Hi there, this is for the people who are on methadone / or Suboxone. I've been on methadone for an opiate addiction, for a year now. My clean date is feb 2, 2015. At first, methadone was the best thing that had ever happened to me. I finally felt normal, and thought I was ready to get my life back on track. Well.. What a lie that was. I was at 75 mlgs of methadone from February 2015-August 2015, then started tapering off at 5 mlgs a week. I have a rapid metabolizer, so methadone never lasted longer than 10 hours in my system. Now I'm at 30 mlgs and I'm living in hell! I'm in constant withdrawal, body aches, sweating, hot /cold, emotional, aggressive... Etc. I have a long story, I'll try to give some context with the important parts. History before methadone not important I guess. Been on 120mg for first 5 years and the last 5 years with 90mg (always liquid). Had some kind of nervous meltdown a couple of months ago and almost committed suicide. Started cutting myself badly. That urge almost got away now but I just want to feel something again. So a week(ish) ago I started drastically reducing dose, and stopped taking it 4 days ago. I had 2 hours sleep total since then thanks to some sleep medicine. My skin feels like it's burning, but it's a cold burning, all the time. I have this awful feeling in my belly that never goes away. I TOOK 15MG OF DIAZEPAM. I AM ON A METHADONE SCRIPT (100) AND I'M NOT MEANT TO TAKE THEM. what else would cause methadone toshow up in a urine test ## The only thing that would show up as Methadone is Methadone if they are testing for the specific drugs. Most standard urine tests do not, they just test for drug classes and concentrations, such as opiates, Benzodiazepines and Amphetamines. Are you currently taking some sort of opiate? There have been many posts recently about false positives on urine tests, so it makes me wonder if there is possibly a bad batch out there. ## they have to be testing for methadone specifically....otherwise it doesnt show up!! I go to the methadonr clinic every day and take 85 mg of it i at 4 somas and had a 15 panel drug screan and they srnt it to the lab will i fail my drug screan or will i be ok. ## I just did a urine drug screen, take SOMA (prescribed) and it did show up on the panel. ## No. I take them everyday. ## I was on a clinic for 8 years and never showed Soma, which I've been on for 10yrs. ## No, Soma does not show up. Recently I've been experiencing water retention in my right leg. Is this from taking methadone? I've had several tests done. They say it's lymphademia but no blood clots were found. Everything seems to be okay yet I'm retaining water in my right leg. It doesn't make any sense. I heard Do you swallow methadone or dissolve it umder your tongue first?? I ## It depends on the formulation. What are the markings on it? Methadone comes in sublingual, liquid, and sold formulations that you have to swallow. Can you please post back with more details? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. It also carries the risk of being habit forming.

I don't take methadone at all but i took one 10mg tablet. Will it be out in four days? I'm very active and i drink lots of fluids. Hi I've been on Methadone for about 7 months and am completely over it. I have weaned down from 65mgs to 30mgs without too much hassle. I've now been told I can switch to Suboxone but isn't it just changing from one to another, so what's the point? I'm so over taking this crap. I've gone from a size 6 to a size 12 during this time and hate it. I hate everything about it, it's just horrible. It started after a Doctor had put me on Endone for headaches, without telling me they were extremely addictive. I am a 36 year old female, I was pregnant and on 35 and during the duration of the pregnancy I went up tp 145mg. The highest I have ever been. I had the baby and in 4 months detoxed down to 95 with the intention of getting off. However if anything stressful happens in your life your sick. I have small kids and stepkids, I cannot detox with them needing me. I heard of a pill called Buprenorphine. However I'm told it's expensive, and some said it takes 3 days. I want my life back. I have Medicare Insurance Plus State Insurance - I am looking to relocate to a state that will at least help me with the cost of my medicine. Can someone please help? ## I can not pay for my methadone treatments anymore and have been taking it for 15 years. I take 15 mg of morphine 3× day for pain control and 30 mg of methadone 3× day for pain control. Last month I took a saliva test and it showed negative for morphine. I take all of my medicine as prescribed. Now pain management has an issue with me. I want to know why morphine showed negative? ## Had exact same thing just happen to me, except was told it tested positive for tramadol...literally never taken anything not prescribed and I take my pain meds as prescribed ...mouth swAb test the only thing I could come up with ...Had to give a urine sample to restest
