Been on liquid methadone 3 years going in Wednesday to have hardware put in my neck not dosing Saturday and Sunday but will Monday when I pick up my take homes won't dose Tuesday or Wednesday when I go for surgery I'm scared my methadone will block the pain medication they will use in the hospital and I'll lay there in Alot of pain 90 MIL of methadone just barely touched pain I'm in everyday... Why would my urine that's being clean for a few years come back positive for opiates when I have not touched a drug except my methadone? ## Sorry to read that this happened to you too. I had the same thing happen to me a few months back and my take home bottles were taken, so I had to write a grievance to the administration. It took a couple weeks but I got my bottles back and now I'm doing the mouth swabs now. So far no problems plus I'm going on 6 years clean of heroin and coke, don't miss it at all. I am from Bham Al. I was seeing a doctor there that prescribed Adderal 30mg once daily. I am an adult and have dealt with ADHD for as long as I remember. The doctor also prescribed my bipolar depression meds and I also have been on Hormones that has made me feel like a new person. I was having a very hard time with menopause. I am not a 'drug seeker'. Have Rx's for fentanyl 12.5mcg & 10/325 hydrocodone. I am 63 yrs. of age, prescribed 29+ pills daily. I picked up my 28 day Rx's for the above meds, and had my first drug test in my life. How could I test positive for methadone and oxycodone (I don't even know what they look like!)? I requested to be retested with both urine and blood, but was denied. I have seen the same DR for over 18 yrs. I called the next day, requesting to be retested, still denied. I took a 5 panel urine test and the doctor was making sure I was taking my meds! I take methadone for pain and I found out that methadone does not show up in a regular 5 panel urine test! I'm in a methadone clinic, where I dose in front of someone daily. I'm on 65mg and 2 times now i came up negative for methadone. How is that possible? Even if I didn't come in clinic for several days and didn't dose, I should still come up positive!! I have chronic back pain and have had it for 30 years. The only alternative for living a decent quality of life is by taking an opiate. I've had several surgeries and all Dr.s I;ve conferred with has stated that is no longet an option. I now take methadone and have for 10yrs However, because I also have Hepatitis C and Chirosis of the liver my opiate must be very strong to help with the pain and not have "any" adultrants in it. I have been on methadone for seven years. Thru a clinic. I also am prescribed many anti depressants as well as 2 mg klonopin. I just found out iam 10 weeks pregnant. What should i do? I've been on methadone for 15 years for severe pain (after 25 years in recovery, and fighting with v.a. for 3 + years not to take pain meds). The head of the local v.a. treatment program recommended it to me; The only way I would take it was if I was guaranteed for life. A recent v.a. dr. took me from 120 mg to 90, last year (with no notice) then this year to 60, with no notice "again". Now he says the max they can write is equivalent to 100mg morphine. (Anyone know what that is?) Asked last year to try and come off slowly and see how I can tolerate (I was suicidal 15 years ago when I finally went to them.) I temporarily moved to ny from az. I was on a maintenance program in az. I arrived in ny with 3 weeks of takehomes, 10/19 was my last dose. I was at the guest clinic first thing 10/20, after waiting all day they told me they were not happy with the doctors order which was faxed to them from the doctor himself and would not be medicating me. However they would refer me to another clinic. As of today I have been to 4 clinics. The only difference is clinics 2,3,4 refused to medicate me because I have not been medicated in 2,3 and now 4 days. If anyone has any info that may be helpful I would really appreciate it. By the way my clinic in az is privately owned. Their solution to this mess - Fly back to az.

The clinic i get MMT from prepares doses ahead of time in plastic take-home bottles. The dose to taken in front of the nurse directly from the bottle. Last week i tossed the bottle in their trash receptacle rather than handing it back to the nurse. she scolded me and said. " we reuse those bottles" This seems totally unsanitary as many of us have diseases. I am being put under general anesthesia to have a wisdom tooth removed and I am on 15 mgs of methadone per day. Will the anesthesia work? ## Yes, it should work, but you MUST tell your doctor what medications you are on so that the anesthesiologist can dose appropriately!

I have been clean for 8 years now on Methadone. I have been at my clinic for almost 9 years and have NEVER failed a drug test. I had two weeks take homes and a drug test came back diluted (low creatinine 14). Recently found out I am pregnant and the drug tests started coming back as diluted from the first test they gave me while pregnant. I am not doing anything to try and pass the tests because I am CLEAN. Also just found out my iron is very low (hemoglobin & blood cell count is low). I have had an observed drug test and random drug tests since my first came back with low creatinine or creatitine which ever it is and they all came back the same.
