Hi Mandisa,

I did some research on Metronidazole to see if it has been linked to miscarriages and according to wise geek.com, studies involving animals do not provide evidence of any harm coming to the mother or fetus. They have, however, found that this drug can cause a miscarriage when injected straight into the abdomen of pregnant animals.

Even though I believe an animal study can't really provide an effective answer as to how a medication will effect humans, the studies have obviously shown that there is a possibility of miscarriage. Also, when I googled Metronidazole linked to Miscarriage, I did see a few sites/forums where women mentioned that they took this medication and had a miscarriage.
