminophen, Aspirin and Caffeine. The amount of caffeine in each tablet is only 65mgs, so if you are used to ingesting large amounts of it, such as in coffee or sodas, then it probably wouldn't have much of an effect on you. However, in the...

Pill capsule blue and yellow marked sandoz 78-23 help ??? ## Hi Jake, The closest match I'm finding to your description is a blue and yellow capsule marked with "S F-C" on the blue half and the word "Sandoz" over "78-107" on the yellow half in red letters. It's reported to be Fiorinal w/ Codeine, containing 325mg of Aspirin + 50mg of Butalbital + 40mg of Caffeine + 30mg of Codeine; marketed for treating headaches. Since this bears a similar imprint to your pill, I'd be curious to know if yours could be the same type of medication. One thought though would be to contact Sandoz directly to see if this is the case or not. Their customer service department for product inquiries can be reached at: 1 (800) 525-8747 I hope this helps!

Need an other prescription for fiorinal #3.Will a different pharmacy fill it if I self pay ## Hi Joe, To my knowledge, pharmacies do keep track of what prescriptions are being filled under the same name, so if your worried about filling two prescriptions of the same medication within a short period of time and the pharmacy questions you, it might be a good idea to have your doctor call it in on your behalf to justify any possible discrepancies that could arise as a result of filling too early. On the other hand, if your doctor gave you a prescription for it, then I don't see why the pharmacy wouldn't fill it whether you decide to self pay or go through insurance? Sometimes out of pocket expenses can actually be a cheaper option depending on what coverage you have and if you util...

Mine are bottled as 100mg Sumatriptan, (Aka Imitrex) from Mexico. Used to treat migraines. ## From what I've researched, apparently the manufacturer of this particular pill is "RAAM Laboratorio" based out of Guadalajara, Mexico. If you ever have any discrepancies regarding what you're taking (knock on wood), I found the company's contact information to be listed as follows: Tel: (01 + 33) 3631 5498/4780 4047/48 Email: [email protected] Address: Calle 5 No. 708 Industrial Zone Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico CP 44940 How well would you say it works for migraines from your own experience?

I have been taking one Treximet or one Sumatriptan per day for years. It's the only thing that keeps me going. I have severe migraines and that is the only thing works. It is a triptan like imitrex. These aren't controlled drugs, they just get rid of the migraine. Where can I get Treximet cheaper? In the US the pills are $700 for 9 pills. My insurance only lets me have 9 per month too. ## Ordering them from outside the U.S. would be illegal, since it is available here. My guess is that your insurance limits it due to the price and the fact that most people don't take them every day, but only as needed. Have you checked the prices with other pharmacies in your area? Does your insurance company have a mail order program? Those are sometimes cheaper. Typical side effects of thi...

Will they be making Fioricet Tablets again? The capsules don't work as well on my pain. ## they haven't stopped, you can get brand name or generic ## I have gotten the brand capsules but are wondering if the Manufacturer will start making the brand tablets again? My Pharmacist says they dont make the tablets anymore. If you've gotten the brand tablets please tell me where you got them. ## @Patricia, Do you know which manufacturer it was who originally produced the tablet form of Fioricet? If you do, I would probably encourage you to contact them directly regarding specific details on the tablet's future availability. If nothing else, perhaps they will be able to recommend a different manufacturer who may already be making these again. Another thought is to have a compoun...

looking for a doctor who will write a pain med script for back issues. Any names of doctors willing to do this would be greatly appreciated! ## I take Benadyrl IM 100ml tid per migraine headaches and it works wonders. I also have fused vertabrea in my low back and have not been given anything for the the constant pain. I work in the medical feel and have worked in this field or 28 years. What can I do t get the medication I need? ## Anyone requiring controlled substances on a long-term ongoing basis for the treatment of chronic pain, regardless of what it be from, will have to see a pain management specialist, due to the new regulations that were put in place by the DEA last year. A general practice physician won't be able to prescribe them. Do either of you have a PCP that you see ...

I have been taking them for years; prefer the original but can't find. I just got some 8 mos ago or so from Prime Mail. Since it is a controlled med., have to go to Dr's next week and get the script and bring it to Rite Aid or Price Chopper Pharmacy(New York State). I don't want capsules and I have never gotten them. I called Westward/Actavis, emailed FDA. All say it was a business decision to keep capsules not tablets. Tablets work better. No heads up stopped in 2013. I can't even find any leftovers which must be somewhere? Call Westward 856-424-3700. Maybe if we overwhelm them w/calls, they will see there is a BIG Market for this drug and start making it again. It's worth a try. ## Hey Patty, Overwhelming them with calls/request letters may unfortunately be one of the only ways to get their attention about people wanting Fiorinal tablets back. If they say it was a business decision to keep capsules, my guess is that it was probably because they were cheaper for them to manufacture that way. But when we as both consumers and patients aren't satisfied with a product, it would probably ta...
