Are there any side effects,if I drink alcohol,whilst on medication of fexime,doxytet n' bio metronidazole ## Hi mudah, Based on my research, there are drug interactions between alcohol and Metronidazole. The interaction states that you should not drink alcohol while you are taking this medication and for at least 3 days after you stop taking it. If you do, you may end up having unpleasant side effects such as fast heartbeats, warmth or redness under your skin, tingly feeling, nausea, and vomiting. I haven't come across any specific details on how the other two medications respond to alcohol, but I would strongly recommend asking your doctor about it first, for your own safety. Began taking metronidazale again about a week ago. My husband and I had intercourse exactly a week ago n didnt use protection n im not on bith control. Im worried i might get pregnant again. I am a 23year gal.I had slept with my boyfriend them later I started feeling iching on my vagina.they gave me fixime 400mg,bio-metronidazole 200 and doxytet.and my boyfriend said his not feel any changing on himself,isn't neccesary for him to go for treatment? ## It looks like they've loaded you up with three different antibiotics for this itching you're having. Do you know if they confirmed that it was in-fact an infection and not some other sort of allergic reaction to lube, latex, or something else? In my opinion, if your boyfriend hasn't noticed any problems, I'd still consider having him checked out (diagnosed) for your own safety. Especially if you plan on sleeping together again. I am a 21 year old female and I had a bartholin abscess.. I was prescribed a Fixime 400, Bio-metronidazole 400, Ibuprofen 400 and a Doxytet.. My problem is that I seem to be having a side effect of an itching vaginal opening.. They have, however, found that this drug can cause a miscarriage when injected straight into the abdomen of pregnant animals. Even though I believe an animal study can't really provide an effective answer as to how a medication will effect humans, the studies have obviously shown that there is a possibility of miscarriage. If you go to the lady's room almost every 45 min and you feel like it is burning when you are seated yet when you pass urine it is not, how can you treat that? ## Metronidazole is an anti-infective. what will happen if I drink alcohol and take with metronidazole 334? ## It can cause aggravation of the side effects, so you will likely experience worse nausea, dizziness and drowsiness. I never took the metrnidazole only the amox. I have nearly finished the course and still have dirrheoa and tummy pains. I have some Augmentin 375 given for the original div. which I didn't like. If I take the Aug 375 with the metronidazole 400 will it be more effective than just the amox 500mg?

How long after taking pliva 334 for 7 days could someone engage in sexual intercourse with their partner? ## I think it depends on the reason why the person is taking Metronidazole? If it is bacterial vaginitis or some other sort of infection that might interfere with intercourse, then in my opinion, it would be in both partner's best interest to wait till Metronidazole treatment is fully finished and maybe even take caution a few days afterwards to allow their body to heal from the infection. I would personally feel comfortable after the 10th day, knowing that my partner has pretty much fully recovered from whatever infection it was; but that's just me and I'm sure others wouldn't want to wait an extra 3 days Lol! All sorts of bacteria (infection or not) can pass itself along during sexual intercourse. For this reason protection is just as important in this case as it is when avoiding pregnancy. (Plive 334) Metronidazole is used in the treatment of diverticulitis; bacterial infection, trichomoniasis, bacterial vaginitis, and more. I wouldn't recommend using it however unless you have no other means of protection and you are aware that this other individual does have an infection of some sort.
